If you were a teenager back in the 80's seeing the way life is now, you can really appreciate those cool 😎 time's, you can take the man out of the 80's but you can't take the 80's out of the man!
💯 I turned 13 so the 80’s were definitely my teen years and without a doubt the best times of my life! You are so right I really appreciate those days now for sure! #longlivethe80’sforever!
Back when musicians actually played and they sang using their real voices. The 80s were the best of everything. Great friends, best music, best time to be alive. Sure do miss those days. Need to build a time machine
If I wasn't mechanically inclined (and a surgery when I was a kid messed that up) I'd build one. The music back in the 80's was so much better than now.
The sad part isn’t growing up, it’s the innocence that we lose through out the years. That’s what I miss the most; the days of innocence and ignorantly enjoying life without a worry. Make the most of your life guys, learn to love, communicate and have meaningful relationships. That’s what it’s all about! I really miss the 80s...wish to have a time machine and return to those beloved days....peace and love to everyone!!
Ahh yes I know what you mean.. when we were young and in a hurry to grow up - we didn’t think we’d lose that youthful mindset .. I look at young kids now and I’m like “try to enjoy your youth as best you can!”
Night Ranger ( the 1980's decade's line --- up or band mates or band members ) is/are : the legendary Jack Blades --- lead vocals, background vocals and bass guitar the great Brad Gillis --- Chief lead guitarist, background vocals and rhythm guitar the incredible Kelly Keagy --- lead vocals, percussion and drums the amazing Jeff Watson --- the " other " Chief lead guitarist, background vocals and also rhythm guitar the gifted Alan " Fitz " Gerald --- keyboards and background vocals
You know...Jack Blades and Kelly Keagy (the drummer) split lead vocal duties. I hate to say it but I actually prefer Kelly's voice over Jack's voice. Both are good though.
Had a friend who was a drummer and sang too. He played with his band for fifty five years. The toured with Roy Orbison and Bobby Vee and others. The name of the band was Jim Edgar and the Roadrunners from Oklahoma City. They were a big rockabilly band for ten years or more.
Back in the 80's I was in my 20's. There was so much great music in the 70's & 80's. I always look that music up here on RU-vid. That was the best time in music EVER!!! I love this song. So awesome!!
I'm 17 and I saw Nightranger last Friday for the first time. My dad and I were on the railing! Brad gave me his guitar pick at the end. It was a phenomenal experience.
Well it felt so good to be young it feels like yesterday. Turned 13 In 1980 so the 80s where are my teen years 55 now merry Christmas and God bless everyone
80 to 86 was some of the best times of my life great friends great cars and motorcycles ,smoke music and girls had the time of my life I'm 58 now and still rock my music miss those times
So do I. But I keep playing it anyway. It's crazy, but I wake up every night around 4....and well guess what song immediately begins playing in my brain's built in Wurlitzer. Then it's off to RU-vid I go to play it ("Four In The Morning") & this. Sometimes that's not enough & I have to hear a concert or album, but can't get back to sleep until I do. This came completely out of the blue a couple years ago. I absolutely love this band & their albums are still some of my favorites, but I am not sure what started this nightly ritual. I figured the 80's were calling & that's fine with me, it was the best years of my life ❤
One of those 80's masterpieces that, when I hear it, transports me back to where I was when I first heard it. Same feeling as "Waiting for a Girl Like You".
Great band! Saw them with Sammy Hagar back in 83 and again with Boston about 11 years ago. Two lead guitarists and two lead singers, how can you go wrong?
I was born in 1960 and have been subjected to a vast variety of music through the years from the 50's on up to the present. There have been some good groups and music that I have listened to. This group have a great sound and an awesome drummer.
I grew up on Night Ranger ,saw them at Mud Island with The Outfield in 88 or 89. I'm a 70s child, 3 brothers 2 were . My oldest brother Steve ❤ loved Night Ranger, Goodbye was one His favorite songs. Steve is gone now, 10 years this past March. We All Love The Same Music, not always the same song necessarily. Sadly enough , I never got to Say Goodbye. I have not yet been to his 🪦 , listening to this song gives me a connection to Him. Awesome . Miss you Brother ❤
Great band, I seen them with Quiet Riot in 83 or 84 in Winter time with my best friend!! We froze our asses off after the concert, it snowed!! But we were not feeling any pain!! Great memories!! Damn I feel old!! Lol
I'm lucky enough to have realized even at 17 that those would be some of the best times of my life, great memories of being a teenager in the 80s, and I miss it very much...
I wish I coulda appreciated it for the singular event that it was...I just thought the world would always be the same...so I look back with regret and appreciation...what a great time to be alive!
these songs take me back to when I started playing drums with my friends in a band and we were learning these songs to add to the set list. good times.
Awwwww….. bring back the 80’s!! Such a wonderful time to be young and riding around with your friends, cruising around town. Wish I could go back to those carefree days. Seemed like they lasted forever in the moment, but dang how fast time really did go by! Growing up in the 80’s was awesome and I can say I learned about ❤love❤️ in the back of a Chevrolet 😂 😂😂 but it was a Toyota instead. Lol 😂😂 Miss those days!!
Update of NR show. Kelly Keagy has lost his voice and it was brutal listening to him trying to sing his hit songs, especially Sister Christian. Man I just felt so sorry for him. Thank goodness Jack Blades was on fire on the other songs and absolutely carried the band. The guitarist who replaced Jeff Watson was definitely good but Brad Gillis' crazy whammy bar action was the main lead on most songs on their set list. I miss Jeff Watson, he was amazing back in the day. All in all, I'm glad I saw them, but once was enough. It was bittersweet.
I remember seeing a band called Ranger at the Phoenix theater in Petaluma. I was a producer/ engineer with a small label. After the show I approached them because I knew I wanted to sign them. They said they already had a deal pending. Within a year Nightranger put out their first album. They were incredible and still are.
I work for Jerry Glasser at his body shop in Ohio. Asked to get off early to go see these guys in WV. He said that his brother produced for that band. I called bullshit. He proved it with the cassette cover. Pat Glasser productions. Guess Pat was the guy who saw them first.
In my junior and senior years Night Ranger was my favorite band. I saw them on the Big Life tour and met them briefly backstage -- had the fan club membership card in my pocket! Though I went on to be a Rush nerd and a prog-head, I still love the band and enjoy most of their new material.
This song makes me regret who I used to be. I never cared enough or let my guard down long enough to truly allow someone to get to know the real me. Yes, I eventually married w/divorce but I always wonder about the others who I never gave a chance.
@@Frankie-qb9fh Great advice, it's a wonderful thought, but she's married now. I truly appreciate the reply though. Thank you for understanding and throwing "hope" my way but it's just too late now. Thank you though, your kindness made me smile.
Yeah I know!!! I catch myself thinking those thoughts too… Like, what might had been???? I suppose we’ll never know, cause unfortunately we can’t go back…
@@kristelJones-br5zr Exactly ...... and yet unfortunately. But we live life now the best we can with the knowledge we've learned over the years. Hopefully it's worked out the best for all of us.
A very great guy from another school back in the early 90s was killed along with 4 other guys in a horrible car crash, one girl survived. I saw them all at the club that night…they were celebrating the driver’s birthday who turned 21. They had been drinking & the guy was driving fast & it flipped a few times & caught on fire with the boys in there. The girl was thrown out the moon roof & survived luckily. I often think of Mark - he tugged at my hair that night to say hi which I did, but I was with my boyfriend & didn’t want to make him jealous. I really liked him & wish I could’ve driven him home! 😪😪😪 He will always be in my heart! ❤️
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. 💫Thank you. Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. 🌈
Absolutely! Brad Gillis is so underrated. Brilliant guitarist who replaced ( as if anyone can) RIP Randy Rhodes for Ozzy’s band. During Night Ranger’s hits period many of us didn’t know his name but knew he played great. Brad was “ the dude who plays for Night Ranger”.
Whole decade of toxic masculinity!!!! Nobody transitioning. Nobody telling you how to feel about anyone or anything. Greatest decade in the history of mankind!
@@thunderanderson Honestly, I think we just weren't paying attention and got soft in our hearts, and in our heads. Not an indictment, just an observation.
No one was in your face with their sexuality. Boy George was an awesome musician but it was not talked about what went on in the bedroom. I miss those days.
Four days later they were at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. I don’t have the ticket anymore, but I have memories. I wonder if my date (first real girlfriend) ever even thinks about me.
The 70's and 80's were great! Alot of teenagers now no about these days because of their Parents and videos such as this. I remember watching this video on the show called night tracks . Come on late nights and I couldn't wait to see what the next day had in store, Good times definitely.
Best song... Thanks for the cool tunes! Weird that I'm mid 40s and am only getting into NIGHT RANGER now... Feel like I missed out but good to see you're still releasing stuff that's on the money!
@@ronaldfinley2985 good on ya mate, thanks for being living proof YOU CAN STILL ROCK IN your 70s! 😆👍... If I'm lucky I'll be doing the same in 27 years, and if I remember I'll give an update on this comment about how I'm getting on! 😂👍... til then ROCK ON!!!!
Oh, the 80's! Graduated in 81 & freedom never felt or sounded so good back then! Good lord though, I've NEVER told my kids half the sh*t we used to do. But it was damn funnn. 😜
I was born in 1989. I wish I could have been a young adult (18 - 25) in the 1980s. I love everything about the 1980s and times were so much better. Today's youth will never know what true fun really is.
