Ciao Claire,ti seguo sempre perché secondo me spieghi molto bene le differenze in Italia,specialmente per gli inglesi. Ma l' Italia è diversa da nord,centro,sud ed isole come dici ed è vero. Io,non amo la Spagna per esempio,mio fratello è stato anni fa' a Lora del mar,vicino a Barcellona,è andato in discoteca e non l'hanno fatto entrare..perché era italiano,facevano entrare solo i britannici,uomini e donne,perché bevevano e spendevano molti soldi,anche con risse e danni...non mi piacciono gli spagnoli,se ti capita fai un video dove spieghi le differenze tra paesi europei. ❤la città più cara d'Italia e' Milano,o Bologna o Torino,non Roma 😊
Hey Claire, what are your views on dental insurance there? After insurance here in the states I am looking at $1500 plus for some work done and separately I just cracked a tooth that will need extracted and replaced with an implant. 5000 dollars for that! Just mad prices for dental here. I believe the medical plan is 2k euros a year now in Italy and does that include dental?
Dental prices in Italy are very different... Range for that problem is from 750 (South-small villages) to 3-4k (North-metropolitan city). So, due to public health medical services and not so mad dental prices, insurances are not so used.
Great video. Have you done a video on taxes. I heard taxes is like 40% if one makes more than 50k? Unless you move to a 7% region. Is that true? I'm hoping to retire there in 10 years.
If you are planning to retire in Italy then, presumably, you will have no gainful employment there and so income taxes can be ruled out. What you should be asking about is what are the requirements in order to obtain permanent residence. Which means what do you have to prove in order to ascertain that you will not become a burden on the state fpr things like health care etc.
It’s a bit more complicated. Tax rates are applied progressively. Let’s say you earn 80k euro a year. You will pay 23% on the first 28k of your income, so 6440 euro. Then you will pay 35% on the part between 28k and 50k, so 7700 euro. Finally, you pay 43% on the part exceeding 50k, so 12900 euro, for a grand total of 27040 euro, which yields an overall tax rate of 33.8%. Obviously this doesn’t take into account all the deductibles, which may be substantial and may lower your actual taxes.
