When you have only one embryo, what do you do?Day 3 transfer or wait till day 5 ?

Very nice topic. I think it depends on other patient factors as well such as whether it will be the patient carrying it or a surrogate. If the patient has taken the hassle of finding a surrogate it makes sense to culture it until day 5 to be absolutely certain that this will have a reasonable chance to result in a pregnancy.

Thank you for posting this video. I am of advanced maternal age and hoping to get a live birth with my 3 day transfer. I'll be sure to let you know if that happens. So far, I only have 2 fertilized eggs.

I'm in this position now. I had a day 3 embryo in top quality frozen, waited 6 days the rest didn't develop, so only 1 embryo,...was told next cycle either transfer it as is or wait until day 5 to culture.

I keep telling this to my current clinic who just keeps refusing to transfer on day 3 when all my embryos have been a good quality up to day 3 and then stop developing on day 5 or 6 smh. I am so frustrated, we keep having the same results 3 times already.

If it’s 2 embryos would you say day 3 option is better?

Got 3 embryo and on day 4 Dr said 2 were discarded and one is in between grade A &B which she freezed and wanted to wait till next cycle. At the same time she wanted me to go for another set of stimulation so that she can decide which one is better .. I’m so lost

Doctor gave me progynova bd twice a day . Day 9 ET scan 11 mm ET in evening slight discharge then next day slight bleeding. Canceled transfer could you please explain why did I bleeded . I was taking pessary vaginal 3 days for precaution for any infection
