When you meet the one God will help you... 1. overcome the fear of the opposite sex. 2. overcome the consequences of past sins. 3. overcome unmet expectations. 4. overcome your desire to only love in the ways you want to love. 5. overcome the temptation to put this person above the lord.

Every time I imagine myself being married I always imagine my future spouse and I doing things together like washing dishes, eating breakfast, doing laundry, playing with our children. It’s those little things that I look forward to.
From personal experience my trust and faith in him didn’t grow until I allowed him to show up for me. I had gotten to the point where I did everything I could do trying to control but it didn’t work, I had no other option but to give him the opportunity to show up. You can’t trust him until you’ve seen him show up, he can’t show up unless you stop holding yourself back and walk into your fears to allow him to catch you.
The Lord gives you so much wisdom. Number 5 is definitely one thing that God worked out in me in these past 4 years of singleness. I always put the man in my life first. Now that I’ve grown in the Lord and put him first in everything, I finally know that God will always be first and if he brings a man into my life again, that will never change. God is so good. We must obey and trust in his ways. We don’t always see him working in our lives, but he always is.

I hope when Christians hear: "when you're a Christian, you will not be punished for your sins" (2:28), we will not be deceived to think that as Christians, it is okay to sin. 2 Peter 2:20-21 20 If indeed they have escaped the corruption of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, only to be entangled and overcome by it again, their final condition is worse than it was at first. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than to have known it and turned away from the holy commandment passed on to them. God is a merciful, kind and loving God but he is also just and holy. As Christians, if we have fallen back to sin, we will reap its consequences. If we repent, God is merciful to forgive to deliver us from eternal punishment, but he is also just to bring the temporal consequences to pass.

Wow, this is really good information. I suffer from a lot of past trauma.. and my whole life and way I lived life changed once I got saved a little over 2 years ago. I still struggle sometimes believing I could be loved because of my past, and I have a hard time accepting God's love for myself. But I know that God is working on me and his timing is best, whether I understand everything isn't relevant. Just trusting in Him and doing my best to let him have full control. I’m a loner, who gets rejected so I give up on humans. I only speak when spoken to, and if God wants me to have love, then love will have to find me first.
I’ve met this guy at my youth group and I usually go to guys but her came to me and I really do think he’s the one!! We have the same opinions and so much in common and believe in the same way! He really cares about me unlike the other guys! But I still pray to god every night about this guy! Do u have any advice ?

Your comments about having no experience were so true. I have never dated someone and I can relate to those things. It makes you feel like you’ll never find someone or you will sabotage things because you think it won’t work out since you’ve never been in a relationship.
Austin, I never knew there r guys like that. When you keep seeking and spending time with GOD, He will help you overcome those fears. I was also so fearful of guys..not the younger ones but the ones older than I am. The younger ones are like brothers to me but the older ones are prospects. Lol.. of course they gotta be single. This is probably because of my culture here in the East. Go and be friends with people in church or any church gatherings...... You will know who to ask out. From a lady's POV, dont fear rejection. A good woman will value your effort. If she says no, respect and remain being friends. We woman, will value that. You will never know if someone else is watching you and will value you for being a gentleman. Also, invest in yourself.

The only problem I ever had was that I would get down on myself when I got rejected. I would respect the girl but would get down on myself. But God has been working on me.
Wow...I lost my courtship guy after 5 months because he said I live in a make believe world, because I'm so hopeful. He says marriage is not easy. And it bothers him when I'm so positive. 😢.
I just feel like I'm never good enough for anyone. And the guys I always tend to have feelings for always have crushes or are in love with my friends or aquaintences so it makes it awkward because I never mean to like someone who likes my friends but it always seems that I'll start liking someone and I'll figure out they like this other person. It kind of intimates me not to talk to him in person because I really don't want to be judge. But the girl who is a friend I feel like I'm getting jealous everytime I see them together just talking and I feel so bad cuz it's definitely noticable...🙁😥😥 I was really only hoping this year to just make as many Christ like friends as I could, not have a silly crush on someone that makes me feel easily jealous, I feel so bad because I feel like a bad person for feeling this way. Please pray for me to be a good godly friend all around 🙏❤ I just want to focus on God more and love people more without focusing on me, and I seem to keep getting side tracked by my sins...I hate that...
