Don't follow. This was created/written by Jesse Armstrong, and the whole 'ceaseless stream' thing is basically a continuation of the style pioneered in The Thick of It (which Armstrong was heavily involved in), then done in Veep (created by Armando Ianucci, also involved in Thick of It). Watch those, and you'll see the lineage. Wasn't aware McKay had any major role in this beyond executive producer?

People compare it to Shakespeare, but that works only in the context of the overall themes. But Shakespeare’s words were meaningful and poetic, while the dialog in Succession is borderline gibberish. I spend whole episodes wondering if I really understand what’s going on. But it works!

To me the whole show is "hey, which of my kids gets the company". 3 seasons in, that's all they still talk about. It's not that good a show to me. They also overuse the work "f#$k" a lot and that bugs me. I like a well used "f#$k" sparsely.
