No lie we used to have a border collie and a pit bull. Every time our pitbull would get out or run off I'd have our border collie herd him and pin him down while we put the pit bull on a leash. 😂 I love and miss those two four legged kids.🥺

All dogs rule the roost. Who feeds who, who cleans up who's waste, who walks who, etc. It is all worth it. A dog can turn a bad day around with just being present.

@@littlewoodimp It really took no effort at all to teach him to do it. I usually take him on his walks, but on the rare occasion that I don't, the first he does when he comes in the house is run up to me just to say hi. So I thought it would be really funny if I hid from him, and I did. He went to where I usually sit, was confused a minute, and started looking for me. Now, anytime i'm not the one that walks him, he expects me to be hidden and looks a little disappointed if i'm not. And to do it outside, I just stand at the front door, get him excited, then I go outside without letting him come and I go run and hide somewhere and after a minute, my wife opens the door and he flies out of there tracking me down, following the exact path that I took. He LOVES it. I gotta say though, there is one thing he loves more than tracking me and that is playing "Red Bug". Red Bug is a laser pointer that I bought for my girlfriend's cat and i'd never seen a dog that cared much about chasing lasers, but he is literally obsessed with red bug. I am convinced he would run himself literally to death without ever stopping to rest if I didn't put it away. He just can't stop chasing it, like its an uncontrollable obsession. And whenever I say Red Bug his entire attitude and demeanor changes. His ears perk up and he starts frantically looking around on the floor trying to find it.

That's especially the one that got me too!! The dog even kinda snarled that lip 😅

@@einienj3281 We evacuated Hurricane Laura actually. His second time after going outside and he remembered where we were. I was surprised to see him counting doors and turns for a new place. He did pretty great. All he needed was his dog bed which I brought and a big bag of dog food just in case we didn't have a home to go back to.

My rooster learned that too. He realized I come out and feed the flock right when I get up. So he sits by my exterior bedroom door with all his hens and as soon as he hears the alarm, he crows incessantly till one of us comes out to feed them. Provides for his ladies perfectly and even eats last. If one of them is laying and not there to eat, he'll guard some food for her till she arrives. He really is so awesome.

Oh gosh I can relate to your comment SOOO much , because I used to be a dog walker / pet sitter and now I can't because of crippling pain and debilitating arthritis etc hip and Scoliosis etc !! I may just be a CAT foster carer instead !! I miss my animals !! 😓
