Em rapped with an insane fast-paced flow with crazy rhyme schemes and great lyrics. The lyrics though, were purposefully surface level, he didn’t really do any flips, wordplay, or doubles, he wanted people to understand every single thing he said point blank because they always misconstrued his music’s messages and he wasn’t gonna let them get away with it this time. Hov rapped with his signature unique flow that only he could get away with; used an insane rhyme scheme that made breaks work where they shouldn’t; and had insane flips, doubles, and wordplay. His lyrics were equally as deep as Em’s, but they were told in a way that would prove how surface level the government and media view his catalog. They don’t dissect lyrics like we do, so all they got was “I was poor and now I make millions”. His opening bar is literally the thesis to what he’s conveying with the track: “Mf say that I’m foolish, I only talk about jewels. Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?”
