BRO! yu-gi-oh vrains was insane, it felt so realistic going through actual combos with decks which saw actual play in the TCG/OCG/MD, it made the anime fun to watch and not constantly feeling like the antagonist's insane boos monster which have been built up is a 2500 atk no relevant effect monster that makes you feel disappointed, overall liked the characters too, a great serise overall, not perfect but my favorite.

Bro I literally found out for the first time like 2-3 months ago that canned water exists, was chilling with some friends in a shopping mall and one of the stores inside sold canned water, I had a mental breakdown so hard that I ended up buying one. Now the can is in my room placed in a shelf.

It pisses me off so much when people claim that DM sucks because it supposedly didnt have rules. Thats only partly the case for the Duelist Kingdom arc. Everything past that had set rules, which are of course slightly different from the real game, because it actually predates it. Any set spell card being able to be used like its a quick play one for example. Cards also sometimes have different effects than their real counterparts.

Arc-V is where it really felt like the anime started being a realistic representation of the game. Yeah, you still had people piloting garbage, but there were less OVERALL "anime cards" literally only designed for 1 in a million scenarios. Yes, there were still moments like Playmaker vs Revolver in VRAINS where Playmaker plays a trap that only worked when like 8 monsters were co-linked, but the overall decks were far more playable than the absolute garbage played by Jayden and co. Earlier "anime archetypes" were usually just hot unplayable garbage like arcana force or iron chain or earthbound immortals. Yes, they had Blackwings and such and later series had prediction princess or g-golem, but the amount of Blackwings compared to Fluffal, Yuya's good pendulums, Speedroid, Phantom Knights, Code Talker, @imposter, Altergeist, Gouki, Salad, Rokket, etc. isn't even CLOSE.

Vrains did aoi dirty basically every duel wasn't just a loss but they lost in the most embarrassing way possible usually resulting in getting slammed into the ground or into a cliff face or having a literal mental breakdown mid duel

I tried so hard to like Arc-V but they made Yuya's personality a bit difficult to enjoy. Plus the constant "that person looks exactly like Yuya/Zuzu" and then proceeding to show a character that looks nothing like the aforementioned characters. Plus I never understood why the fusion people always clasp their hands together when fusion summoning. Like, I get that it represents the fusion, but literally no other summoning dimension does anything like that for their summons.

My favorite yugioh anime. Was season 0. I always felt they should’ve made duel monsters like that. Unfortunately they only had one season where it was that dark and eery. GX second half kinda matched the dark and violence in it but after that it just became bubblegum & pop. 5Ds had its glimpses throughout. But then to me it wasn’t that good. I stopped watching after 5Ds and even then I only watched in parts cause I just stopped playing/watching all together really.
