I've thought about you so much almost every time I've been on RU-vid. I've always remembered you and your husband in my prayers and just prayed your safe and okay. I hope you are okay sister. Welcome back ❤️❤️❤️ I hope your back for good now xxxx
@Green Titanium ha ha sorry brother but i know the faces of middle east lady's , they do got some european features yes but they characteristics are very distinctive you can get it wrong
Despite your mom is Greek and reason you don't have Greek ancestry is because you have NATIVE Cypriote ancestry. Islands of Cyprus(Alashiya) and Crete(Minoa) were hellenized by Greeks, but they are very ancient west Asian(Alashiya) and north African(Minoa) civilizations.
@@alissa6 This is so interesting. I have also taken the AncestryDNA test and I came up as 84% Cypriot which surprised me as I was under the impression that Cypriots do not have their own individual genetic line. I am puzzled!
@@mikaellakaraiskaki4685 Ancient Cypriotes were neither Greek or Semetic. And they stayed that way, until approx 400 BC when they got colonized by the Greeks. Island of Crete was also ethnically independent, however it got invaded by Greeks a millennium earlier than Cyprus.
@hey hey shin chan the test is about geographical areas not countries. The Cypriot DNA on map is a mix of Greek and Levant hence why its not classified as Greek. And for example turkey on this test means Anatolia and not ethnic turkic. Real Turkish genes would fall under central Asia. Turks are mostly anatolians / little Greek / Armenian etc...
ANDREW Dont take it too literally I think we will all in 10 years or so find out it was all a big scam. You are what you feel if you feel Greek then that is what you are.
I’m full turkish Cypriot and my mums ancestory kit said mainly Middle Eastern with a bit of Italian and Greek... mad we even had 1% of a island with black people.
this was interesting! i got my results recently and i've grown up thinking i was at least a quarter greek (cypriot i think?) but i had none at all? it came out as italian. so i uploaded it to GEDMATCH and discovered more and that i did have cyprus in me.
Asalamalaikum it's actually a fact Google that children naturally take more of the father DNA each time so your dad's grandad great grandfather great great grandfather etc so you will be more of whatever is coming down from the men and your dad's side of the family
Uhm, no. That's not true at all. Maybe you're confusing Y-DNA with autosomal DNA (which is what this test looks at). Y-DNA is passed on through the male line (so not applicable in this case). In terms of autosomal DNA, which is the basis for ethnicity estimates, children inherit roughly 50% from each parent (male children may actually inherit 1% more from their mother), so her father's side would not predominate. However, within that 50%, the recombination is somewhat random, so grandchildren do not usually inherit exactly 25% from each grandparent, and one grandparent's genes might predominate over another from that same side (paternal or maternal).
Do you speak both Greek and Turkish? Ben Türkiye ve Yunanistan çok seviyorum. Böyle güzel diller ve harika insanlar. Türkçe öğrendim hhhh. 🥰 Salaam alaykoum
My friend’s Turkish Cypriot and his girlfriend is Greek Cypriot and her father hates Turkish Cypriots and was against their relationship . When she did her DNA test she turned out to be more Turkish then him! She had no Greek Dna lol !
@@lizzyw8 it's not greeks lol, cypriots have west asian/middle eastern dna bc obviously cyprus is a west asian country lmao, actual greeks are like 70+ percent greek
You're not russian. The eastern european can come from a lot of different countries. It most likely from the balkan or any other eastern european country. Plus, it's 1%, so it is a noise(which means that you don't really have this ancestry). Hope you understand! Have a nice day!
@@morchario we have a saying- " if you call yourself a mushroom, get in the basket." she has called herself Russian more than three times - now she will dream of the Kremlin Stars, the Boulevard Ring and the nose of a Border Guard Dog at " Place of Revolution" metro station for the rest of her life. )))
Hey, you look so gorgeous and just like a friend of mine ! 😇 Especially, love your eyes ! 😻💚💚 They are so deeply ! 💚 I'm bulgarian, but I have russian and turkish roots like you ! 😇 My Ancestry DNA results showed me this : 76% The Balkans , 13% Greece and Albania , 5% Eastern Europe and Russia , 4% Baltics and 2% Turkey and Caucasus . 😊
I got 16% Cyprus along with 46% Anatolian and 13% Persian with only 20% arab and I thought I was 100% Syrian. Anyways does my 16% Cypriot dna mean Turkish or Greek Cypriot?
You don’t even have Cyprus? I have Cyprus in my ancestry because they do have their own like Malta 🇲🇹 . I believe my Assyrian side must’ve married to Cypriot long ago which make a lot of sense because there been Assyrian church in Cyprus . But your dna shows 73% Middle East but I have Levant region, Turkey, and Cyprus. Malta and southern Italy (Sicily) I feel exotic. Lol
Great I'm Greek Cypriot and did mine on my heritage I believe that gives more accurate picture of Semitic Arab and west Asian as the DNAs are very different I also did mine on my true ansetry and what that does pics up DNA samples from excavations from different areas in the world this gave me a picture who I really am I'm only 3 percent ancient Greek most Greek Cypriots are more Israel DNA then mixed converted to Christianity in 200ad mixed with Romans giving them Greek DNA results
@@CypriotSister I only ask because i am British, and proud of my ancestry and heritage like yourself, but due to immigration in a few decades British people will become a minority in our ancestral homeland. I don't dislike or hate people of other ethnicity's or races, i just don't want my children to become a persecuted minority in the lands by ancestors have lived for thousands of years.
h hazel its £79. Press DNA it should come up. The free trial is something different. Its just to browse the website and they will match you to your ancestors by name
You are a Christian fron Cyprus, and a Christian fron persecuted Christians fron Middle East that fled to Christian Cyprus. You look Russian with some added to it. You are beautiful, show us your hair, we can’t you you well.
Cyprus is Christian and you look European m, your DNA prouves it. It shocking to hear someone considering himself or a part of his/her body to precious for others. It’s arrogant. You talk about DNA, but we don’t know if you are blonde or dark haired. This fétiche with hair or whatever to hide is men made and is Middle aged. We are tired to see it.
@@MH-tn3pp Both my parents & grandparents are from Cyprus. We are ALL Cypriot & My mum & dad CHOSE to be Muslim. We are MUSLIM CYPRIOTS, GET OVER IT!!!
@@MH-tn3pp you do know that hair and eye color has nothing to do with ethnicity and race? lmao there's a ton of blonde and green eyed syrians out there
@@CypriotSister I am with you there , sick of people saying Cypriots have to be Greek. We are Cypriots full stop. Whats the DNA of a Cypriot well there isn't one . I once told my dear mother we are a bastard race. We have DNA from all over the place. I came out 50% greek/italian 29% middle east 5% jewish rest northern europe. Then it got modified to more Turkish . To be honest it meaningless as much of Turkey was once Greece. Plus what is Turkish DNA probably not routed in today's Turkey. My son did his and he turned out 79% Turkish he jokingly messaged me and said "bloody hell dad you made me a tourko" At the end of the day we grew up as Cypriots and that's what we are.+
Yes because ur northern cypriot so Basicly u aren’t Cypriot ur Turkish because of the invasion ur Turkish ancestors settled and idk why arab but yknow yeah ur not greek which is really sad
