This video explains one of the most frequently asked questions recently "Where are Ray-Ban Sunglasses made?". Alison is here to show you that most Ray-Ban Sunglasses are still made in Italy, although there are some Authentic Ray-Ban Sunglasses that are now made in China.
Ray-Ban has been known for the Aviator and Wayfarer Sunglasses being made in Italy only, although recently the Ray-Ban did begin manufacturing some Ray-Ban models in China as well. So far, all of the Ray-Ban Sunglasses that we have seen made in China were metal sunglasses. The plastic Ray-Ban Sunglasses still appear to be all made in Italy, but this may change in the future as well.
According to Luxottica (Manufacturer of Ray-Ban Sunglasses), the machines and materials used to make the sunglasses are all identical to that in Italy. They say that the only reason the sunglasses are made in China now is for the lower labor costs.
We have found the Sunglasses that are made in China to be the same quality of the ones that are made in Italy. The Sunglasses do come with the same warranty, and we do not see more sunglasses returned to us for defects for the sunglasses that are made in China vs. Italy, although we do find that when a customer sees that their Ray-Ban Sunglasses are made in China rather than Italy, they are usually not very happy. From us, however, they can rest assured they are always getting authentic Ray Ban sunglasses.
