Lol. What do you mean all that? I did all the work so people don't have to waste time trying to figure it out. I think everyone is looking for mp4 files...
RU-vid Premium is not click bait. There are many other useful features besides downloading videos. The point is so that you can watch RU-vid off-line. Not so that you can put together your own personal video collection.
When i download videos with premium can i use them in CapCut Software ? or are they only stored in youtube without a acces to use them for other reason
This video was too show that you can't do that. RU-vid downloads are only for rewatching. And most useful in places where you do not have an internet connection.
On mobile I think the youtube downloads are on a timer if that's what you mean? They are still real downloads but I agree. It would be nice if they worked with normal video players.
That's just the browser cache, the structure of which will vary according to what particular browser you use. They don't all do it like Chrome. Also the folder you want under Users will be your user account's profile folder, which will be named after your user account.
I had to go under my user name. I went to google but it doesn't have Firefox. Just Chrome, which I don't use. So far, the videos I have seen show me how to see the downloaded videos on Premium but not on my PC. I used to be able to download YT videos onto my PC and place them where I want on my PC. Looks like that is no longer possible. Thank you for the video just the same.
Yea, I'm sorry. Unless you own the videos, You cannot download RU-vid videos by any official or approved methods by RU-vid. RU-vid only supports video downloads through YT Premium, and you don't get an MP4 or AVI. But they are in a format that is readable by the RU-vid app for Off-line viewing. The folder that I showed should be on Firefox. Are you sure you located the correct folder for Firefox cache?
@@BleepingWorld Thank you for your response. I found the program I had before and now am able to download the way I used to. I think it is a YT extension. I am glad that I did learn how to use YT itself to also download videos on YT. There are crafting videos that I want to be able to go back and reference when I am creating the same things.
Haha, I know what you mean. This is one video I had to make because no one is showing or telling people exactly where downloads are saved on our computers.
I am using RU-vid Premium membership and what I discovered is that, after downloading videos on youtube for watching offline (I can clearly see the downloaded videos under "Download" menu), they will disappear or get deleted the moment I sign out from RU-vid account (or close the chrome browser) making the downloaded videos unable to watch offline. Is that how it works or is there any settings I am missing. Kindly help. Thank you.
@@BleepingWorld I'm not using any extensions in Chrome browser and am using the most updated version of Chrome. As per my little research & analysis, I doubt this is happening due Indexeddb data persistent issue on Chrome browser. And If it's true, the mere RU-vid premium membership is a waste if it was subscribed for viewing downloaded videos offline. Explained that, I would really appreciate if you have any workaround for this issue ?
@@BleepingWorld Thanks for replying. As a check, I did not close the browser but just signed out of my youtube premium account. The moment I sign out keeping the browser intact without closing it, the contents (say including a downloaded video clip for an offline view about 5mb ) in the folder "https_www.youtube.com_0.indexeddb.blob" gets deleted automatically. So, it's happening the moment I sign-out of my youtube premium account and not at the time the browser is closed.
Hello BleepingWorld! Unfortunately your tutorial ends abruptly just as you were going to explain how to convert blob files into a file that a video player (eg VLC) can read. Can you write a few words about it? Thank you!
That was by design. I think I showed you as much as I could without the YT ban hammer coming down on me. If the video continued it would be hacking RU-vid property.
@@BleepingWorld _"would be hacking RU-vid property?"_ i ordered premium only for downloads - the ads are no problems, i pay to be able to download youtube videos. i want to download them at home and watch them on my mobile when I'm not at home. if this is not possible I no longer need premium
@@gernothartung It is possible, rewatch the video. The only thing you can't do is watch a youtube video using any other app. You can however use the youtube app when you're offline and watch the videos you've downloaded.
RU-vid must have made changes recently. I used to be able to download (a real download) to a computer (not to a location within youtube). You can no longer do that, even if you have a premium subscription.
You need to be on a RU-vid page. The option to install will not appear if you are at [randomwebsite.com] If you are on the RU-vid domain and there is still no option then check for "Uninstall RU-vid" - That option will show up if it is already installed.
@@BleepingWorld I have same problem! I don't see either "install or uninstall youtube on my Chrome browser while on RU-vid Domain! I have RU-vid premium and the videos shows as downloaded only in the account but I need to download it on my pc which is not happening and I am unable to see it in the path that you've shown :( Help please
hello bleeping guy. anyways... Lets say i downloaded music using YT "music" premium. where can I find it? and can I listen to it offline / is it in an mp3 format
@@BleepingWorld cheers and no I’m not a developer, I’m actually a media tech student, I’m studying camera systems and codecs at the moment. For one of my assignments I had to answer the question “what is the difference between intra and inter compression types” I was doing a demonstration between normal RU-vid streaming and the premium download option and how RU-vid uses compression when downloading a file locally. And how it will likely use inter frame compression.
@@Jimbob_Offical Ahh... But I think you would need to use a steaming platform that downloads files as a standard video format like MP4, MKV, AVI. So I dont think you will be able to use RU-vid for anything but the Streaming part of your project?
@@BleepingWorld no I didn’t but, I no longer need to know now. I was originally asking as part of exam question, where I was compering dowloaded RU-vid videos and streamed RU-vid videos.
@@debanajndas8750 The problem is that google chrome and all other major browsers have a default folder to save temp data. I am not sure that there is a way to manipulate this path. If you want I can try and research this for you?
The new folder might have a different code. I would back up the files and try loading them in cache. Buy still might not work cause the files might be coded with the machine id
Thanks for your effort in creating this amazing content. Please, i am using RU-vid Premium and what i discovered is that after downloading videos on youtube they will disappear after sometime. Please where can i find them?Thank you
I think they disappear every 30 days and there is a setting that you might be able to adjust. If you know they are disappearing than you know where the downloads are located?
This is absurd, Paying for RU-vid Premium at about $25 per month doesn't allow you to download files to your PC to use any which way you want like say storing on a PLEX Library folder but a Free RU-vid downloader does??? How does this make any sense? even for sound/music, RU-vid to MP3 Downloader converts it instantly into your Downloads Folder in MP3 format??? it truly makes zero sense
I don't think you are suppose to be using free downloader websites. I'm pretty sure they are against RU-vid TOS. How do you get movies for your PLEX library?
@@BleepingWorld It's software that has been around forever and a day, RU-vid Video to MP3 Converters, RU-vid Video Downloaders and any Websites, this type of software has truly been around I'm guessing even before RU-vid existed, but you don't even need any of this because everyone knows if you have a Graphics card (GPU) you can Screen Capture any Full Screen Video at 30, 60, 120 FPS your GPU software, file would be large then just Handbrake it down to a fraction of the size with little to no quality loss, when there's a will there's a way, this is just something literally everyone knows, but options are endless so it just strikes me as odd why RU-vid Premium would put that limitation
@@javiermigoya I think RU-vid does it as a deterrent. Not everyone knows how to do the things you just mentioned. Even if they do it takes a lot of time and its just a pain to do. I am pretty sure if they just gave you MP4 there would be a lot more copying going on that RU-vid doesn't want. It also makes it worse for us creators. People like to copy videos and reupload them. We have to file to get them taken down.
@@BleepingWorld Yeah, I see your point, funny enough I used to do Audio Dubbing in the 80s with a Sony Betamax, It had a Mic Plug that you could hit record while the video was playing and record over your voice, I have one of those videos posted on my channel, A tiny Channel never monetized never did anything with it along with a Video and Audio Dub with scenes and Audio From the Movie Scarface with David Guetta's song The World is Mine playing in the Background, this video I uploaded to RU-vid 14 years ago > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zro4orFp5po.html only has 81k views but surfing the web 7-8 years ago I came across my video the same Scarface on a Foreign Site with 2.5 Million views so I completely see your point LOL, again never did anything, tried top find it years later to see how popular it was just for the shear rush of knowing that many people liked it but I couldn't find it, couldn't remember the site either lol
Useless. Oh, not this video, it tells me exactly what I needed to know. Useless is the way that RU-vid stores the video. It's a *LOT* easier to just copy the video's URL into your clipboard, then save it into a Microsoft Word or Excel or any sort of text file. There are lots of programs you can buy that will actually store the video itself on your computer. That's where I'm going next.
Please tell me what those programs are, I have horrible lag and it drives me crazy. I need to download the vids so I can watch them off line without constant lag issues. Thanks
Lol, well thank you for not calling me useless. Yea I guess buying a program is cheaper, but it is defiantly against RU-vid TOS. I have seen many of these programs you speak of get shut down.
I was using Video Download Helper for years but recently it stopped working and I tried a bunch of others...no help. Yesterday, I turned off my VPN and voila...VDH works again. Admittedly a bit sloppy but better than trying to live stream.
To paraphrase the legal field, titling your video, "Where are RU-vid Downloads Saved on PC" follows the letter of the law but not its spirit. The only purpose (in the real world) in asking is to access downloads. The simple truth, which you confirm? Not possible. Which makes your video worse than useless. It's a complete waste of time. Which you seem smart enough to realize. Hence the hostility in the comments.
I think this video is popular because I finally tell people the truth. I know exactly what some people want to do and it is illegal. So no, I feel I am saving peoples time NOT wasting it. If you want to keep searching go ahead. But you will not find it because it's against RU-vid TOS and all those videos of what you really want get taken down. I'm sorry I broke your spirit, but leading you on would be a bigger waste of time for you. Don't shoot the messenger.
