These pudits are irrelevant. She lost because she was flawed uninteresting and blatantly being heavily elevated by the media/dnc because she had no talent.
Not to mention the campaign strategy of accusing anyone who didn't vote for her as a sexist. The reality is that Dianne Feinstein probably had a better chance, and that says a lot. Pick a better candidate next time.
She lost for the same reason all of the Republicans lost to Trump. She didn't learn the lesson from Bernie. People are struggling and she ignored them and though she would be anointed. Trump and Bernie ACTUALLY went out and TALKED TO THE PEOPLE AND LISTENED.
That and the donkey party were fighting for issues ordinary Americans couldn't relate to anymore. Gay marriage, transgender rights, those are great things to have when you have enough security to give a shit.
Steve Nelson, I have to admit you're 100% right about the Republicans. They (and 99.9% of Hollyweird) went into the primaries smugly thinking Trump wouldn't have the slimmest chance of getting it. When he beat every candidate they threw at him, the Tea Party had a hilarious meltdown and demanded a recount. There was a video but I can't remember the title. It's still somewhere on RU-vid.
Start with the candidate? Are you kidding me Hilary was the most qualified candidate in the last 50+ years! Joe Biden is a joke. If he runs in 2024 the trump republicans will run that dementia riddled man out of the White House I guarantee it 100%! If Hilary runs she could even the score with trump plus bring this country back to the way it should be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was just a Shameless opportunist, nothing more. She started with the Arkansas Mafia, got into bills pants in order ride him to the White House, Then cast him aside like a used condom as she continued her quest for power. She is a complete psychopath who will say and do anything for her own advancement, thinking she could do no wrong. It's sad that Americans are so gullible to be taken in her by her lies.
Why am i STILL watching these videos? I absolutely enjoy these videos, it's like sliding into the warm end of a pool!! I never get sick of hearing her failure detailed, wonderful stuff!!
Trump used Bernies campaign against Hillary. Bernie was for change, so Trump started saying that he was for change because he saw how much interest Bernie was getting with that message. Hillary wasn't for change, so people just weren't motivated to vote for her.
I also think she had too much political "baggage" with her. The name Clinton seemed to disgust some Democrats who wanted Bernie so they got their revenge by voting for Trump or Stein.
@Josh S: Trump was speaking to real concerns Americans had long before Bernie even got into the race. I do agree that both candidates represent "change".
The massive disparity in the rally crowds, the buzz on all the social media and the massive amount of red on the final map was a complete mystery to them in their polling...
they just don't get it they didn't see what was in plan sight, the didn't see the rallies the excitement that Trump and this movement created. I for one have not voted in 24 years and was so very excited to vote for Mr Trump
What went wrong? How about there was no debate around the country. If a Hillary supporter met a Trump supporter it wasn't why do you support him, it was, you are a racist and sexist person. Calling people names doesn't win a debate, it only makes that other person dig in against you. Second, I still can't tell you what Hillary's position was on most things, if anything at all other than she was Secretary of State and a former first lady. For better or worse I could see Trump's positions and his background.
"I still can't tell you what Hillary's position was on most things, if anything at all other than she was Secretary of State and a former first lady." And the "I'm with her" slogan does nothing to tell you about her substance - her entire campaign boiled down to "vote for me because I'm female."
Please they even thought she had it wrapped up Election Day !!! Look at all the videos of that day as polls weren’t even closed yet 🤣 there’s a video with Billy jumping up and down after she voted on Election Day 🤣
That Politico polling analyst was making excuses for how terrible pollsters were at their jobs this election season. Wisconsin was polled about a week ago. Okay, what's your excuse for Pennsylvania, Michigan, and North Carolina??
Where do I begin....I can give you a million reasons, but I'll just stay with the top 15. 1) She was a flawed candidate, 2) pathological liar, 3) corrupt, 4) insulted people, 5) Her health was bad: no one knew if she was going to die any minute. 6) Her coughing fits kept her from speaking while campaigning. 7) she highjacked the DNC, 8) she cheated Bernie Sanders, then paid him off to campaign for her 9) all the underhanded and illegal things she did to Trump and basically all the crimes she is guilty of for over 30 years, 10) she's a criminal, 11) her and Bill's pay for play scam foundation (read Clinton's Cash to learn more) 12) the fact she sold out our country to the highest bidder, 13) her unsecured email server that put our National Security at risk, 14) Benghazi, 15) FBI investigating her while running for president.... I'll stop here......you get the picture.
Kay Miller if you were from Arkansas you would KNOW that the main thing wrong with killary is she and her husband has had multiple people killed to protect themselves all the rest is second to that
I'm reminded very much of what happened here in the UK with the Labour party, they took their "base" (or what we call voters) for granted, did not act to help them, and they were punished for it. There has been a similar decline in the country in manufacturing and in Trade Union rights and membership. I don't think that Hillary lost it, the Democratic party lost it because they influenced the primary and did not select the best candidate. The solution is the same in both places listen to the electorate rather than telling them how they need to vote... its called democracy and it works best.
The Hillary campaign went wrong when they thought that Hillary, with all her corporate and wall street ties, was a good candidate for POTUS. The Hillary campaign assumed that voters were idiots. Not exactly a good gamble.
Where did it go wrong? It began.... Her whole campaign reminds me of a video (it's on RU-vid if you care to look) of Airbus I think it was, testing a all autopilot jumbo jet.... It (spoiler alert) gets about 50 feet off the ground, and in nose up attitude, proceeds to fly horizontally into a copse of trees and explode...which essentially was hildebeasts entire campaign in a nutshell.
Only Americans would not turn out to vote based on the notion that "oh, she'll win" without understanding that we have to vote in order to make that happen.
The day she passed out at the 911 memorial, and all of her coughing fits cost her many votes. People worried about her ability to remain in office. It is a grueling job, and I doubt seriously if she could have survived it. Being the Most Powerful Person on Earth carrots fair bit of weight. Weight she could never carry.
Some people say people voted for Trump because of prejudice, but if that were true, then Hillary would have been the democratic elect in 2008. The same people who voted for Obama in 2008, 2012 in OH, MI, WI, NC and PA, didn't vote the same way in 2016. Of course it was many factors, but I think Hillary lost the working vote when she said putting coal workers out of business.
We cant seem to get enough of Monday Morning Quarterbacks..These are the same people that predicted the outcome completely wrong now telling us why it happened..
That's what I don't like about them. They see me, a nonwhite, and think about how my race is beneficial to them. They don't think about WHY I should support them.
Well, I had planned on writing in Dr. Rand Paul; I had told everybody I knew that was what I was going to do... But while I was in the voting booth, I thought long and hard (took me a while to vote...) I wrote in Dr. Paul, then changed it to Trump, then wrote in again Dr. Rand Paul, the entire time I keep thinking about all the times I've been incorrectly labelled a "racist" or a "xenophobe" (by people who don't know the meaning of the word) or a "sexist", I thought about what legislation based on such rampant stupidity would do, and I decided that I wasn't going to vote for Trump, I was just going to vote against Hillary. My vote is reserved for principle and the Constitution. Trump represents neither of those. As a Veteran, I thought about what would have happened to me if I had of put *_ONE_* single *SECRET* email, (not even Top Secret) onto a non-secret electronics device (COMMSEC was a *BIIIIG* part of my job in the Air Force)... I'd have been court marshalled. I thought about my personal experience and knowledge concerning the training that Hillary *MUST* have received, *MANY, MANY, MANY TIMES*, I thought about how she was "too big to fail", how she can just lie about emails, lie about Benghazi, lie about Trump, lie about Dr. Rand Paul, and there it was.... I remembered when CNN colluded with Hillary to sink Dr. Rand Paul's campaign, and how she and CNN were caught in the act. *I thought about how nobody cared; and wrote in Dr. Paul again...* I thought about what the media did to Dr. Ron Paul, and compared that with what they did to Trump.. (Trump would have been nothing if the media hadn't given him soooo muuuuuuch attention...) And just as I was about to confidently cast that vote, I thought again about the *mass fraud* perpetrated by the Republican party against Dr. Ron Paul, and especially against his supporters. After thinking about all this, I was quite perplexed. What was the right thing to do?! *And so I did what I did.* What voting for Donald Trump was *not*: It was not a vote against the MSM. They made Trump. They got him elected. Any publicity is good publicity, and the media's actions are proof that they wanted a Trump presidency. Words are worthless in the face of their actions. It was not a vote *for* the Constitution. It was not a vote for the American People. It was not a vote for Putin......... *It was just a vote against Clinton.* and a sad one at that. America cannot have the Constitution back, because they do not want the Constitution back.
Three things... She had a pitiful ground game and played to Identity politics which backfired and lastly she was feckless on true policy issues and what she emphasized true grassroot Americans cared nothing about! 😎 IMHO
Salvanto is wrong. The polls really weren't that wrong, they were misread. There were virtually no polls that showed Hilary's support higher than 48%. That was in fact, her ceiling. Trump had a higher upside, even though he was polling around 45% in the weeks before the election.
I believe the question, “What particular voting block . .was missed?”, is at the heart of why almost any Democratic candidate would have lost the 2016 election and why identity politics is a losing strategy. The Democrats think of people as voting blocks, and still do. The President thinks of people as Americans.
No your wrong! I drive a truck in south jersey and the1 thing i noticed starting in may 2016 from Freehold to Franklinville the TRUMP yard signs were everywhere and the only Hillary ones were the ones that wanted her in jail. Even at a SLIPKNOT concert in camden in july 2016 the tailgating was anti left and during the show at somepoints the crowd was louder with chants of USA and VIVA TRUMP. Also another reason why Philadelphia and surrounding counties went for President TRUMP is the Hypocrisy. Bon Jovi played on that stage and got paid ( 75 thousand for 4 songs along with bruce and Jay Z )a lot of hard earned cash from supporters who worked hard to raise money for her. Factor in the Bernie trickery and how he was convinced to leave the race when he was winning before they common cored him. You want to blame a group of people with out being called a rasist shill its easy blame The Amish from Pennsylvania too Wisconsin and all point between. The Amish couldnt be called on the phone nor hacked on MySpace or swayed when they go to wawa by a Berkenstock Bolshevik.
Bryan Kay If we can clean out Hillary, Debbie and Donna, we might have the beginning of a democratic party. The other liberal parties are still struggling for recognition.
There are no undecided voters. Silent voters made Trump win unexpected. And the loud left voters are sooooo noisy and aggressive. It made their downfall so satisfying to watch
Umm, I really not understand... The polls said 75% of people were not happy with the direction of the nation... But Hillary kept saying "keep going the same way".
