@@pravyavnav using stick and its shadow was common way of calculating muhurtas in temples, that is truth but they cannot recreate that muhurta when ever they think of it. now you have models and simulation softwares to recreate. telling 30% truth and hiding 70% false information behind is old propaganda of so called historiens like thaper etc. In this 20th century scientific advancement was fast because we have data recoding and processing machines dont compare this pace to scientific advancement of 5000 year old people and say we were in stone age then.

calculating muhurta with a stick of defined length and its shadow movement was common way used in temples then. its not only stick and shadow but also planetary movement with zodiac background was also recorded in Ithasas. Today we have models and simulation softwares to recreate those muhurta but then it was impossible, unless it was live information. Dont compare 20th century scientific advancement to 8000 year old scientific advancement and say then we were in stone age. today we have data recording and data processing machines so technical pace is more. then it was trial and error learning So the pace is slow. civilizations existed even 15000 years back.

It's one thing to take a stick and measure the circumference of the Earth, and quite another to live back, say in 1500 BC, and try and reverse engineer the movements of planets, provide specific Nakshstras, etc, backwards to 3228 BC and say this was when Krishna was born, which astrological, computer software today, using the information in the texts for his birthday show, agreeing with the texts it was way back then. Attempt to reverse engineer this in even 1500 BC with sticks (moving them day by day backwards by inference) and you'd come up with planets, etc that would not agree with the planetary software results that align with the texts. Thus we know, for example, the Rig Veda was written long before 1500 BC, most likely 5000 BC. Thus, "Aryans", "Iranians", etc, did not write the Vedas, which was instead an indigenous compilation.

First, "Aryans" were proto-indo-iranian people from andronovo culture and Sintashta culture and then later North India and Iran. And no, they did not bring the avesta and vedas with them. Both of these texts are the result of culture diffusion. Vedas even have native gods in it like Rudra/Siva. India is not Europe, it never needed foreigners like Romans to civilize it.
