You can use other methods rather than blurring so much that will get through. Change the video aspect, type "copyright" over it, etc. No method is perfect but some allow viewers to at least see the performance to a good degree. For us old LZ fans, it's no problem but it would be good for younger viewers not familiar with them to be able to see them perform when you react to live so that they also get the benefit of seeing whose making all that beautiful noise. ;)
@@ScottWelke its because the label owns all rights to song+video. youtube picks and choose what gets blocked and what doesnt. The labels owns rights to the live video so if i am to upload it i have to file a dispute and blur until the label comes up with a decision. If i dont follow rules i will get a copyright strike. 3= termination of account.
@@MDreeezy That's interesting you had to do that to upload and post because all the other reactions to this song were not blocked, blurred or otherwise. Strange it happened to you.
I'm 62. My first concert was seeing Kiss at the end of 1976 on their Spirit of '76/Destroyer Tour. It was either at the Oakland Coliseum or the San Francisco Cow Palace, one of the two. I was just 14, and a friend of mine and his parents decided to give me a really cool birthday gift. Thereafter, I could usually sneak out to closer concerts. Sacramento had some good ones back in the day.
If you like the energy and talent of Zepplin... Go watch Metallica, Creeping Death, live in Moscow 1991 or Metallica, The Thing That Should Not Be, live in Seattle 1989. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
You've already reacted to Stairway To Heaven...and did a fine job. BUT, you owe it to yourself to watch "The Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin". Nancy Wilson of Heart covers Stairway To Heaven really well. During the video they show the actual Led Zeppelin band members being honored. You will never look at old gray-haired men the same way again. Do yourself a favor and check it out. BTW, the drummer when they do Stairway To Heaven at the Kennedy Center is the son of the original Led Zeppelin drummer who passed away a few years ago.
We had better drugs, too. The peaceful kind. No one got their asses kicked. Not often,, anyway. And no one carried guns. Dynomite bands and music. Groovy. 😂
Recognize it? This song appeared on the soundtrack to one of the "Shrek" films, and twice in "Thor: Ragnarok." It's about the Viking invasions of Britain in 10th Century, CE. You. Interrupted. A. *Guitar Solo* ! 🤨 You. Interrupted. A. *Jimmy Page* . Guitar Solo! 🤬 *Never* do that! Not Ever!
There’s a reason 50 yr old music is still being played on the radio daily today and still sells. When i was a teen in the 80’s we sure weren’t buying or tuning into music from the 30’s!
And what a generation! How I survived through the 70’s I’ll never know, we did have THE best music ever, Floyd Zeppelin Stones Deep Purple CSNY endless joy, no wonder I’m still listening to this stuff and not anything modern although Joe Bonamassa is pretty damn good
when the music is so loud that every bass note makes your chest thump, every drum/cymbal hit feels like a slap, and every word is blasted into your soul ..... ( and you can't hear properly for 2 days!) you know you were at a great concert! forget about genre! try everything once, then go with what you enjoy! big love to all people :)
Led Zeppelin had a mystique about themselves. Deliberately so. It made them larger than life. They gave few interviews, they were not on TV. They didn’t release singles in the US. It was buying their albums, hearing them on FM radio and seeing them in concert. So they cultivated an air of mystery around themselves. Which added to the legend. Odd you should mention satanic. Back then, as now, many conservative Christian’s thought if rock as “the devil’s music”…..and Zeppelin was one of the bands they focused on …. Because they had a dark vibe to some of their music like Dazed and Confused Also, Jimmy did go through a period of being fascinated with the occult. Just Jimmy, not the rest of the band. And it’s not still the case. Some called him the “dark prince”. Their manager, Peter Grant, actually encouraged this image. It made Zeppelin the band that you didn’t mess with. They got paid what they were due.
They released a few singles in the US (usually heavily edited against their wishes). It was their homeland of Britain where they never released a single. As you say, they never performed on British or American tv either. ✌️
@@helenespaulding7562 Yes I believe Zeppelin had more sway in the UK. Peter Grant actually stopped Atlantic records pressing Whole Lotta Love as a single in the UK. I think quite a few were pressed before Grant stopped it. Obviously they couldn't stop Atlantic in the US releasing the occasional edited down single. Im sure they argued that this must not happen often though and Stairway was never chopped down and released as a single there, thankfully.
@@lyndoncmp5751 I think you are wrong. Whole Lotta Love, made the British top 40 (21) Immigrant song was also released with the song Hey Hey, being specifically written to be the B side rather than is another song from Led Zep 3. Black Dog from Led Zep 4 was the last British single
@@glenchapman3899 No there were no singles released by Led Zeppelin in the UK. Peter Grant stopped Whole Lotta Love being released in the UK in 1970. He and the band were dead against releasing singles. Whole Lotta Love was released in 1997. Led Zeppelin hadn't existed for nearly 20 years so it wasn't during Zeppelins time and it wasn't released by Zeppelin. The 'video' we now see promoting Whole Lotta Love was from that 1997 release. That was nothing to do with the band. Immigrant Song and Black Dog were never released as singles in the UK. Trampled Underfoot had a promo release in 1975. These were limited in number and only sent out to radio stations. It wasn't a single.
Welcome to the Led Zeppelin "rabbit hole." They have an impressive catalog, which you have barely scratched the surface!! Like your reactions to the greatest band ever!! Check out their stuff from the 1973 MSG concert, the 1970 Albert Hall, and of course the 1979 Knebworth concert. And last but not least, when LZ reunited for one last great concert, the 2007 Celebration Day concert. One last goodbye to the greatest band that has ever existed. Enjoy the journey. :)
This show was at the Sydney Showground in 1972. There was a bit of drama at the time, some 4000 fans without tickets using bolt cutters broke into the show and got a free bee lol
I’m 74 and I really appreciated all the great bands and the music they put out. I still enjoy their music. I don’t enjoy the new music in this day and age
It’s not dying music, because you my friend are keeping it alive! I’m so excited for you to take this musical journey. Can’t wait til you get to the lives from Madison Square Garden. I think that was my gift from the universe because I got to go at 17! 🎸
I GREW UP WITH THIS MUSIC N ITS STILL ROCKIN THE WORLD. WHEN I SEE YOUNG FOLK LIKE URSELF FLIPPING ON THIS, THERES NO WAY THIS IS DIEING OUT. OVER FIFTY YEARS N STILL INSPIRING YOUNG PEOPLE, EPIC. A FEW OTHER BANDS FROM THAT EARA ARE, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, GRAND FUNK. THERE ARE NEWER BANDS TODAY AS SIMILAR, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE FOLLOWING THE THREAD. THE TOP PROGRESSIVE HEAVY ROCK BAND TODAY IS … TOOL… GREAT REACTIONS, ROCK ON 👊🖖
I don't know how old you are but you're very perceptiveabout today's music. I don't know how they can even call it music they aren't creating anything nor do they have to have any talent. Live music is amazing and these concerts from the 70s and early 80s were terrific. Is joy watching you
Stadium Rock shows in the 70's...pppffff...damn it man. Still coming down today. Take the dive into Led Zeppelin...the water is fine brother... Cheers 🍄🌲🍄✨💥🌈😍
Everything you said YES I agree. This jam session is top notch! It is so invigorating and alive. Watch the Madison Square Garden movie called "The Song Remains the Same". 1973. And the tracks I recommend are Dazed and Confused and Whole Lotta Love. It is long but so worth it. I guess we had longer attention spans back in the 70's. Peace to you.
Ha yep definitely longer attention spans it is such a pity to me anyway how tech is destroying many things tho course there are the gigantic UP sides to tech as well ~Shrugs~
MD, man, yes we appreciate the music we grew up with, a fantastic soundtrack of our teen years. I have watched quite a few of your reactions and have seen you are a very astute and intelligent man for your years. I've subscribed and look forward to more from you.
Stairway To Heaven and Since I’ve Been Loving You, both live from the 1973 Madison Square Garden concert, are performances that will blow you away, and the show is filmed much better than this video.
You talking about rock concerts has me thinking that you should listen to The Pretender by the Foo Fighters. 🔥 and then you need to go to one of their concerts. Nonstop energy from the band and the crowd for 2 hours! So awesome. Saw them this summer and 11 years ago, and they were fabulous both times!
Headphones or earphones don't work. Speakers, at full blast so you can feel your clothes moving and your body vibrating. Depends on your neighbours tho, turn it down a little bit. haha
I loved Led Zepplin back in the day another good song is Stairway To Heaven. Another band to check out is Lynyrd Skynard- Sweet Home Alabama, Free Bird.
Try some music by YES one of the greatest progressive rock groups of all time. You haven't reacted to them at all. Some good ones include "Roundabout", "Close to the Edge", "The Gates of Delirium". "Awaken", "Turn of the Century"... Loads of good ones.
My fav band is Pink Floyd been a fan since 1972 . My fav song of all time is Stairway to heaven by Led Zeppelin LIVE at Madison Square Gardens New York 1973
Check out Hearts cover of stairway to heaven at the Lincoln Centre, AWESOME, even better than the studio version (heresay to Led Zeppelin fans), but TRUE, in my opinion anyway.
3 rock concert video clips you should watch. It will give you a good idea of what it's like to attend a rock concert like we did. *Kiss - Detroit Rock City 2006 Live Video* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fTqLf1A-Q-4.html *Peter Frampton - Do You Feel Like We Do - 7/2/1977 - Oakland Coliseum Stadium* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DsJK9sYRUWc.html *Live Aid (Queen) Full Set [1985, London, Wembley Stadium]* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PLIAp5nr0q0.html (the comics at the beginning are funny)
Check out Led Zeppelin rock ‘n’ roll live Madison Square Gardens. Or even the 1978 live performance, can exactly remember where, either video will suffice. You also need to check out the who, Won’t Get Fooled Again and Barbara O’Reilly. live . Who are you promo video

Love your reactions! I'd like to recommend the song that got me into rock music Smoke On The Water (live 1972) by Deep Purple. I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it 🎸
My fav band is Pink Floyd been a fan since 1972 , my fav song of all time is Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin 1973 live at Madison Square gardens New york a must see m8
If you think that's a crowd, you should check out Enter Sand man by Metallica live in Moscow. Over 1.6 million people at the end of the cold war. Truly epic Monsters of Rock concert festival
Young bloods, if you dig Zeppelin check out the 2007 Celebration Day reunion concert with Jason Bonham on drums (his dad John Bonham the original LZ drummer died in 1980). Jimmy Page, Robert Plant & John Paul Jones were in their 60's when they did this show and could still rock proving they were the greatest. The Mighty Led Zep is the number 1 hard rock band of all time
I would suggest you watch "The song remains the same" movie/documentary filmed at MSG with lot's of behind the scenes footage/ You get to see John Bonham (GOAT Drummer) in his dragster and the legendary Peter Grant - best manager ever! You might want to wait until you listen to more studio songs. Some other huge fanbase bands that are completely different and ALL GREAT - Beastie Boys / Tool / Bee Gees / RUSH
This has nothing to do with this reaction -- enjoy alll of yours, btw -- but from a former trumpet player to a sax player, you should check out "Pick Up the Pieces" by the Average White Band. Thought of you when I heard this again recently. :)
Led Zeppelin is an easy band to get lost in. They've done covers of Blues standards, Robert Johnson's "Traveling Riverside Blues", for example. Other songs, "Kashmir", for example, is very theatrical in the sense that you wouldn't be surprised if it was a song from a James Bond 007 movie. Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die" is the same kind of song, in my mind, and it actually WAS used in a James Bond movie. I think that most people, when they're first introduced to Led Zeppelin, understand that they have a few good songs. Until they dig deeper. Then they come to understand that not only did Led Zeppelin never put out a bad album, but I'm here to tell you that I've been listening to them for over half of a century, and I haven't heard a bad song, yet. Bands like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and Black Sabbath, had an immeasurable impact on today's music. They've impacted all popular musical genres in a way that cannot be overstated. Exploring these bands and others like them can give you an extraordinary education about the evolution of the musical form. And if you love music, I guarantee that you'll enjoy the journey. And I envy you the trip. I'd absolutely love to hear songs like Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" for the first time, again. Or Rush's 2112 with a good pair of headphones. Yes, I definitely envy you the journey, and I think that you're gonna have a blast! 😁
Let me turn you on to another great guitarist! Joe Bonamassa. Start with the song Blues Deluxe from Royal Albert hall. And maybe follow that up with Breaking up Somebody's Home😅Live at the Greek theater. But one of his best is The Ballad Of John Henry at the Royal Albert Hall.
I feel bad for you. You never got to see the Zep play in concert. I saw them play at the Los Angeles Forum in '77. Damn. What a show! But I'm glad you're getting a chance to see 3+ decades of great music. Have fun on your journey!
