Hi, just wanted to say thanks for what you are doing. All the information you had given in your videos was of great help to me (this was one of the questions). Just did an interview today and I was successful. "Do your best and let God do the rest" was what kept me. Thanks again and blessings continually upon your life.

Just like hiring people is a separate profession, selling yourself is a separate profession. Not all amazing specialists in their narrow field know how to sell themselves. Until employers understand this, they will hire "beautifully speaking pictures" and not look at the results of real work. Positive, integrated vision, quick reaction, good diction - the employer thinks he is looking for a balanced person who controls his life. But in fact, the best employee can be a person who is now with a cold and does not understand the lines of the interview at all and just came. Employers should stop focusing on soft skills and start thinking about hard skills. Only they truly rule the profession and business. Soft skill is to hire a person who you like, who will like colleagues, who will speak beautifully and clearly express his thoughts. Hard skill - a person who can do the job 10 times better than a "beautiful speaker", but will probably flunk 99 out of 100 interviews. Employers just don't want to REALLY LOOK FOR PEARLS, but want ready-made answers that "will suit them and the company." I have seen many companies where all the people were friendly, extroverted active, beautifully intelligent, and at the same time were friends and had great plans for life in the company and outside of it. But they were blanks inside professional skills, resumes about nothing, results from the ceiling, and no one ever checked anything. None of them really worked. And there are companies where they recruit candidates very individually - they don’t give a damn about soft skills, they don’t give a damn that you don’t like video calls or don’t work in the morning, you are constantly in a bad mood about the launch of a new product and don’t like to talk about company affairs. There people really worked and achieved incredible results. You need to choose professionals, not friends. Geniuses, not "convenient options". We need to choose the best, not those with whom the interview went smoothly or who looks motivated. Its very easy to act like you are motivated and do nothing later. A truly motivated person to work in a company may look generally scared and reserved, because this position is insanely important to him. And the empty girl will vividly talk about plans for an amazing corporate culture, but she goes to the company just to avoid going to work across the city.

Since employees change jobs within 3 years, why ask the candidate what are their plans to be with your organization 5 years out?
