Hey Tom, I watched this on TV this morning. Had stuff to do. It was fantastic!! Thank you for letting us see the counter, or mantel install. Love to see it when room is finished. Now, especially thank you for taking us w your family on vacation. Man, that looked so nice. If I was a young man......shoot, I do good to make it up and down my front door steps! But I do look good going up and down them w my Concrete With The Hauses t-shirt on. You sure deserved a good vacation. Now before Spring hits, you need to saw some lumber, make some furniture, install steel ceiling, get those grandkids to pitch-in. What will the groundhog see? Idk, but off season don't last long. I visited Telluride back in 2007 a couple weeks before ski season. My nephew was working at the resort getting ready for the skiers. I was in Montrose, CO on business and visited him while out there. I just cruised the town. Very nice! Old mining town. Great drive from Montrose to Telluride. Mule deer and Elk all over the place. Beautiful scenery to be sure. I did go up one of those gondolas about 11-12,000 feet up. Couldn't breathe (I was a smoker back then). Told the nephew to get me down from there NOW! hahaha.

I thought our mountains were beautiful. Wow. Seven Springs and Hidden Valley got nothing on Colorado's slopes. The hearth looked great. I'm glad you got to have some deserved time off. Thanks for sharing, Tom.

Tom, look at you snowboarding! I would never guess. I would lost money if you were a skier or a snowboarder. fireplace was gorgeous!

Extremely Nice, the texture, the color, the sheen... Love it. This is what i was talking about for winter projects.. HEY Tom, do you think you could do a concrete bath tub?, Jacuzzi, Sink, lavatory, Elite Shower ? Fish Aquarium? Outdoor fish aquarium, Memorials, etc ? .. yep i think you could, Concrete with the Hauses to another level.. The sky is the limit Great job. PS I guarantee that was not your first skying experience, but i would like to have done that when i was 40 or earlier, but today, 71 yrs old, i would end up in the trees with Sony Bono.. yikes. it was beautiful, we went to Colorado when i was 7 yrs old and Pikes peak around 14,000 ft if i remember, July - snow everywhere but it was not cold. But i was 7 lol, beautiful pictures, wonderful looking family Tom thanks for brining us along.. Sry ong winded LOL

Hey tom, fire place looked great, and you did pretty good on the snow board for an old man ,just kidding, when I was growing up we had snurf boards, 1/2'' plywood x 6'' wide with just metal cleats and no boot straps and just a string to hold on to it was the best. Hope you and the family had a great time, well deserved.

I've always wanted to go to Telluride. I've been to probably 75% of Colorado ski parks, but haven't made it there. And I always used two skis until my niece talked me into snowboarding. Fell, tore up my knee and never could play banjo again.😅

Nice fireplace but I still think you would get a much better finish if you sprayed your mold before pouring. Good job on those slopes!

You need to travel 3 hours north from where you live to Holiday Valley in Ellicottville NY to ski. Its called the ski meca of the east.

We use to live in Grand Jct and skied Sunlite and Aspen but not teluride but this was in the 80's.

Have you ever poured with CEMEX? People either love or hate their cement. I worked for them years ago.

Why wouldn't they have put the actual fire place more in the center so it would have better visibility to everyone in the room? Who would have designed it being that close to the wall?

Where are the concrete tools? I thought you always had them with you.
