Glad to see you're ok and Happy New Years. Love the beautiful Russian architectures in St. Petersburg. Stay warm, stay happy, looking forward to more of Russia through your eyes as I'm learning more of your country following you. 🙂
Im glad you went outside and braved the cold Svetlana, and shared the beauty of your city......I know it's the dead of winter, but have faith and happiness that spring is coming....take care!
You make amazing videos! Glad I have found your channel!! St. Petersburg look soooo beautiful! We all feel depressed in the winter, don't worry, you will feel better in spring. Just take time and take care of yourself! 😊
Thank you for a lovely video. Your city looks very impressive. Sorry to hear you've been feeling a bit down lately. Please know that you are appreciated, and your videos are very much enjoyed by many. It is also wonderful to see you and other Russians reaching out on RU-vid to show how lovely you all are, especially at this time. You're doing great work. Chin up !
I always get a big smile when I see your notifications. Watching this video was certainly not a waste of time and I had been wondering if everything was good with you. I just love seeing the sights of St. Petersburg. Wishing you all the best from Tennessee, USA. Thank you for posting.
I didn't know USA 🇺🇸 likes Russia 🇷🇺. Aren't they friend? 싸워야 키 큰다 meaning u have to fight to grow. I know you don't like this message. So, you can erase it if you want. I don't nind
Happy 2022! I don't feel so bad now about our 2'C in Georgia today (quite cold for us) 😉. As always St. Petersburg looks amazing. Также привет, Соня.. из Америки 🙋♂️.
too the top away we go, beautiful views to and fro. winters wrath took it's toll, down we go to the city below... mixed emotions i struggle to make, but my youtube friends make the day great. we don't know what brings this sadness to your face, turn that frown upside down and go to your happy place!
I was just skyping with a russian friend who lives in saint petersburgh; she said it was freezing and icy, and asked me to take her someone tropical :) I told her i'd love to go to mexico, but i have busy work weeks. TY, Svetlana, for braving the cold and showing us your magical city!
Lovely to hear from you Svetlana. I use SAD lamps in winter, and I think they help. At the moment, I am being flooded with the light from two. Might be helpful for you in the dark months. Best Wishes from Colin in Edinburgh 😀
Svetlana, my husband and I love your videos. It is fascinating to see the beauty of Russia. Your narration is excellent, and we love seeing your family, too! So sorry that you haven't felt very well in January, and hope you feel better very soon. Best wishes to you!!
7:45 Sveta, I lived in Petersburg a long time ago. Even though that city's magical and fascinating to me, you have to recognize it is weird. There's something really crazy to it. Unnatural. So what you're feeling there in the middle of the winter is absolutely normal, the city's extremely depressing in winter times. Keep up
Your mental state of mind and mental health is the most important thing. Please take care of yourself first and we can wait for the videos. The main thing is your well being!
Wow! It looks so cold it's snowy I'm so happy to see a beautiful girl like you keep sharing more new videos of many beautiful places in Russia with me and with the others also, I have followed your RU-vid Channel I fall in love with you, keep making more new videos Love greeting from my heart for you, keep going on, I love you ❤❤
Thanks for suffering the cold to get us such a lovely view from the Cathedral. You look so lovely all bundled up and cozy. I do hope you feel better soon. You are an amazing spokesperson for everyday Russians and such a lovely charming person.
So very glad you felt better this day to film. I made sure to check that my Notifications were on, I don’t want to miss your videos. Take care. I know Winter affects a friend of mine, where she doesn’t feel herself. Big virtual hug 🤗 to you.
Thank you for sharing all your videos. I am really enjoying your content, I’m sorry you are feeling low. These moods are temporary and better times are coming!
THERE YOU ARE! missed you and is that pink/red hair under Sonya's hat? Stay warm you two. Svetlana, so glad you're back to posting your outstanding videos. Thank you from America.
BTW, Svetlana, were you feeling the blahs while in Mexico, if not it could be suffering from the amount of sunlight, or lack thereof, you are getting in Russia. Scientific studies have proven that the winter blues is a real condition because there is less sunlight which causes serotonin levels to drop in your brain. Sunlight through your eyes triggers serotonin products. When it is low you feel like shit. My mom suffered from it. Doctor ordered reading in front of "full spectrum lamp" for 20 minutes a day. It made a world of difference in her outlook and attitude. It has to be a full spectrum lamp. We ordered her lamp from Amazon. Won't hurt to try one and see if your 'feeling like shit' goes away. Good luck.
Cheer up Svetlana! You have a lot of good things going for you, but if you still feel down, take inventory of the things you are grateful for in your life. Sometimes a simple exercise like that can change your entire perspective!
I studied in Bonch Bruevich just 250m from Ichakievsky cathedral and sometimes went Astoria hotel for lunch or breakfast. I took the bath down Peter-Pavel fortress during winter the same place you have shown. LIVED Basilevky Ostrov on Sredny Prospect. Nice video.
Many of us all around the world are feeling low and worse right now, we have to believe that better times are coming. Your videos help many in that process, Svetlana ❤
Hi Svetlana. I'm really impressed with your city on icy winter days because it seems magical and romantic, but you ... you totally charmed me to the point that I fell in love with Russia even more. I have never been to St. Petersburg and I have been planning it for a long time and I know only one thing that when I come I will surely look around in the hope that I will see you and give you a small souvenir from Serbia. You are a very beautiful and proud Russian, a true pearl of your nation and I respect you as well as your country. Put a smile back on your beautiful face. Spring is coming soon. Greetings from Serbia.
Very nice video. Thank you beautiful lady. It's not a waste of time when the people we like talk to us, even when they only say trivial things. Have a beautiful day. God bless you. Much love from Paris, France.
It's always good to see you doing videos it's tough feeling down give yourself time if that's what you need look after yourself we will always be here take care St Petersburg is beautiful city winters can be rough
Seasonal Affective Disorder is very common in Northern latitudes due to the short days and often gray, overcast weather. It often lags the shortest day, flaring in January/February. Short of medication, using SAD lights (as already mentioned), which are high intensity, full spectrum white lights 15-30 minutes in the morning and whenever you can during the day can be very helpful. Most are now LEDs. Other things include dawn lights which wake you up mimicking a rising sun, not getting up til sunrise (if you have that luxury) and maybe vitamin D supplementation. Once you get one, it is best to start using as the darkness comes, before you feel down and continuing daily til the sun comes back. I have been to St Petersburg, a lovely and historically inspiring city. Hope you feel better.
Great views from the Cathedral Svetlana, lovely sunset. It’s good for us in UK to learn about Russian life and culture. Take care, all the best from Cambridge 🇬🇧
Hello Svetlana, Ive recently began watching your videos and subscribbing to your channel. Youre such a beautiful woman, absolutely gorgeous, but not only in appearance, but in your heart as well. Don’t worry Svetlana everyone feels like crap in winter. Especially me cause I live in southwest Texas. When it gets below 50 F I get my winter coat out. When you said you were still with your fiancé, you broke alot of hearts. Anyway good luck with the new apartment.
Thank you Svetlana for showing us your beautiful city in the icy cold Russian winter. I live in Canada. I think our two countries are the coldest in the world so I know how you feel 😅. Tomorrow Jan 22 it will be -28C here!
To Svetlana and Riccardo I cannot even image the freezing temperatures you endure and what it must be like to make it through the night (the winter night, that is) It's 00h40 right now and still 35 degrees Celsius, having been at almost 40 degrees Celsius during the day. Simple opposite extremes. God Bless !!! Chin up it can only get better. !
I can't even imagine what -0 feels like, i live in one of the hottest places in Mexico, the lowest temperature this winter has been 13 celcius, its usually 26 celcius during the day, last year we had over 310 days over 30+ , i wanna visit Canada one day, i'm definitely not going on winter tho
Big !!! Hope that makes you feel better : ) Sometimes the seasons can get you down, but don't let it get to you. I feel like that during the summer (I'm a winter person). Best way to beat it is keep busy and interested in things. That way, it makes you feel better even if you don't feel well.
Yo're right we do worry a little when you go silent. But I remember before you left that you said you were going to Mexico. Please don't push yourself too hard in 2022, just do what feels fun.
Thank you for Svetlana, showing us the winter version of St. Petersburg....its like a winter wonderland. so amazing...i had a chance to visit your beautiful city in summer of 2013. I love walking out there.
January doldrums are a real pain indeed. Sorry you are dealing with them. A lot of us feel the same way. I know I do myself. Thanks for showing the winter beauty there as I will never get from S. Indiana to there. Peace to you and yours.
It must be tough being in cold weather and I'm so happy that you're able to get out and have nice warm vacations! ... You have inspired me to smile and get up and go even when I'm stressed out, which is not too often... I was in a slump last week. ... You shook me out of my bad feelings and looking forward to a beautiful day everyday again! 😎👍🏼
I’ve only found your video channel a couple weeks ago so I hadn’t realized the pause. Thanks for sharing your life experience with us. Winter in my neck of the woods has been particularly cold this year so I’m commiserating with you. Take care and stay warm.
Good you’re getting some fresh air and to be kind to your mind and yourself during a St P winter ❄️! Just remember it’s all temporary ! I’ve been up the St Isaac's Observation deck during summer at the World Cup and it was beautiful, definitely go back!! Your videos makes me miss Russia so much, sending you a warm embrace from sunny Australia 🇦🇺☀️☀️☀️
Hang in there…January is bad for me as well as I can’t stand the cold, but where I live the days are getting longer and spring will be here in a few months, hopefully for you as well.
