Brooke, One of the best! It's awesome seeing You interacting with your family. Your kids are going to remember those days for a long, long time. Well done!!
What a wonderful family outing! Nice hearing the spring peepers at your campfire ... and your sheathwork is excellent. Always a pleasure seeing Michigan's beauty in your videos. Thanks for sharing ... God Bless (Praying you'll feel better soon!)
Hello Brooke, thank you for sharing your Family video. You did an amazing job of making a sheath for your Mother's Day knife. Congratulations on being certified. So now, if I drop my grilled steak out in the woods, I can send you a 911 text and have the assurance that everything will be ok. The very best to you and your family. 🤗
You are -- without a doubt, reminding me of the Glee I once felt back in my days in Boy Scouts of Camping, Surviving and Co-Habituating in the Great Outdoors tempered with a Healthy Respect for Mother Nature ... because she's the Boss and will always win the argument if you don't respect her more. BRAVO, GIRL IN THE WOODS, BRAVISIMO-! You are making a difference. D.A.
Hi Brooke, nice to see you back on YT! Hope you recovered well from your bronchitis. The leather sheath looks so amazing, good work! And I liked the tiny little wooden sailboat, too! 🤗🌲🐞
Hi, Brooke! Just got my "Get outside and get happy" tee shirt today! I love it! That was a great idea to promote your channel. Hope you're feeling better & that we'll see you out on another of your adventures soon!
...a trick was taught to me by a professional who owned a fish shop on Lake Superior...if you freeze, then thaw your fish before you smoke it, the brine penetrates better during the pre-smoke soak....
Love this video... family doing things together 🤗🤗wow, your son has a very deep voice, God bless him.😊 beautiful daughter... Happy Father's Day to Bushradical..
It is DOOOOOO WONDERFUL you are doing classes for kids on survival!!!! I taught 4th graders for a lot of years - they are at a great age to do this! YOU are a GREAT TEACHER!
The Girl In The Woods can help you with that cold. You know She's a certified wilderness first responder she will totally fix you up lol. Great video Brooke. Enjoy them all. You guys are great. Keep the videos coming or i have nothing to watch late night in my hammock. Take care and as always be kind be humble and be safe.

Hey Brooke, Thanks for sharing your video. Had a good time watching it! Made me laugh. I really like the knife sheath segment of the show. By the way very cool knife that you got for mother's day! I definitely like knives myself. Thanks for sharing your video with us viewers! Your people... Callie from California. "SHE GONE!"
If you have 2 needles the stitching goes from either side thru the same hole and then you are done at the end. I leaned that. What a nice way to spend the day!! I love you guys!!
Awesome update video Brooke. Congrats on passing the course. Congrats on the sheath making too... was great to see all of your family together... doing the family things. Been wondering about you and Dave both lately... the spring hasn't been great for any of us in Michigan... glad to see that you guys a bit further north have made out okay. Till later...
Hi Brooke....great job on your sheath!! You are awesome with everything you do. I am very proud of you, you work hard and give everything you have to finish everything you do. That is why you have such an amazing channel. I just can’t miss watching your videos, please keep them coming. An awesome lady! ☕️👀🌲🔥🙂❤️
I have been watching out-lander on netflix and the Scots make a knife like that for the ladies to put in their stockings. A short knife can be used easily with less strength when you think about it
Great video Brooke!! Loved seeing family camping..loved seeing you work with the 4 th graders!! You could tell they loved every minute...hands on best way to learn! Hope your feeling better and thanks for another video...always look forward to see what you are up too!!! Oh.....and those knives and sheathes...just wonderful!!!!!!😊
I love your enthusiasm of life, nature, and soul, u do amazing things for children, and you are one nice tough survivor, always enjoy your videos, take care Brooke
Leather crafting is very useful. Sports equipment such as sheaths, cases and quivers are able to be made with a bit of creativity and work. The expense now is the tanned leather. You also can make purses, wallets, belts, visors, moccasins, and suede or light leather clothing.
Loved the segment with the kids. And the knife making too. I've got a bunch of blades off a no till drill I overhauled that would make awesome knives. You inspired me...as soon as I get done baling hay.
I am a new subscriber, been living on The Big Island for most of my adult life. I was really into the mountains of Colorado until a friend of mine offered me tickets to Hilo Hi. back in 71. My wife, 2 girls went back to Co. in 76 and we ended up living in the mountains again. I have longed to return to Co. for so long. I have had a few visits and spent a few days here & there in mountainous areas, but It didn't fill that desire. I live in a rain forest 37 miles miles south of Kailua Kona. It has been raining here for over 2 years and only have a dry day every now & then. When we moved out here it was during a drought and it is supposed be fairly dry here compared to wet areas of the Big Island. Watching your videos helps and gives me ideas. You Guys Are Awesome. I also realized that I had seen you on Alone, which is my fav. tv show along w/ Gunsmoke hehe. When I was young, I wanted to live in the wilderness. The closest I've gotten this is living on this 1 acre lot of rain forest. I do enjoy growing lots of plants, mostly fruit trees, papayas, bananas, bamboo and some vegies. If I didn't have that outlet, I would be less inspired to continue on here. My wife does not like the idea of living in winter again, but I think it would fine as long as we had a woodstove which I would rather have than a tv. Much Aloha to you Both
Although I am sure there are trolls who just hit thumbs down because they can (and haters gonna hate), I suspect most of the time it's accidental. I have done it myself more than once trying to hit "like" or some other button while watching on a treadmill. If you aren't looking right at it when it happens you don't even know you did it. It's right next to the share button as well.
Great video! Hey think I'm doing great with grandkids. The youngest one started a fire all by himself yesterday. The oldest did the cooking. I'm so proud of them.Had them out camping a couple times. And when I was learning leather craft way back when. My grandfather would tell me to just cut away anything that doesn't look like what your making. He was a lot of help. Loved giving me grief. But he was always watching over my shoulder. An if I was about to mess up. He'd say you better rethink that an walk away. I'd have to go ask for his help. It was his way of teaching me. Sure do miss those times. Anyway enough of this. God bless an keep up the great work
I have missed you. It was great to see the entire family chilling! I love working with leather. Don’t do much anymore, but when it went “right” it was so relaxing! Love you new knife. God bless y’all.
Awesome variety of events. Love spring smoked suckers and carp. Hey Brooke, I just received my get outside and get Happy Tank. I love it. I took my dog out in the woods for a get happy walk here in Minnesota and well... she found a porcupine. That was the end of getting Happy. No quills in the mouth though only cheek and leg, so all is well. Take care of yourself. Praying for a speedy recovery.
Brooke, Congrats on your certification. Job well done. Those sheaths are beautiful. Now just busy and make a full top and pants to go with your moccisins. LOL!!! So when are you guys headed back to Alaska? God bless the Wipples. Stay safe in the woods.
Dearest Girl In the Woods: great vlog. Myself and the munchkins are glad to see you are back. We were worried you got pulled into a certain survivalist show filming in Namibia. We missed you. This vlog episode was great material, just like the others. We love your family and how you include them in the vlogs.
Use some cherry wood Cherrywood will put a heck of a smoke on it and close the holes on your grill a little bit if it gets too hot yum yum I'm so jealous
Yum! I love smoked fish...we used to smoke mullet down in Florida when I was younger! Nice leather work! Cool knife! Love the great outdoors! 🌳🌿🌰🍃🐾🏕🦉🦅🛶
I'm a year late, but just discovered your channel a couple weeks ago. Binge watching and enjoying your channel. Never had sucker fish, but tonight I'm having squirrel in the crock pot with roasted carrots and mash potatoes. 👍 I like how you share with your fur babies!🐕🐈
