Paige, so happy you are back! I was starting to think you had quit RU-vid. I would like to see new: DIML vids, update on Oliver, update on your mom and sister, typical workday as a free lancer, rental house tours, what you look for when hiring your contractors, how your overcame your financial fears when monthly income is negative.
Happy to be back!!!😄 I talked about some of this in my most recent video! Thank you for all the ideas!! I’ll definitely incorporate it all in to future content!💜
Thanks for the reply! I did notice that you talked about a lot of these ideas in your last video, but I was not sure if you read my comment😁. I really liked your last video and so glad you are feeling better
@@darray7472I had read your comment and could’ve sworn I replied but was going through my comments yesterday and saw I didn’t🤦🏼♀️ oops lol but it was your comment that inspired most of what I discussed in that video!!💜
It's funny you find owning a apartment/home as more stressful. For my case I'm completely the opposite, I've purchased one recently as I just do not feel 100% at ease living in someone else's home (even with amazing landlord) and owning feels just much much much less stressful for me haha.
I definitely agree with that concept.. that sounds much less stressful😅 I think we just financially don’t have the savings built up to handle big issues that could arise so the risk adds more stress than the stress of living in someone else’s house😂 but congrats on purchasing your new home!!!! That’s super exciting!
Hey! I’m glad you’re doing well! I don’t want to buy a house either. I’ve know since 2021. I like moving! I’m the person who randomly moves out of state. So, I need to have that option every 12 months! 😂
I was doing really well as a freelancer, but the past year has been brutal. AI, people hiring people overseas who can work cheap, overall low expectations of quality so they just go for the cheapest/youngest, inflation and rising costs, but not being able to raise rates because of all the above. I think I have too much experience now, so people don't even want to reply to me, because they just want cheap. So I'd love a video about how the freelance market has changed recently, what to do when you have too much experience, how to deal with offshoring of professional jobs and AI. I have been erasing a lot of work from CV, and I am getting more replies, but the rates they are offering are not possible. Also, how to write a cold pitch letter to prospective clients.
Ooo all really good topics. I’ll definitely make a video on these soon because I’ve seen a lot of the same! A few follow up questions for you: - what services do you provide? - how long have you been freelancing? - where are you looking for clients? - what rates are you looking for? (If you don’t mind sharing of course) I have a freelance for beginners video coming out next week and would love to do a video on these topics next for experienced freelancers and how I’ve been navigating the issues you mentioned.
