As an American Black man, watching these shows makes me realize how much we're missing out on, being disconnected from my native land, culture, language and ancestry.
Forget the European man...these women are extraordinarily beautiful and intellectuals. The only thing I don't like is that their father has two wives. Now that is nonsense and nasty. God created one man for one woman.
I'm watching from nigeria in West Africa, and I'm fascinated how South Africans and other parts of africa is way way different from us, from language to culture. Africa is really diverse and beautiful. I'm Proud to be an African.
From what Tony said about matrimony in Ndebele culture, apart from language I can't see anything so different between Ndebele and Nigerian culture as relates to Matrimony. First in the Ntuli family their father has two wives which is polygamy. We have that in Nigeria. Secondly marriage is between families not just both spouses. We have that in Nigeria. Thirdly Lobola (bride price, or bride wealth) we have that in Nigeria, only called by a different. I can only see similarities in culture. Not sure I can see any differences.
The way you admire our culture, we admire African American culture. It's amazing how you guys created your very own culture from scratch and it's now admired globally!
@@Sarah_J1986 Black Americans eventhough our roots are from Africa, but l now refer to my African friends born in the US as African Americans eventhough we kinda are the same.....
I strongly encourage every African-American to go and visit Africa at least once in their life time. You owe to yourself and your ancestors. Love from Somalia 🇸🇴
@@vuvufuzzy2594 What do you mean it is the pure one? Zimbabwean Ndebele people aren't descendents of King Ndebele, they are descendents of Mzilikazi who was a Khumalo, the Khumalo tribe was running away from Shaka and hid under the Ndebele tribe, that is how they adopted the name... Only the South African Ndebele people are the "pure" ones because they are the actual blood descendents of King Ndebele...
Seriously, but there is no African country without a rich culture. The world just does not know about Africa as a continent and knows even less about our people
Black South Africans were not taken as slaves to the Americas,Hence they do not possess the features of African Americans,Black Caribbeans,Black South Americans...who were taken from manly West Africa & slightly Central Africa & Southern Africa(Angola).Nigerians are blood brothers of black Americans & other blacks at the diaspora...Africa is the second largest continent in the world people,it is bigger than the whole North America(USA combined with Canada & the Caribbean islands)...When you refer to a black South African as ur People,is like a Chinese referring to a Korean or Japanese as his people.Totaly Different features.THE MAIN BROTHERS OF AFRICAN AMERICANS IS WEST AFRICANS.SOUTH AFRICAN FEATURES ARE NOT COMMON IN AFRICAN AMERICANS,THAT'S WHY SOME OF U FIND THESE WOMEN BEAUTIFUL,BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT GENETICALLY RELATED TO YOU.
@@JasonSmith-yn4ke and what nonsense are you spewing? So when you are genetically related to people you won't find them attractive? And besides, where do you think black South Africans came from? Did they just appear from the ground in South Africa? Are you not aware that their ancestors also migrated from Central, West and East Africa? Africans have always moved from one part of Africa to another, depending on factors like wars and famine /drought. Black people are related. Don't try and be an expert on things you know nothing about and bring your divisions here .Maybe you are the one who is not related to us, but don't speak for the rest of the black race. Besides, many black Americans attest that, of all Africans, they feel they share a lot more in common with black South Africans than other groups, and that includes their features. You're not African, you know nothing about us or our origins.
I am so happy they did Africa episode it is very rare Black Americans see Africa Descendants on television. Our Cultures should learn more about each other. i am proud of them.
American media teaches us to look down on Africa as if it's 3rd world but it's not working anymore. We see the beauty, the technology, the resources, wisdom and the wealth. We know why the world can't keep their hands off of her
Why blame American media? If African Americans want to really know where they come from nothing would stop them, it ain’t the media, 90% African Americans don’t care, stop blaming random stuff lol
Yes, the media plays a part in this. Africa is one of the most beautiful continents with a lot of wisdom and culture. The media only plays what THEY want us to see.
@@dem676speaks5 The reason most Black Americans don't identity with Africa because most of Black Americans are indigenous to the land of America aka Turtle Island.
Check out therealsouthafrican.com an American couple who have moved to South Africa and have started a tourist company aimed at making it easier for black Americans to transition into South Africa.

@@rebaonenolwazi9822 that makes you feel better ? So it bothers you that she mentioned just Africa, and not specifically "south Africa", right ? Wow black people ! By the way every African country has a name except South Africa which makes absolutely no sense because that is not a name, but a geographical name.
@@dezos2900 South Africa is the name! Just like South Korea! Acting all smart here 😂😂😂 you gonna say United State of America ain't got no name too right? 🤣
@@msindisi.ndlela North Korea, not North Asia. Korea is the landscape divided into two. One North, and one South. United States of America. It says "United States". That is different. This is absolutely AMAZING!!! And the way Steve turns it into something simple and beautiful, but with a lot of respect for people... asking the questions we would have, in a way that everybody understands, both the guests as the people watching... he is really a hell of a host. Brilliant!!!
I agree! I would love someday to visit! Just to learn and embrace the Culture! The Cradled of Civilization. If the African Americans all could visit! They would see how much they were robbed of their true Culture!
@@alonzojneloms8765 PLEASE! do pay South Africa a visit after this corona virus pandemic, u will fall in love and would probably want to stay here forever, lol. but do consider coming here. so many great places to see, I mean the only country in Africa with 11/12 different cultures, the diversity is impeccable. start with KWAZULU NATAL - DURBAN.
@Ryno Hoskin many also lose their lives to starvation and inadequate sanitation and housing. The farm attacks though tragic highlight a very sad reality that few have the wealth and many don't.
From a Mexican American, it was brilliant for him to take this show to Africa. So hilarious and educational and making South Africa appear in a good light for once. So funny! I have to keep watching 😌
I'll never forget my visit to an Ndebele village in South Africa. I love his neck wear and all of their pieces. I have a wonderful similar piece, made by women in the villages. Its so beautiful!!!
Steve's so silly!! He's HILARIOUS!! That "King Of Comedy" side of him never leaves. I used to like some of the older hosts of this show, but Steve came and topped them all!! His charisma and humour is a winning recipe for success!!
Beautiful African people I am a Jamaican but I am missing out so much on my African heritage it makes me smile to see and to hear the beautiful names very unique names of my people thank you Steve
How is he so surprised African Women are stunning! From here in the USA all the way to the Motherland, and the diaspora, we are among some of the most beautiful people in the world.
I really respect Steve for this........ God bless his heart, I love that hes bringing exposure in his own way. As an African, I love it.... n thanks family feud.
These names are GORGEOUS. I am thoroughly impressed with the Ndebele people. Beautiful and well-mannered, well-spoken. I am now interested in visiting the African continent. Thank you beautiful family for coming on the air and showing me what I have been missing.
The Ntuli family are heavenly i wonder how the family meetings look like !!! Beautiful people Am coming to mpumalanga hahaha my people Dumelang, Much love from Kenya

When your father has more than one wife they're all your mothers, literally and all their children are your brothers and sisters. The concept of step-parents and half siblings is foreign to us as Africans.
Maybe it's just me, but the African version of the set is SOOOOO much more beautiful than the American version of the Celebrity Family Feud set. The blue lighting on the African set is so much prettier.
Media kept the real Africa's people hidden and shown Americans Africa is all in poverty. Beautiful and intelligent family and I love their culture outfits and wow the ladies' hair are all on point. Steve thanks for the Family Feud Africa.

They play both sides. Show black Americans as no good troublemakers and shows the continent as poor and ravaged by wars. To keep both sides apart! It worked for a long time until social media became accessible.
I'm afro-latino, and it is great to see the REAL motherland, as one in America always reps their country and culture, in my case the caribbean, but this, is where it all began.
The South African culture is quite similar to my own in Kenya. That's probably because of the Bantu connection. I believe most communities in Nigeria are Nilotes. That probably explains the difference.
@@emmanuelyambo4143 I'm South African but this made me laugh 😂😂😂 we are not xenophobic brother. It's just a few rotten apples among us giving us a bad name. Once you get to know us you will know that.
Thank you for saying that…global Black needs to aspire to this and build itself wherever it is. And you have other Black ppl from rest of the continent trying to sell a false narrative of Black SAns being lazy…ppl will eventually learn what Black SAns are really doing here for themselves despite the obstacles put in front of them
How polite! How educated and absolutely amazing these kids are. They are indispensable in any country!! 😄 ♥️💕❤️🤩 Though in the USA the contrast would be huge... 😏
Me being a black man in America, I really enjoy watching Family Feud Africa. This is the first time that I'm seeing Africa in a positive light, because for decades we were taught in America that everything in Africa was primitive, and ugly. I had no idea how beautiful Africa is. One of these days, I'm going to visit The Motherland.
This is heartbreaking. 'Primitive and ugly'??? Nothing can be farther from the truth. We feel nothing but pain for black brothers and sisters whose minds have never been permitted to search their own truths and drink from their ancestral springs. Comfort is good, but not when one chooses comfortable blindness. Africa may seem 'ugly' in comparison to technological and social developments in USA for example, but Africa is absolutely surreal and beautiful in comparison to the countries with an overdose of technological/resource development. To be honest, the only things Africans love about foreign advanced countries is the comforts those countries offer. Every African who has had the privilege of being raised in Africa and has imbibed the culture before venturing out to another country, will tell you that the soul, sound, drive, zest, laughter, colors, love, compassion and pride of Africa can never be lost on us not be replaced by fascinating architectures, vaccines or pop culture. I chose to raise my kids here even though I have the means to relocate abroad. I want them to not lose the soul. The rest of the whole world is there for adventures. Africa is soul. Honest to God!
You know what Ms.Mandy? I would love spending a lifetime. Just to know my Culture there! I'm from the States. My Ancestry Bloodline! I'm West Indies and Jamaican I'm told! I have gray/blue eyes! You have to stand close. To see it!! Like rings around my pupils! Got it from my Father's side of the Family! When I was younger I use stare at my Father's family! Now they are staring at me! Lol
You know what Ms.Mandy? One of these days. Africa will be like a. Disneyland! People from all over will be flooding your gates! Making it very affordable! I believe that. Take care! And stay Safe!
flamingpie herman yeah but it’s so proudly good for women and it makes the marriage strong for love each other because it has very amazing things that make you real happy with your wife.
Curtis Martin It’s nice that they have traditional names but don’t you think that you shouldn’t call English names “Slave names”? I’m from Zimbabwe but my mother decided to name me Christy. I’d appreciate it if my name and half of my family’s name weren’t referred to as “Slave Names”
@Curtis Martin Don't be jealous! You are our dear brothers and sisters, and our arms are always open- we await your permanent return to our land, we are of the same bloodline- bless you brother
I love how Nomathemba pronounced her siblings names with an African accent and adding that "u"...... instead of try to have a twang. I do this as well...
Hahaha i picked that up and I'm like, she's making it more difficult for him😂😂😂😂 but that's how we pronounce our names😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️ uThando. I thought Steve will make a comment on U😂😂.
In America, it is common for teachers to change the pronunciation of African names in order to “make it easier”. However, they make sure students know how to pronounce names like Tchaikovsky (or else they’ll be seen as uneducated). I’m glad Nomathemba pronounced her siblings’ names the right way 🥰
What country are you talking about? Actually been to Asia and Koreans and Japanese love visiting South Africa. Perhaps the Europeans because they are racist.
Stop right there. Not Underrated. It is the denial to knowledge of the rich african heritage. The Spread Ignorance by the West who do not want the Richness and Cultural Wealth known to the rest of the World is just nauseous. Africa is EXTREMELY RICH IN EVERYTHING. Wealth, Intelligence,Health, Agriculture,Mines, Infrastructure,Land, Minerals, People...The west want you all to believe only about a fly or a hungry child. You all literally have that too if you look. Africa is RICH. Malcom X said , you all black folks need to go back to Africa and invest. You do not have to go back as in to live. But go back and invest that wealth for you and posterity. All you do is think negative of africa. Disease, poverty ,hunger or lack. Africa doesn't lack. Never has Africa lacked. All Africa has been is EXPLOITED! Black folks need to learn culture, take on Malcom X words and his father's words about taking charge of investing back in motherland for your generations. That's where black empowermnent is at. Black panther movie gave that idea more. Not weapons primarily but economic empowermnent to fight for a global space at the extreme high table. Think. Instead of complaints and 'fighting police brutality"...empower yourself by investing weatlh with legitimate reason and returns for your generations. Africa is where everything is all at and you do not have to be back there. Invest while you are still here and make it a black global power. Everything mineral is there. Every human resource is there. And that human resource is literally smarter than any one in the world. Invest education and empowermnent and black power will thank you 50-100 years from now. You won't have to worry about today but tomorrow
I love Family Feud Africa. I learned so much by watching Steve Harvey interact with the different contestants and families! I want to experience the African continent. Beautiful family. Kudos to Mr. Harvey.
I am so happy that I married a Nigerian woman. As a black American man, she has put me back in touch with the culture my heart so yearns for. And yes, she did cost me many cows and quite a few dead presidents but she was definitely worth it. 😉
