Point is, anyone that's in the life or interested in the Mob knows what it's about and what is expected of you. So stop asking the man if he ever killed anyone. It's Cosa Nostra, if he did, he's not gonna tell you. And like he said, is it gonna make you like or respect him more? If Mike ever killed anyone, so what, it was his life, his job and the oath he made. What's it got to do with anyone?

I believe Michael did murder before and I firmly believe that he regrets it everyday of his life. I feel like he does this RU-vid channel to atone for his sins, not to feel like some kind of bad ass. He already lived it up and had that life but sees that the price of a clean conscience is something you cannot put a dollar amount on. Michael did his time and I don't even care what happened as far as the specifics regarding "the life". I enjoy hearing him talk because he is one of the few that really has been given a second chance and only a jerkoff would come here to hear about the specifics of the things that likely haunt this man everyday of his life. God bless ya Michael.

Keyboard Musician my dad was in Vietnam. My grandad was in Ww2 in heavy firefights in Italy and. a POW to boot (both have awesome stories. They wouldn’t even tell me- their oldest son and oldest grandson. I never really asked accept once when I did a biography on my grandad in high school right before he died. it was on how he masterminded an escape from the German pow camp and got back around to meet back up with the US army. When I asked he simply said “next question- I don’t want to answer that son until I meet St Peter. “. My dad never told me up until he died. Most vets- if they are asked- and they feel fairly sure that they had no confirmed/witnessed kills- they will say “I don’t know or even “nope”. Even my grandads CO (Felix Sparks- google him) who became a dear friend to my grandma and grandpa after the war had difficulty discussing in his books when it came to his actions personally. Bottom line- most grunts will never talk about it- except with fellow brothers. How could I ever truly understand if my grandad or dad told me? I couldn’t fathom. Now if I wouldn’t have had inner ear surgery and wouldn’t have been medically rejected for Desert Storm- they might’ve opened up to me. Thank you very much for your service and sacrifices sir. When I was older I found out he still had nightmares of cities on fire & planes going down in flames.. Amen. My grandfather is gone now, and I was too young to really appreciate his experiences. Never asked him about his time in the war (New Zealand Army, served in Italy and Africa I believe). I'm actually glad I never talked to him about it. He served, was wounded in the neck by a German sniper. Came home, lived a good life, was a good husband, raised a good family. I'm going to go down the road of finding out his service history so I can appreciate him more, but I'm like you - glad I didn't stir up all the trauma by asking him.

@@BurningBridgesForever Technically not lying and trying to maximize your profits and stay out of jail is what a mob guy and business guy does, not a Christian. Strictly speaking a Christian shouldn't care about money, only Christ. And the Christian would fess up to all their crimes and be okay spending the rest of their life behind bars. What I'm saying is that he never stopped being a hustler, he's always trying to make cash and have a big house. He just changed his hustle.

Dear Michael, I am writing with a request. I haven't heard you talk quite so much about the Colombo Wars ('71 and '91). Perhaps the 1991 blowup took place when you were incarcerated, but I would really like to hear your insight into not one, but two of the most violent mob wars in New York. They both took place in your former Family, involved your former Boss along with numerous cohorts, and were events that practically bookended your era in the mob. I'd like to know more about Joe Gallo, and about Junior Persico. Also about those involved in the '91 war- Vic Orena, Greg Scarpa, Wild Bill Cutolo, and perhaps others who took part in this war. Perhaps underlying factors that led into it, just whatever insights you can offer. I do feel like this can offer a powerful lesson in exactly how badly that life could spiral into a nightmare for those involved, and their families. More important than my request, I want to thank you. I've been following your story since you first started making the podcast rounds in the last few years. I try to watch every new upload on your channel when I can, and I really appreciate the take on history along with the powerful message that you bring behind these stories.
