Please like and comment of this helped you. Before I started recording I manually pushed the motor to defrost setting while the controls/switch was set there. After doing that twice and running it through all settings it works now.
I have a similar problem whereby my 2008 Sedona's mode knob turns but the air does not change where it comes from. Appears to come from the floor some, and a little from the center console and a little from the defroster. Using this video as a guide plan to go look and see if i can manually move the controls under the dash. If so I will buy an Actuator Mode LH part # 971554D000 and replace. Just wanted to get an idea where this part is located before i go digging into the dash. Thanks alot for posting this simple but very informative, for me, video.
Having the clicking noise problem and the doors wont change when I try to get it anywhere but the floor. I think it is the actuator its self in my case. But being 63 with steel rods in my back I will be seeking other help as soon as I can afford it. No AC when it is 96 outside sucks!
gunslingr45 - sounds like it might be. You could get a guy from an autoparts store to check it for you. I find shade tree mechanics that way if im short on money. Just ask if anyone works on cars on the side.
I get no movement on this mechanism whatsoever when I change the dial. Defrost and floor vents not working. It blows hot air from the standard front vents only. Not sure where to begin to troubleshoot. Any idea which fuse handles this mechanism?
Unfortunately im not that familiar with that vehicle. Keep searching on Google and if fuse is good id Google how to test actuator motor. Start there and work back to the switch
@@livenfree It started working on it’s own. It had been sitting a while but continuing to change the vent setting controls and it started working again.
I think my Kia is evil and trying to kill me. I got going down the road and the freezing rain hit the windshield and glazed over on the highway. If I hadn't had a windex bottle of deicer I'd be on the side of the road still. If I leave the keys in the ignition, walk away and then remember and go back... it locks (all by itself) just as I reach for the handle.... the thing is evil.
