Jesse Campbell & Trina Barnette covers classic "Where Is The Love" from the 1995 movie soundtrack "Dead Presidents." They were the original singers of the this particular performance / cover song.
I was an assistant theater manager at the time Dead Presidents was released and every time that this would play over the end credits, me and the rest of the staff would sing this together. This is a fantastic version!
That is so cool.. I remember seein this at the theatre.. An sittin thru listenin to this song .. Went out the next day an bought the soundtrack... Still have that same one ... Good memories
Where is she now and what is she doing does she have a instagram or youtube channel tell her we wanna see her and jesse sing this live on youtube please..........We the PEOPLE STILL LOVE THIS SONG.
I had my son in 1995 when I was 22 yrs old. Now he is 24 and I'm 46, reminiscing about the 90's. God I miss those days. Where does the time go? Loved this movie and soundtrack ❤❤❤
Wow! I really hate that this young lady decided to discontinue her recording career. They fit so well together. They could have been the next "Marvin & Tammi" or "Ashford" & Simpson".. Even "Roberta Flack" had to be proud of what they did with that song. It was simply amazing!
I agree but I'm sure she had her reasons. Seeing how evil the music and movie industry are, I can understand why she decided to leave it behind. Both artist have amazing voices. This song is one of my favorites ❤ I miss music like this. So wholesome and beautiful where it lifts you up and takes you back to a time when you were surrounded by all your loved ones who are no longer here with you. RIP mom ❤
I still play this song December 2023 and will continue. My 23 year old daughter listens to this song often. Dang such beautiful ppl with amazing voices. I love it 🥰
It's rare that you find/love a remake of a PERFECT song just as much if not MORE than the original, this is that one song for me... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS...just as much as the original!❤️
This was my JAM!! I saw Jesse on The Voice... that man is a vocal icon. The Voice didn't know the treasure that was in front of them. And Yes, Trina. Where is she? Love that voice
I wonder if Jesse had watched the end credits to the movie to hear this played back? I know *I* did. Believe it or not, when I was a toddler, I had always listened to *A LOT* of soundtrack CDs. Out of all songs, this is one of the songs that I mostly remember hearing, *THIS* version specifically. It's funny enough that I had never heard of the movie "Dead Presidents" at the time. See, this came out in 1995; I was born in 1998. And get this: The first time I had watched the film was actually *YEARS* ago, back when I was in Florida, and I had forgotten all about this song until I actually watched the credits; then it suddenly hit me on the head like an anvil as soon as I heard it! Now, I'm back in New Jersey, where I was born, and I *STILL* watch the film *AND* the credits. I even got the film soundtrack CD just so I could listen to this.
Thank you. Please do me a favor by sharing, and subscribing to my Kid's RU-vid Channel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TzmwBfbIqkM.html I'd really appreciate it. The pandemic changed my life whereby, I now sing, act, do voiceovers, animation, produce and other things to bring Children's content to life as "Mister Jesse" a RU-vid Kid's Channel. Thanks for the support.
This is my favorite version out of them all i like how the rhythm is slowed down they made it more of a "longing" love song the original was a lil more upbeat
Kendricks/Ross, Gaye/Terrell, Hathaway/Flack Bryson/Belle..... Jesse and Trina!! Can't get enough of the soulful vocal riffs and the moment at 2:05 and Trina. Whaatt In Sam Hill! 🤩👊🏿 Stellar.

This video previewed the movie dead presidents. After watching this video I couldn't wait to see the movie. The sistas were both so beautiful. The movie was everything I thought it would be and more ♥️
It's so rare to hear a rendition that is better than the original song. especially when the original singers were Donny Hathaway & Roberta Flack. Very good job.
Omg! Thanks to everyone who made this REMAKE A BEAUTIFUL SONG 🎵.. much love to our late great singer Mr Donny Hathaway and the very talented Ms Roberta Flack. ❤
