People give me a hard time for not letting my kids when they where 3 and 2 play outside by themselves with other kids. No adult was watching them. If I wasn’t out they weren’t aloud to be outside even if there was other kids. They say I didn’t let me kids be kids by letting them play alone. Things like this is the reason why no matter what age. These things can happen. You turn for a second and they can be gone

Danelle Hallan so true. I had a very unsupervised childhood myself and sometimes watching these I am so thankful nothing like this happened to me! I don't have children yet but I can't imagine what it is like for parents knowing how possible these kinds of tragedies are 😣

Milandra Coast it means that he just wants to give the rescued children a hug as reassurance, but he's aware that strangers giving hugs is not a positive experience for a child that has been trafficked and sexually abused.

girl you need to do a video about Nicholas Barclay. He was a 13 year old San Antonio boy who went missing in 1994 after being forced to walk home from playing basketball with his friends. The police and his family assumed that he had simply run away, as he was a “troubled teen.” Three years later, Nicholas was found in Spain. With his family confused as to how he had obtained a passport and how his blue eyes were now brown, they brought him home, ecstatic to have Nicholas back. FBI Agent Fisher decided to do an interview on him to get more details of his kidnapping. He told her that shortly after beginning his walk home, he was grabbed from behind and taken to a location that had other kidnapped children and members of the military. Every night, he was abused physically and sexually. One night, solution was poured in his eyes to make them brown. Agent Fisher began to investigate this, and sent Barclay to therapy for all he had been through. After some analysis, it was determined through his grammar and syntax, there was no way that this man was American. His family was in denial, and denied a DNA sample. After a warrant was put in place and DNA was gathered, it was proven that the man they had brought home was, in fact, not Nicholas Barclay, but instead a 23-year-old French native who had a history of stealing the identities of missing teens to gain the nurturing and structure that he didn’t have as a child. This man was sent back to France after facing 6 years in American prison, and faced several more in France. Meanwhile, Nicholas’ family was suspected of being involved in his assumed murder. When asked if the mother knew where Nicholas was, she replied no, and the polygraph determined she was lying. However, this is essentially where the case goes cold. No evidence has been found, and Nicholas Barclay is still a missing teen.

Update: I live in Australia and there still hasn't been any new discoveries or developments on the case. Every once in a while there will be further investigations, however sadly nothing has come of it.

Brittany Holtgreven I’m assuming it’s to avoid birth parents or birth relatives with drug addiction, alcohol or mental health/psychological problems to hunt down their kids & possibly do the worst🤷🏻‍♀️ I knew couple of foster parents where they can’t speak about the foster kid’s names and if there was a group family photo with them in it, they have to black out their faces to protect their identity. It is sad that it does have to come down to those kinds of things, but then again, it’s to protect the kids from unstable birth parents or relatives.

Britney isn’t Australia foster children’s identities are legally protected. It’s illegal to publicly identify them. That’s why a judge had to sign off on the release of that information

New updates from Aus as of today due to new evidence: AVO protection order taken out against his Foster parents in regard to another child and cadaver dogs and searches being undertook on the Foster grandparents property (where he went missing). They have never searched the property and are searching for remains. Speculation that there is one specific person of interest who is also on the AVO and involving the balcony of the property involved . Interesttttinngggg. Thoughts with the BIOLOGICAL parents. Whom has spoken out in years since and said she did intend to get him back.

I’m an Australian watching this from home - that photo of him in his Spider-Man costume has been everywhere nationally. Everyone is looking for him with the hope he may still be alive. Rumour is that he is has been murdered though and the police know who did it but can’t prove it.

Interesting update from The Guardian in April 2022: The foster mother of William has been charged with giving false information to investigators, following a similar charge to the foster father previously. It has been stated that the foster mother and now deceased foster grandmother are again under investigation. There is ongoing investigation into the possibility that William fell from a balcony and then his body hidden. In addition, the foster parents were last year charged with the alleged common assault of a child who was not William Tyrrell. They both plead not guilty. Adds a few wrinkles to this, although I hope it's not the case that the foster parents had anything to do with it. There was also a deathbed confession from a man who claimed he transported his best friend and William somewhere 300 miles away, and has felt guilty ever since.

You should do a video on the death of Anita Cobby. She was killed in 1986 and it is still classed as the worst homicide that has happened in Australia to this day. It happened in the suburb i live in and everyone still talks about it today. No youtubers have covered this story and I think it would be great to hear your view on it :) xx

Nina Koestinger basically in 1986 she was brutally raped repeatedly by 5 men I won't say what they did but in Australia hardly anyone gets a "never to be released" but that's what these 5 men got. What they did was indescribably horrific.

My husband and I live wayyyy out in the country and we have a 3 year old, an 18 month old and a son on the way. Sometimes my husband gets onto me for not letting our 3 year old play on the porch by herself ever. Even if I'm going inside for a minute to grab a jacket. But all I can think about is what if something did happen? I would never forgive myself for leaving her unsupervised. This makes me so sad and I hope to God he is found 😭

Just a quick thing you missed. The washing machine guy also had a search on his car where they found a spider man toy. It was one that William was playing with and had / was missing. He claimed it wasn't Williams but it is suspicious. Just something interesting to add. Ps I love these videos

Unfortunately it’s looking like it was the foster mum. Looking at these videos now, she’s a master manipulator. She’s had a few other child abuse charges against her. Yup foster care system did drop the ball by putting William into her home

Where the parents were being blurred & identities being held private is actually fairly normal in foster and process of adoption cases. Usually even the child/children’s identity stay hidden because of legal reasons. The boys was obviously known because he was missing. My parents fostered to adopt children here in America and they are legally not allowed to post them on the internet or anything until everything legally is worked out and finalized. It seems sketchy to most people but it’s just for protection of the children and foster parent(s) 🙂 Praying for this family & that their sweet boy is brought home!! 💙

You're exactly right about foster children not being allowed to be posted on the internet. There used to be a channel here on RU-vid called Elizabeth Mayhem. She's a British woman and her channel had grocery hauls, What's For Dinner videos, etc. I LOVED her channel and watched everyday. Unfortunately, she removed her channel because some of their kids were foster kids and were in some of the videos and I guess she didn't know about the rules and when she found out, she closed her channel and removed all the videos.

It would be great if you could do a missing video on Diana Alvarez. She is a young Mexican girl who went missing from cape coral Florida. Her father lives in Mexico, but police believe he is innocent. There was a man who was found with sexual pics of her on his phone and arrested for that but he was cleared for her abduction. It takes a special kinda evil to cry so convincingly for so many years when they knew they were responsible! It makes me angry that they keep referring to them as his parents even after it was revealed he was fostered. He had a real mum who wanted him back, you can't just take that title!

I notice a common theme in a lot of these situations with young children who go missing. Parents: NEVER TAKE UR EYES OFF UR YOUNG KIDS! ESPECIALLY OUTSIDE THE HOUSE- not even for a minute!!! My son is almost 2 and he doesn’t leave my sight for even a SECOND when we are outside the house!

I was going to comment that actually as Kendall didn't mention that and, I have filmed a video about William and his case and the website I got my info from mentioned about Michael being his uncle and I was shocked at first and, how Michael hasn't really said anything because, him and his family weren't really apart of William's life other than when William was a baby but, still, I can't imagine how much pain that would have been for Michael when he found out his nephew went missing even though not really being apart of his life, it would still hurt a lot like, I have so many family members that I only communicate through social media and, if I heard anything about them going missing or anything, it would still hurt even though contact is rare, it would still be painful to hear news of family going missing or something bad happening to them.

*UPDATE* November 2021 William's foster parents have just been charged with harming the little sister. The police are now investigating the foster parents AND have seized the foster grandparents car. They are also digging up the yard. They are absolutely looking into them and believe that they had something to do it.

This has not been proven, it was a claim made by a detective that is pretty much just speculation. She was just found not guilty of charges that she had against her stating that she lied to NSW Crime Commission. This just happened today (3rd of November 2022).

Rachel Bennett the latest is that the local police relaunched a new investigation in June I believe. Abbott is still one of the main suspects and they are monitoring phone transcripts from his time in prison.

Most recent update is that William was revealed to have been stuffed into a suitcase and discarded somewhere, but nobody is saying where exactly, not wanting him to be found. I've read a few places saying he was beaten to death, accidently pushed off the deck, strangled, punished too far, or choking. But nobody knows for sure as the child would be a skeleton at this point so terms of death would be hard to decipher. At this rate, no telling if we will ever find out truthfully, same as so many of these cases.....

I'm Australian and I'm so glad you're talking about this case! I don't think the foster care system is trying to be secretive, it mightn't be like this in the U.S. but most foster kids here aren't even allowed to be photographed. In primary school my best friend was a foster kid and she legally wasn't allowed to participate in school photos, if you were to release a photo it could pretty much only be of the back of their head so it's a pretty tricky situation here :)

Lemonjelli they aren’t allowed to be photographed in case a relative of their biological family, or their biological parents, sees the picture and tries to track them down. Their have been too many cases where angry and dangerous biological parents have showed up at day care centres, birthday parties and schools after seeing photos of their children who have been taken off them, and intending to cause harm or take the child/ children who have been removed from them as they are deemed unfit to be parents and have a dangerous environment for a kid to be around

Speaking as a kid who was in foster care over here I can say that the system is completely corrupt. While you're statement is absolutely true regarding school photos ect. It does not mean AT ALL that we don't have a very flawed and a really very pathetic system. By the way, I am not saying this just to sound sensationalistic but am speaking 100 percent from personal experience. Just research the stats of just the amount of abuse and missing person cases that takes place in DOCS QLD alone. I've had personal experience which I won't go into but know that I am in no way alone. Each of my friends have similiar stories and some that would shock our nation. Also, I can tell you for sure that they are in NO WAY above cover ups or corruption like at all.

MissGlamBAM they blamed a person Next door who worked with washing machines. He was interviewed at port Macquarie and is believed to be responsible. More information is needed for the magistrate to accuse him guilty

This happened in my home town a place we’re as kids we walked the streets building cubby houses, swimming In the river and just having no cares what so ever. I remember this happening so clearly we all handed together to search and everyday ending empty handed was just beyond devastating. The years go by and still we stay strong with hope we still build billboards and post pictures. Hopefully one day he will come home to his family

There have been updates and more searching in regards to this case. They ripped up the grandparents yard and found red fabric that's being tested and the adoptive parents have been in court for child abuse charges in regards to Williams sister that they kept.

Finally some more aussie cases! I think it's so important to share other countries stories because in the big scheme of things Australia is isolated and our stories of missing persons go under the radar heaps and these people may have been sighted without anyone knowing is many other countries across the world and we also don't have Amber Alerts here. Hopefully smaller countries or isolated countries get more exposure of these cases in the future :)

There is a lot of new information coming out about this case. The foster mother and father are facing stalk and intimidation charges, as well as assault charges. Unfortunately it is looking like the foster parents had something to do with William’s assumed death or it was an accident and they covered it up. I hope this case is solved soon and justice is served to the perpetrator(s).
