Nice video, as always. I'm amazed at the amount of production time you put into these. Even the simple scenes of you walking into the church turning on the lights, getting ready...All that stuff takes time. And the looking back stuff was really clever and must have taken a while to put together in post not to mention mapping out where to place the camera and where you should be standing. Good work on all of that. I love your message and your thoughts. Not to mention your choice in music. You do good things. Thanks for your hard work on these. I look forward to the next video!! Speaking in Church is terrifying, Catholic or not. I remember the first time I was assigned to speak at my church as well as the 2nd. One, I felt no connection to the assigned topic and the other I grabbed the wrong notebook that morning. My 3rd and 4th went well, but I had most of a theatre degree (dropped out, whoops) and a public speaking class under my belt at that point. I've also been assigned to teach before and a calling in our women's group. Sabbaths when you have an assignment or calling are hardly restful and I didn't even have vestaments or a suit. Bless you for your work!

Father,. I consider myself a Catholic but I’m married to a Protestant. Prior to our marriage, my wife insisted we attend her Church. I loved her so much and wanted to please her so we attend an Assembly of God Church. The Pastor knows I consider myself Catholic and is supportive of how I feel . The message is the same but the presentation is much different and communion, well is not the same. To be honest that has been difficult but I do talk to God while I’m taking the elements. I confess my sins to God directly through prayer. This U tube videos has been a Blessing to me.

Brother Casey - may I ask where you got the leather backpack?

I’m surprised some of these parishes in the south are so large. I’ve come to realize size matters often in the gospel outreach availability. For one thing, the church is not so given to petty insider squabbles and is more welcoming if parish is run well. Unfortunately the paid staff eventually sees their task as just a job without fervor for outreach and new parishioners. From experience the activities coordinator at my church of more than 3000 was the most inert person in entire parish. And, lay Director of education (paid position) lost interest in teaching once 3 kids arrived. But main point in all this .....bro Casey should not feel he should be giving great homilies.homilies should not outweigh the mass. But ... as every catholic knows ...it’s the intent and character of the speaker that counts more.
