…more likely a custom-made new wing joint than it having come from another instrument. I reckon the original wing joint (which had a high-F key/hole and a D-D# trill key/hole) made the instrument unstable (instruments with a high-F hole are more of a hit-and-miss than those with only a high-E hole (but many high-F horns are great too!!)), so Mor Biron got himself a wing joint for his instrument with less unnecessary holes. FoxFagottjunge sorry, I haven’t been on google or RU-vid in a while, cool. I had no idea, I’m too old, I remember George Goslee from the Cleveland orchestra had a Hackel made of two different horns and stories of a few other players. Interesting about the high F hole, I’m not surprised that it could influence the horn, especially higher up on the horn, the wing would logically be the most sensitive. Thanks for sharing!
