If you were in his presence, you knew you were in the presence of evil. Where's My Roy Cohn? Opens NY/LA on September 20th sonyclassics.co... #SonyClassics #WheresMyRoyCohn #OfficialTrailer #Documentary
Who allowed him to get away with those things for years? I watch the documentary yesterday. If you've seen the documentary then you're probably notice that it's much more unbiased compared to the trailer above. The trailer doesn't represent the documentary well at all but I guess it's a teaser to get people to watch the documentary. Fortunately, I watched the documentary and then wanted to send the trailer to my father. I'm not going to send the trailer to my father because I feel like it's such a misrepresentation of the documentary itself. I'm glad I never saw the trailer before the documentary.
Never apologize, never apologize. Suddenly the evil doers use your apology to hang you. Apologizing is seen as admitting to doing something wrong. Never apologize.
@@mikeorfe1188 I mean, the Mormon clerk character that Roy takes under his wing is fictional, but, basically everything else in the film/play is based on extremely well documented sources; basically all of which are addressed in this film as well. Soooo, what didn't you like?
This is a simply dynamite, well researched, scary and entertaining documentary. Roy Cohn was both a most immoral human being but also most fascinating.
Excellent film... I knew nothing about Cohn -- and was pulled into the connective tissue of dynamics that are both universal and unique TV age strategies of our politics today.
imo everyone really needs to be reading the research by whitney webb (one nation under blackmail), she's researched all of this stuff more than anyone else. strongly recommended because of the high level of scholarship and also the lack of bias or speculation - interesting times we're in, where the amount of people understanding more about powerfully corrupt US history is increasing so quickly
Do you think he was more corrupt or as corrupt in comparison to the majority of politicians in DC? I watched the documentary yesterday and this trailer is not at all A good representation of the documentary I saw
Always look at the childhood to see where someone is coming from. Maybe Cohn's relationship with his mother was the catalyst for this mans evil doings.
I would be surprised when one day men finally take responsibilities for their behavior instead of blaming women/their mothers for their violence against society.
Premieres in NY & LA today and then slowly rolls out to other theaters all over the USA as shown here roycohnDOTassembleDOTme (replace DOT with real dot)

After watching that trailer who would believe this "documentary" of Roy Cohn is honest, accurate and fair? Good grief the trailer itself is a hatchet job.
@@stephanysuydam6019 Often when someone says "It's true" followed by "Just do some real research" or "Just Google it" you know it's just noise. I'm familiar with Roy Cohn's remarkable life.
Everyone saying Roy Cohn is some kind of evil or bad in this trailer is an evil grabbler. You can sometimes judge a man by his enemies. If this is one such case, Roy must be a saint.
There is an old HBO movie about Roy Cohn, I can't remember a lot of it, it was a long time ago, but it was good. Ironically James Woods played Cohn. And James Woods proved himself to be a piece of shit also. Interesting isn't it.
James Woods, who starred as Cohn, was nominated for both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance in that movie. It is reported he has an IQ of 180, and he went to MIT. Hopefully, your low opinion of him is not because he is a conservative, like Clint Eastwood.
This says that America is a lie set up by gangsters! This isn’t about Roy Cohen this is about so called America. How can you believe in this country after seeing this movie?? It’s unbelievable!
Those who lack self-respect, treat others without respect. Cohn clearly hated being gay and that was much of the reason he was so miserable and lacking in self-respect.
Every American needs to watch, understand, and vote with this documentary in mind. Most Trump supporters will probably excuse and admire the Cohn as they do his protégé Donald. However, perhaps some of these frankly failed citizens can have enough common-sense, patriotism and moral outrage to reconsider their cult membership.
@Mason Albert I've only recently decided that Trump is closeted. Watching this film made me suspect that even more, that he and Cohn got it on. He was Cohn's type, not as handsome as Schine, but in the ballpark.
You see how TRUMP ... ALWAYS!!! Talking about how...YOUNG ! and HANSOME!.. Some Man! Is!🤕 And is ALWAYS!!! Complimenting!!! Some... MAN!!!...on his Looks!🤮🤕😞
It's cowardly to make a documentary about someone who can't defend themselves. Roy definitely not innocent but definitely not the demon as portrayed in this
the music placement in this doc is absolutely contra productive - it overpowers many original / archival footage - you struggle hard to understand what is being said and gives the doc a cheapish, sensationalistic drive
No one is arguing that he is the most evil person. But he is a fascinatingly evil person. It's hard not to be one-sided with this guy. The closest thing that he had to friends were people who wanted things from him.
