No need to apologize! Life happens. Holy smokes, you have a STOK Grill!! I bought mine in 2011 and have all of the inserts. I rarely come across anyone who has heard of them. We can't wait to see you all back at the shack!
Thanks, yes it does, just a seemed like it was the weather, a meeting or two, and the new grandson. It happens, I guess I saved a few bucks in gas and tolls. I like the STOK, cooks up a good dinner. Had it a while now and it's hanging in there. Will be back up soon!. Take care!
Rook - you’re doing exactly what you should. Taking care of Mrs and tending to the homestead. Looking forward to future posts on game at the cabin. All is good.
Thank you very much, I don't mind firing the grill up for a good cook. Think I need some ribs in my future. Will be back to the cabin as soon as it works out.
Good evening sir I couldn't agree more about all the rain we sure did have our share and congratulations on the new grand child also that ribeye looked amazing and im sure your wife enjoyed that and you got some nice bear on camera well take care and hopefully you can make a camp trip soon.
Thanks 👍rain seemed like it was everyday almost on the forecast. Hopefully now we are in a better pattern. My wife and the cats enjoyed the ribeye, I think they eat as much as she does sometimes! Take care.
@@whiterook85 Had to take a pass this year. My dad decided to up and run for state senate (just won his primary) so that time of year became hard to plan around. Look forward to seeing how your gang does though!
Glad to hear from you! Been a rough spring for me as well with getting anything done. Havent been fishing at all, and havent shot a 3D archery course at all which I usually do a lot of. Went to our camp twice mostly for work details and to hang a camera quickly.
Congratulations on the new Grandchild my friend. Heading up camp 4th July week, Forest County. Love it. No place I would rather be. Retiring in 16 months. Can't wait.
Thank you very much, enjoy the time at camp. Going to try to make up soon for a few days. You will enjoy retirement, but you will sometimes wonder why you're as busy as when you were working. It's a good thing, take care.
Good to see you're doing well, just wanted to say thanks for turning me on to the therm pro thermometer it was a game changer! My bbq has never been better. Take care and I'll be looking forward to seeing your next video.
Rook, I started watching your channel back in 2020 while working second shift at my old job. Since then I changed jobs twice for financial reasons and kind of forgot about your channel(sorry). Any way, fast forward and I find you again while at work one day and have been filling my free time at work with some RU-vid. Well I started turkey hunting with a group of guys in ‘22 and after watching your “spring trip 2021” video I realized your camp is probably 15 mins. from the house and hunting grounds I go too. Well hopefully I’ll run into you or sintax or chairman or camp cook one day up there. Side note, there’s a bar at the intersection stop sign in Morris that has some decent food. Talk to you later. -John
Hello John, thanks for reconnecting, it happens. Hope you have a great time out there turkey hunting this year. I just was a little too busy this year to make it out in DE, and I wanted to give PA another year or two. I am planning on getting up there soon for some brush hogging, haven't been back since the spring trip. I think Mike and Steve have been to that spot in Morris, they said it was pretty good also. Take care and if you do see us up there don't hesitate to come over and say hi!
@whiterook85 Good Saturday evening Tom. I caught my first trout on a fly rod at Kettle Creek. We stayed on Rt.44 5 miles South of the Black Forest Inn. There was a lot of trout top feeding at Slate Run. We fished there in the afternoon on Thursday. Soon the fishing will come to an end, then deer 🦌 scouting and hunting kicks in ! Have a great weekend and weeks to come. Looking forward to your next video. Maybe one time we can sit down in Wellsboro over a beer or 2 with some CEEGARS !
Thank you, yes, she did enjoy it. I treat myself pretty good when I go up the cabin, so I'm making sure the Mrs. (and the cats) get their share too. Take care !
Great update Rook! Congratulations on the grandchild! The clover field is looking great! Remember how dry it was when you planted it? I knew it would grow in. Just took some time 👍
Thanks, we appreciate it. That clover is really doing well. I know you should trim it back when it starts to flower, but will let the deer do that for me.
I've been wondering about you . I kept waiting for a Memorial Day vid from the cabin . Anyways , sure glad to see you back and that all is well. Congrats on the new grandchild . I enjoyed those cam pics . I have to get back and check on mine at the farm. Been at least a month since I've been up there. Thanks for the update and looking forward to your next cabin trip. Until then stay safe and keep em RITP 's !!!
Thanks Ian, you can always drop me an email any time. You will have to get the cell cameras, it's pretty nice seeing the pics come in a few times a day. Enjoy when you head back up, sit on the deck and have a cold one for me. I don't think I RITPs this video, I have to work on it! Take care!
Tom, Congratulations to you and the Mrs on the birth of your grand child.Nice to hear from you.Have a great time if you make it up to the camp over the fourth of July. Will look forward to your video. The bucks will show up soon. All the best Tom.Your Friends From The Three Brothers Camp Pike County Pennsylvania Bob, Jack, Jeff
Noticed that also, I have the weather on my phone for my daughters area. Hopefully that pattern has broken and we can get some nice weather in. Thanks and take care!
Hope you doing well can't wait get into mountain in October November deer season if we don't get any rain 🌧️ there won't be no hunting season because of dry weather it won't be Long it be snowing again gotta check on My stand one Day make sure everything is still up running
Glad to see you Tom , totally get your feelings about the weather. We’ve had wild weather here in Australia too. My brother , son and I go trout fishing every year on queens birthday long weekend this year we couldn’t it’s been so horrible. Hopefully everything will settle down soon enough. Best wishes to you and yours 👍
Thanks for sharing, at least I know we aren't alone in our weather issues. One thing those streams need is just the right amount of water, not too high, not too low. Take care down there. PS I made a few radio contacts with Australia about 10, 000 miles away.
Good to hear from you. I've been missing in action too! Lol. Congratulations on the grandchild. A lot has happened since you and I spoke last. We'll have to catch up!
Also, if you have a lot of does and fawns around. They will stay close to that clover this time of the year and the does will keep the bucks away. That food will bring the bucks in to the does later this summer/early fall. Putting some cams deeper isn't a bad idea.
Well Mr.Rook just got from eating at Tonys.Told him you sent me. Well worth the 4 1/2 hour trip.Nice area around Wellsboro.Wifes been happy so far...lol
I hope it was worth the ride, but it is a pretty nice ride. Have done it a few times. There are some things to do around there, hope you hit the grand canyon, yeah, it's on the like the one out West, but it is pretty nice. Keep that wife happy!
@@whiterook85 Yes,the Pa. Grand Canyon was incredible.Might return for "Dickens".Well worth the ride. Also i would also congratulate you on your newly arrived grandchild.
Glad you enjoyed the trip, hope you had some fun and some good food. We haven't gone to Dickens since the season is in, but there are sure a lot of people that come for it. Thanks you, he is growing fast.
Ton Congratulations on your new grandson heading to our cabin this weekend to do some fishing leaving Friday morning have a great time if you get up to the cabin and have a great 4th of July !!!
In Michigan the bucks join bachelor groups, usually they hang out in bean fields. Crops are never far away but their patterns are predictable. That all changes in October, good to see you been relaxing.
Thought they were doing that, but figured I'd see a few here and there. There was only a couple taken off the mountain (that I know of last year), so there should be some good ones around.
Hello Tom, good to see a video, enjoyed it. The yard is looking great, congratulations on the new grandchild. You have some fantastic trail cam photos, hopefully some bucks will show, but perhaps they are staying in thicker cover. Can’t believe you can get IPA’s that cheap down there. What a score! LOL Have a good one Regards Mark
Glad you enjoyed, had to give an update since I think I missed at least two trips up there. Trail cams are doing good, nice pics of the all the wildlife up there. Those IPA's were a limited hit, but I grabbed a bunch of them. There normally have some different choices at that dollar price. Take care and enjoy a nice bowl for me.
Congratulations Tom sir, number five,we still on number 1,granddaughter. I am burning some burgers myself, a local Mennonite family's farm store, great burgers. Have a great June, until your July trip. God bless your new grandson.
Yes… this spring was rough. Horrible trout season for the first month. Feel horrible for the little stores and places up there that rely on trout season since the buck season tradition has been ruined.
Yes, was one of the worst for weather, normally we get the storms for a few days, but they pass. This just seemed like it was everyday. We did some shopping that the Tackle Shack, hope they are doing ok.
Yes, a whopping 1, check my last solo deer camp for the story and pics. PA (if you don't know) has a 3 point restriction. We have seen a lot of 4's, which we cant harvest. I go mostly for the camp life, take my share in DE, and also do the NC hunt in the fall. And thanks, all reports say he is growing like a weed!
Your game camera's must be taken down, that's part of the fun, here Nova Scotia year round. Oh, listened closer, salt gone,i hear now,we allowed apple and other bait during the season.
