I notice that they’ll see a street that says like “Washington Dr” or “Pennsylvania Ave” and it’ll throw them off, not realizing that many American cities name streets after states for grid mapping. Like naming them for Presidents.

@@gianrcarlo Even in the UK a lot of the time roads named after places are named after where they lead to, not where they are. if you see a city name on a road, you're near but probably not in that city.

It is kinda weird, since people from the DR make up nearly a quarter of all residents in the borough. I only know there's lots of Puerto Ricans and Dominicans in the Bronx because of The Bodega Boys, to be fair. :p

"Do they sponsor anyone?" Surprisingly, yes. A couple of speedway riders are sponsored by McDonalds. A sport you've likely never even heard of. Which makes it even stranger.

Speedway? That's what that's called in English?! I would've never guessed. Even though English is my first language, I've only ever seen speedway in the context of my Polish relatives watching it on tv and in Polish it's called "Żużel" which (I had to look up to find out) other than "Motorcycle Speedway" only means "Slag" as in ore/metal processing slag rock. I'm guessing cause of the gravel and dirt tracks speedway is done on?

@@cameroneridan4558 Very interesting! I knew it was huge in Poland but had never considered what it was called there. Yes "motorcycle speedway" in English but usually just "speedway" for short. But that's in British English. It honestly gets confusing around the world...

@@MH-hu5pi No, Boston doesn't have the elevated trains above the street like Chicago and parts of NYC do. Most Boston subway trains are below ground or street level.

@@winsingtoniii681 The Green Line used to have elevated trains back when my das was a kid in the fifties and sixties. He used to ride them with my grandmother. Now the elevated train tracks are gone cause of the big dig years ago so all that is underground now.

Fun Fact: Hawaii is an Island Arc that gets super close to Russia. The islands have been swallowed by the ocean from erosion but if you look at a topographical map, you can see the old Hawaiian islands.

Tons of places in America with large immigrant communities have businesses that cater specifically to them. That was a travel agency that also handled package shipments to the Dominican Republic.

I'm surprised they haven't noticed that the US color codes license plates based on the state the car is registered in. Several are white or mostly white background but NY is that dark yellow that I haven't seen used in other countries yet, at least not the same size the US uses.

Problem with the last one is that it's a massive tourist destination where all the signs are in English. Can't use the typical tells to even have a guess at the language. May I make a suggestion for future videos? Perhaps reveal the location after the final person has made their guess, that way we can get as much information as possible to have our own, internalised guessing games. kthxbye xoxox

As someone from Bulgaria i have to say nice try because that is a tourist spot and if you haven't been there you wont find it because we suck at advertising our tourist spots
