I lived in brampton for over 30 years......and the best decision of my life was leaving brampton! Crime ridden over crowded traffic nightmare of a city! Brampton was amazing in the 70s and 80s! And then the immigration boom happened.....and it went to hell! So glad I got the hell out!
Call it what it is...nothing to do with IMMIGRATION...its the People cultural background that have moved to Brampton...A cultural re- education on assimilating is desperately needed.
@@gervanmyers3066 that's racist......my comment is geared towards population increases and the infrastructure not being able to handle the huge demand that came with mass immigration! Why should anyone force another person to adopt a so called Christian based society belief that's just racist that is not assimilation!
In the 50 and 60s Canada use to bring in mainly European immigrants with similar culture to our own. Now we get a mix bag of immigrants from cultures that are not similar and they try to change our culture to there's. It does not work. I might sound racists but it's just the facts.
Born and raised in Waterloo ! KW is the fastest growing region in southern Ontario check the stats. We have so much land around us still available for new housing. Brampton has houses from border to border of there city. If you wanna place to grow a family you live in Waterloo/Kitchener you wanna party and get robbed live in Brampton
Brampton is an unnatural city. It is a collection of enormous subdivisions with ugly houses on tiny lots, surrounded by congested roadways, and strip malls all designed to provide Toronto with a place for its workers to sleep at night. Aside from a tiny historical district, there is nothing natural or organic about it’s geography or it’s growth. KW is a very historic area with several walkable downtown areas giving it a small city vibe. It’s growth has been relatively constant and sustained by local industry rather than as a “bedroom” community for a close by city. The layout and the geography has therefore evolved naturally rather than being designed by people looking to maximize profits per land area. The result is a sometimes quirky, but very easy city to get around. Within the e last 20 years, we have started to see the ugly mega subdivisions starting to grow in the periphery of the region.
KW is full of ignorant pickup truck drivers speeding on roads like they're outlaws. Anyone that lives near University residents will confirm first hand the Animal House like behavior that disrupts surrounding houses. Broken beer bottles on sidewalks and roads. Partying, loud music, and immature young adults screaming all hours of the night. Marijuana skunky smoke stinking up the whole neighborhood. No thanks KW !
Kitchener is the new Brampton. Conestoga college takes many Indian students charging triple in tuition fees. U of W takes Chinese students charging double in tuition fees. However, the Chinese students return home after getting their degrees while the Indian students do not. So I'd say either one really
Indian students don't come for study but to stay and settle here and they don't have another way to come to Canada and the only way is left is come as a student. Who is majority of them Punjabis. Because they feel more like home here why because they are everywhere in Canada even in parliament and in big government position. The government should bring immigrants equally in Canada so one race don't get more and become power to control. But liberal government is piece of shit and don't care.
@@Hazara26 Exactly Indians are everywhere in canada occupying all government and private companies positions.I wish they can also give Africans the same opportunities they give to Indians everytime
@@kizzbrizzy1874 one thing is true Indians are calm people and don't get involve in any kind of dispute. You tell them anything but they Don't retaliate and avoid any comfrontation. That is why they are successful. But one thing is bad about Indians they are money hungry. For money they will do anything. In the other hands majority of white people feel threaten by Black people and that is why they avoid them and don't want them among themselves. White people I think feel more comfortable with brown people than Black people. And other reason could be Indians and Chinese don't beat the drum about being victim of racism compare to Black people. And same goes for Muslims too. People avoid them too because they force their religion and their way of life on others. See I am not white guy and born in Muslim family. It is my observation I could be wrong.
@@Hazara26 you are exactly correct! The government loves obedient money hungry slaves who will always vote liberal because they are always reminded by the liberal party who brought them here! This is why the GTA will always be a liberal stronghold! If Canadians won't vote for em....then bring in the voters! And make em pay for their so called freedom! Welcome to Canada!
@@Hazara26 There is different kinds of Indians I would say 95% of them will not retaliate or get involve in any kind of dispute but you gotta watch out for those 5% they'll call the cops on you and get you arrested, The only reason Indian people are successful is cause that's all they came to this land to do. There main objective is to make more money by working hard, Where African people work hard at taking your hard earned money any way they could, two different mindsets that's the difference.
KW is silicone valley North. Low crime. Great for families best universities and great transport. Full time GO to union coming soon. Sooo many more positives for young families
I was born and raised in Kitchener, and worked for a few years in Brampton. While Brampton doesn't have a real 'downtown core' with an entertainment district (at least when I was there), but Kitchener's politicians are obsessed with making Kitchener into a big city. Almost all of the local famer's fields have been destroyed and had subdivisions built on them, and they are putting sky scrapers up downtown Kitchener and uptown Waterloo. It was a great city growing up, but now I can't wait to leave. We built a light rail for $3B that was supposed to connect St. Jacobs to south Cambridge, but it won't be done until 2032 ish. They told us it was for us to be 'Green', while it turns out that it was more to attract developers to the Region. Our Region also spent $300K on traffic barrels to make big and busy artery roads from four lanes down to two for the entire summer, so the ten or so people who ride bikes to work would be happy, while all other commuters doubled their traffic commute times, and then gave the barrels to the company they hired to distribute them.
@@Philosophy824 Waterloo is still small and a fractions of the size of Brampton, and doesn't have rush hour congestion problems. For me, yes, Waterloo is better.
Dont move to Kitchener Waterloo. Our infrastructure is lagging behind our growth and house prices are getting crazy. It would be nice if my kids could someday be home owners. All I see is Peel Region plate covers. Stay in Brampton. Thanks
Yeah because people are buying drivers license and not going through the proper channel of getting their license the right way, running up insurance premiums that is why people are moving away the government needs shut down these so call driving school . Insurance is too high in brampton.
It's a perspective thing guys.. For the Indian it's al abt work work work and Indian food. Whereas its different for the financially comfortable white man.. And it's OK.. In the end we die
Brampton changed a lot already. So many crime happening, car insurance is high if your address is in Brampton. I'll recommend Kitchener/Waterloo. Good University too.
There are plenty of affordable and suitable cities in Ontario to move to outside of the GTA. See London, Windsor, Sarnia, Thunder Bay etc. I'm from Toronto but have lived in Kitchener-Waterloo for the last 7 years since I went to the University of Waterloo. KW has become fairly diverse even since I moved here, good schools, some startups, a new-ish LRT and it's quite walkable for the most part. For the last couple years I have worked just outside Brampton but I still live in KW. Brampton is a dump and it has been that way for years... Brampton itself is just an endless sprawl of strip malls and ugly subdivisions. Public transit is sorely lacking and it's completely impossible to walk anywhere. Now they're having issues with crime and of course there's the spectacle of car accidents.
Brampton is a driving death trap. The drivers are unaware and they do really dangerous stuff. They get into the passing lanes of our highways and drive soooo SLOW. They change lanes with ZERO regard of other cars and there are SOOOO many accidents. Its a driving nightmare.
How about the highest crime rate in Canada per capita is in Brampton. Lowest property value in greater Toronto area. English is a second language in Brampton. The worst drivers in Canada are located in Brampton, consisting of modified vehicles involving loud mufflers, bass thumping stereos, particularly during all hours of the night. Brampton is actually the most un pleasant city to live in Ontario, Canada. The highest auto and home insurance premiums are targeted toward Brampton residents. Both elementary and high school students in Brampton average the lowest grades among any urban cities within Ontario. Home break-ins and car thefts are also the highest in Brampton versus other cities in Ontario, and Canada. Over the past few years, there has also been significant controversy and wrong doings among Brampton's elected officials and at City Hall. William Osler Hospital has also demonstrated to to be problematic, involving sub standard health care and of recent a male employee sexually harassing/ assaulting unsuspecting and vulnerable females. If you are a newcomer to Canada seeking a safe community, consider Alberta, Saskatchewan, or North West Territories for a far more prosperous future in Canada.
I will take K-W, Cambridge, Brantford, Guelph area anytime over Brampton. I hate to live in a ghetto. First advise I gave to my nephew when he immigrated to Canada, any place except Brampton. Luckily he took my advice.
@@Salahdiator i almsot got into a fight with a jamaican dude near old bus terminal one night while drinking after coming home from a concert, no lie bro. He had it wrapped in a zhers bag 🤣 could have been a bb gun, i really dont know
@@dannyk847 I'm an Indian but Indian people's knowledge have extended about Canada now. We know Kitchener Waterloo, London, Brantford, Sarnia, Windsor, Oshwa, Ottawa, Ste Sault Marie, Scarborough, Peterborough, Kingston etc.
There are better and less expensive places in the GTA to live than in Brampton. Brampton's home prices are nearly just as high as Toronto's so one is better either living in Toronto or somewhere else within the GTA if they work in the GTA.
Waterloo is a student ghetto. That’s what it’s become. Kitchener is actually growing in the right direction. It’ll take another 5 to 10 years for businesses to follow our growth. I grew up in Waterloo but now live in Kitchener. Kitchener has transformed itself. Waterloo has deformed itself. Brampton? Oh my…
@@chrisfournier6144 That's true Kitchener has some nice areas, it's really the downtown and the low life's that hang out there that sucks. In Waterloo the new student housing built right on the sidewalk looks bad.
@@mckessa17 Haha! I live downtown! It used to really suck but all of the development is changing this very quickly. The price of real estate is pushing gentrification at warp speed. We need businesses to move in and make it a vibrant community now. We now have a very nice grocery store back in the core, we’re moving in the right direction. As for the hobos, they do seem to be a downtown phenomenon. As more gentrification takes hold they too will have to pretty up! Waterloo sadly has become a mono- culture driven by post secondary education, much of it foreign students. This has obliterated Waterloo’s home grown character. Which is too bad. They call it progress!
It depends on what type of jobs. Brampton's specialty is warehousing and logistics and distribution type stuff. But as for corporate jobs and stuff like that there aren't many opportunities to be honest and you'd have to look elsewhere like Mississauga or especially Toronto.
IT Guys , just get home in brampton. 100k to 150 k jobs in toronto . K-W area is okay for insurance IT jobs, But salary is 60-70k only . BUt as of now the Brampton townhomes starts from 1.1 million . Detach now is 1.7 mil +, Same I guess is now in K-W or may be 100k less. SO yes housing cost is issue in both cities. New Condos in brampton for new commers can be considered. As for lot of comments about brampton hate. They are history now. They may move out. The 21st cenetury econamy & jobs are here to stay in GTA . Any one earning 30 dollar or less may not able to afford to stay in both the areas as it is unaffortable
Iam sick off brampton ont.city has worst people with high crime rate. Traffic has worst in last 20 years. Trucks every.you these wrong calls On cell phone.
