It is almost always obvious that bees are in a structure by the constant comings and goings of the field bees in search of food near the entrance of the hive. However, what is not so obvious is the location of the hive itself. This video is about one such hive. For weeks I had seen 4 or 5 bees flying from the same spot that I had removed 3 swarms from. I just assumed they were new scout bees, or bees that had gotten left behind. Every time I checked the location, there was nothing to indicate there was a hive present, just some wayward, lost bees........wrong. I finally removed part of the siding from the house and saw the comb. It was not much comb, and I assumed it was just the beginning of the hive....wrong again.
