My theory is that each new generation sees the pros of the time and decide that to go pro they need to be better than them to do so. Think about it from the 80's/90's through to now and you'll be able to paint a picture of what I mean. Eg Reynolds had to be better than those before him, as did P-Rod, as did Yuto and now these lil dudes...

Awesome skating, quite something and he is riiight on the edge of losing that little kid style that some skaters never fully lose (aka he will have sum steez soon!). And he is likely humble and understands good sportsmanship, because the japanese in general hold honour in the highest regard. : )

This is the reason why skateboarding is a progressive sport. What would have been an ender in a vid 20 years ago are tricks these kids do warming up. Their consistency is mind blowing. If he's got these tricks in a his back pocket, and can skate under pressure, he'd be a contender for podium placings at contests for sure.
