Osaka Taco has vegan tacos, also with vegan cheese. On the same street maybe 2 blocks away is a place that has Vegan Takoyaki. You make it yourself while you are standing around the bar. They swap the octopus for shiitake and use a vegan mayo and batter.
What a great video. Perfect editing, beautiful visuals, melodic music, incredible quality cinematography, and such a kind host. Thank you for this I hope it gets the millions of views it deserves
Thank you so much for the recommendations. Here's a suggestion for you since you said you want vegan Takoyaki. There's a South Indian vegan dish called "Paddu". It's made with fermented rice flour batter and a lot of vegetables eaten with a coconut chutney.
Haha thanks - I have been able to eat delicious vegan food all over the world so I would definitely recommend trying it. I'm happy to hear you subscribed, it means a lot!
@@veganlyy There's lots of (maybe even more) delicious vegan food in Tokyo I'm sure. I haven't been there in 6 years, but I hope to go back next spring. Have a great trip!
Awesome video! Thank you so much. I’ll be visiting a couple of the restaurants you mentioned this week. Looking forward to it, especially the okonomiyaki & sushi 🍣 🤤
I love your videos thank you so much they’re wonderful. I would love to know what are the ingredients that make up that great looking vegan meat.❤I’d like to know what is in each one of them and are they different one to another. This is some of the best vegan food I’ve seen in the world. And I love the fact that it’s so conscientious to serve something that is a good amount of protein. Often vegan restaurant I’d like you could just forget about the protein and overtime this will not lead to a good place. The Japanese from what I’ve seen in a very large amount of fish and they’re very healthy.
Great list! Thanks so much heading over there In June and needed some good vegan recommendations! Also vegan takoyaki is super easy to make so 100% get a pan ordered and home make if you missed out while over there aha
I didn't make a reservation for any of these restaurants actually, but I went to Osaka a few weeks after Japan officially re-opened for tourism so it might not have been as busy
thank you for the nice guide. mentioning this apocalyptic trash overpriced indian canteen food restaurant as a recommendation gave serious doubts about your sanity, but the rest seems nice. -)
I've had ovo-vegetarian takoyaki .... back home. A bag of frozen ones in a Japanese food store that I've heated in the microwave oven. I'm afraid that those are the only vegetarian takoyaki that I'll ever have.
