You want to start a subscription box, but you’re missing the one key component and that is your box.
The Most Common Question I receive is “where do you get your custom boxes from”. So I’m making this video. so if someone asks me this, I am going to direct them here.
Now believe it or not it’s not as simple as, find the cheapest supplier and go with them. I’m going to take you through what you have to consider when it comes to your box supplier.
Now I have changed up my box supplier throughout the years. I’ve done a local supplier, I’ve done a kind of middle man supplier and I’ve gone directly to an overseas supplier.
I’ll share my own experiences, but ultimately it’s going to be up to you to choose the best route for where you are in your business, especially cash flow wise.

Hi there, you mentioned its obvious that you wouldn't share the details of your overseas supplier. Maybe its not obvious for me, but how come? You made great points and great content, but the majority of your followers would want this piece of information.

Because I use them for many other products I create too. If other people knew my supplier they could just copy me. So I keep that information secret :-) It's like if Gymshark just let you know who their supplier was. Then every other competing company would use the same supplier and copy. It's fairly easy to go on alibaba and find your own supplier.

Sad to see a local business small business owner not supporting local small businesses and buying from overseas. Cost is important, but so is our economy.

@@tinkertable1977 We literally support multiple small businesses every month by 1. Including their products in our box each month and 2. Providing training and resources through our product to help them grow their business. I would actually argue we do more than most other businesses to help our local Aussie entrepreneurs 🙌

The boxes are just way too expensive locally when you’re doing as much as we are. We save way more going overseas. As a business owner you have to make the right financial decisions to keep your business afloat and profitable. Lots of local small businesses buy supplies from overseas. By going overseas for the packaging we have more budget to spend on products in the box and also keep our product affordable for our members who are small business owners. ☺️

In a similar business (magazine) I printed 1000pc for $3k+ locally in year 1. Year 2 the same quality magazines were printed in China for $13k including shipping. Its a no brainer to print overseas and was the difference between being in the red or black.
