I lived through a profound experience that opened my eyes to human behavior in a disaster. I was in San Francisco in the 1989 earthquake. Listen, it won't matter where you are when a world level catastrophic event happens. People in Kuala Lumpur will panic as well. The panic reaction of people is more dangerous than the event itself. Find space, away from population, water, shelter, food. Allow yourself time and space for the rest of the world to go through what it is going to go through. You don't want to be involved in any of that.
I live in KL. Let say if nuclear war happens in my lifetime, I will go to the nearest Mosque to perform my final prayer to repent to Allah(Islamic God) and ask forgiveness to all my sins beforehand. I will just accept whatever happened afterwards eventhough I will be freaking out as hell.
Unfortunately, the risk of WW3 is very high. In fact, some people think it already started: If you read the history of WW2, at the very beginning it was like it is now.
Yea china and Russia are gearing up. There’s no realistic scenario that could occur for them to suddenly stop their whole method of being for this roller coaster to not end up where it’s currently headed to.
Yeah no one’s going to give a shit about fiat currency or probably even gold. That whole “water will be the most valuable currency” will really come to fruition.
This all assumes that there are enough pilots that give a shit about you rather than themselves where they fly themselves and their families to safety. Relying on other people for your own survival is not a good plan.
Agree, if you have a pilots licence and access to an aircraft, you’re just taking your family out immediately, possibly close friend if there’s room. This scenario a stranger with a wad full of cash, will only matter if there’s room and that person is there
You are correct. People that can't see what's coming or mocking this are just the typical fools who say, "This cant happen here". Better end up in the southern hemisphere when this goes down. Because it is coming.
If it is a “All Guns (nukes) Blazing “ the radiation will be so bad you will live the rest of your life underground Since most of the world’s population is north of the Tropic of Capricorn the best place is southern Argentina and Chile
So long, as Russia and Ukraine are going at it, stay out of NATO/Europe. Contact your leaders, and tell them to bring a cease fire/peace., and do not attack the interior of Russia. Great Show. Have a great weekend.
Scott Ritter (don't care what you think of him) proved that if you disagree with Americas war plans or position, you are a prisoner. "Papers please and Thank you" .Sounds so polite, doesn't it?
Some of these commenters seem to think, "Well if a nuke touches here, I'll be instantaneously inside a plane"....like they'll click their heels, turn around 3 times, and INSTANTLY *SPAWN* 25,000 feet inside an airbus.
We are in the mountains of Xela, Guatemala…feel safe here, but not really sure we’d actually want to live through a nuclear war, anywhere. The world would be a very ugly place.
When a nuclear war happens, you'd want to go underground and be shielded from the radiation and fallout as much as possible. This is the opposite of say, a great flood engulfing the entire world, that's when you need to go up as high as possible.
Happy Friday :) I should have stayed in Chile. Now back in London but at least it be over in a flash. Honestly, if it actually happens we are all done for. Takes 26 minutes for inter ballistic missiles from Russia to reach the US. The only places in the Southen hemisphere like Chile, Australia /NZ etc isn't necessarily going to protect you from nuclear winter. Better to live in the present and just enjoy every day as much as possible but that most likely means being outside the West for many of us.
What is the most important? Health. What is the most important for our health? Clean air. I really like Kuala Lumpur but it is not a good place to live for longer than a few weeks every year as the air quality there is really bad
I agree! I’ve been researching the air quality in potential places I’d like to live, and it has surprised me how much of the world has nasty air. Seriously, more people need to be taking it into consideration.
Thanks for your advice. I can't even dream of being a potential customer but I am benefiting for the free information and insights anyways. Please know what you do is appreciated even if not always profitable.
When considering a country likely to be removed from any nuclear war scenario, you also need to consider the ability to produce food and hopefully also petroleum to allow the continued production of food on s sufficient scale. We believe we have found the closest ideal location that meets these requitements - and that is Colombia where we have lived now for almost 6 years in a country town very close to Medellin. There are many more good things we could say about Colombia, but you need to visit to assess for yourselves.
Ecuador is food, water & energy self-sufficient too. I'm moving there in September. Have heard great things abt Colombia outisde of Medellin. Obviously, Andrew likes Bogota. I prefer Ecuador because it's a more moderate climate, it has coastline & and it's not a member of NATO.
if a nuclear war happens, the only place to go is underground, where you are shielded from the radiation and nuclear fallout. All these talks about moving to another country and where to move, are really moot and horrifyingly lack of knowledge, even common sense - I'm no scientist or physicist, but even I know by instinct that I have to go underground (ok maybe playing Fallout 4 attributed a bit to that) and wait out the fallout. Everyone is really overthinking this nuclear war scenario. Heck even if you have no underground bunker, just move to the basement with doors and windows sealed shut tight gives you a better chance of surviving, then to collect your belongings, rush to the airport, hoping to catch a flight, land in another country/island/dinghy where you presumed safe.
@kenhew4641 I agree with ur point. Obviously it's too late to go anywhere once it starts. I'm at retirement age so I'm proactively moving to Southern Hemisphere. I want a food/energy/water self sufficient country because I believe worldwide shipping will be disrupted. Either by another virus event or by geopolitics. Also, I foresee climate events disrupting growing seasons & causing food shortages. I think any nuclear bombs will be selectively used. Of course all bets are off if everything goes nuclear worldwide.
Keep 2 Other things in Mind. If You go to an Island or Other place that Relies on Food and Supplies being Shipped in, you’re TOAST! Also, look at the Weather Patterns of your Destination, Because the Radiation Fallout Will get to those Areas!
I really think the most valuable thing NC offers consistently is the advice to open your eyes, consider the possibilities, and be proactive in your approach to your own future. Many thanks as always!
Politico?!?! Really? We get the point, but what's next... the National Enquirer? You do know that you are far safer from alien abduction or invasion by moving away from the English speaking countries! LOL
I think it is prudent to have at least 3 plans. Stay, or Leave option 1, and leave option 2. Especially the "leaving" part i.e. make sure you have passport, know how to get air ticket or boat ticket, have some gold and silver with you in case. And as you correctly pointed out, have at least 2 bank accounts, I would argue 3 minimum, and at least one online. Move the money quickly (if need be) pack all you need and leave. If you have a good plan in place you can be gone, or at destination in 24 hours or less.
I really enjoyed your video! Could you possibly create a future video focusing on the cleanest countries to live in, considering the growing environmental concerns like the incident in East Palestine, Ohio? I have family there and am trying to persuade them to move, but they’re deeply rooted in their hometown. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the cleanest countries to live in, given the widespread pollution issues.
72 minutes.... You will get much more notice than that. There will be a ramp-up in the sabre-rattling. The trick is to recognize it for what it will become.
The sabres are already being rattled. Biden is allowing US weapons to attack inside Russia and Putin wants to send warships to Cuba. Macron is sending troops to Ukraine. Britain, France, and I believe Germany are rampng up the draft.
Just like the people from Hiroshima and Nagasaki received a notice, oh wait they had already surrendered and the US still bombed them to warn the rest of the world of their newfound power
The ability to homeschool is also an important factor for many at least myself and others I have spoken to. Where I am now May be one of the easiest countries in the world for homeschooling.
some countries are already in war or involve or getting their citizen rip off by taxation. I move to a neutral country to live off grid. have a YT channel and living the best years of my life.
Humans are hardwired to survive, plus I’m bloody minded and I won’t give up and I suspect some people like you will be trying to take my stuff to survive, however I will enjoy stopping you! 😁
@user-zm6qj9cz7b not in any way that affects ordinary citizens. There's a fantastic video 2 weeks ago on 'Kris and Mike' yt channel called "Ecuador News Update." The areas of difficulty in Ecuaodr are extremely specific and he shows detailed maps of exactly where they are. If u stay away from them, Ecuador super safe. He gives an excellent, thoughtful summary of data & stats.
@user-zm6qj9cz7b not in any way that affects ordinary citizens. The problematic areas are highly specific & a quite small percentage of the country. This video gives a comprehensive & detailed summary of those areas. It's on 'Kris and Mike' yt channel, 2 weeks ago called "Ecuador Headline News."
I'm in Kuala Lumpur now. I live in a back room of an office building where I can hear code-switched Malay/Chinese/English/Tamil conversations all day long. Go where you're treated weirdest
Can you please speak about plans to people that are from Egypt and want to move to a better place? Considering middle class people that due to currency devaluation cannot afford programs like paying $100k to buy passport.
@@blueskies5588 too much radiation the world will puke lava, the air will be full of debris to absorb some radiation. long winter ahead. northern land uninhabitable.
I finally started reading this guy's book. It's been sitting on my shelf for a year. Prior to reading the book, I was looking into the possibility of going to KL Malaysia. I've heard it's a good option for someone like me. We have a 6 figure retirement income, but I'll probably have to pay US tax on it no matter where I go.
It's great to hear that you're finally diving into the book! Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is indeed a popular option for many expatriates. While you may still need to pay US taxes on your retirement income, living in Malaysia can offer a lower cost of living and an enjoyable lifestyle. I have a poor man's version to share that I call ANTHEM for At Noon, Town Hall, Emergency Message. All towns and cities have one. Have your destination objectives planned in advance. Then all people in your group know where to go. Along the way you use the ANTHEM system. You meet at the town hall at noon, or sun highest in the sky if no way to tell time, and you wait there as long as you wish before moving on to the next place along the way to the destination. Leave an emergency message there for people following you. This system allows for different separate groups to follow routes to their destinations even if they are on foot. The war in the Ukraine is what prompted me to come up with this concept. Lots of people got separated there as they escaped, and it was very chaotic. Have a system in advance to make that situation far less stressful--even if needing the plan is unlikely.
Fantastic book. Listened to it on audible and it definitely gives a great perspective on how the launch of even 1 missile will likely spiral into nuclear Armageddon.
New Zealand. Remote. Southern hemisphere. No nukes. Not a target. Self sufficient in food. Hydroelectric & geothermal energy available. Speak English (more or less ha ha.) Don't wait 'til it's too late. Plan now.
@@ekanata Didn't you hear? There's been a change of Government. The new NZ Government is at the opposite extreme politically. The new PM Chris Luxon makes Donald Trump look "woke." They've even canceled the previous Governments tobacco restrictions. Ha ha
I am from Bogotá and split my time between Spain and Bogotá. I have both Spanish and Colombian residency. I'm looking to obtain residency in a country with lower taxes. I was considering Dubai city, but I'm unsure if the Middle East would be a safe option in the event of a global conflict, and I don't like the heat. Would you recommend Panama City instead?
All it takes is a human to make a mistake. Then automatic responses take over. Depending on how many missles are allowed to be released, will determine if anyone survives as nuclear winter could darken the Earth for years making growing food extremely difficult. My vote for best country to be in is New Zealand.
My counterargument to using smaller benign countries as a hedge against Armageddon scenario is that although you will probably not be inside of the kaboom, but things will quickly deteriorate everywhere after kaboom and you will likely be in the situation where locals won't be as pleasant to foreigners as they are currently, especially if foreigners are visually or ideologically different. The worst of human nature will bubble up to the top in such moments.
this is assuming air travel is still open, wouldn't the pilots return to their loved ones? we need people to fuel, ATC, ground crew, if nuclear war really does start society collapses, unless you have a dedicated pilot who puts his job before family
In it's memoirs, Palestine-born Berlin-raised German-Jewish refugee English Historian Eric Hobsbawm recalls buying flights out of London to Buenos Aires when the "Cuba Missile Crisis" escalated...
LOL being serious for a moment if you’re far enough away from ground zero, but are near the tail end of the blast wave and in a building stay away from doors and windows and go to the corner of the room for you best chance of survival. Though ideally take Nomad Capitalist advice and be somewhere else.
Surprise Nuclear war is one of those scenarios so apocalyptic and unlikely that my plan is a botte of fine rum. In the case of a very expected nuclear exchange with months of notice like a heated climax near the end of WW3 where one side becomes cornered however that is a entirely different situation where I can go to a cheap out of the way neutral country in South America and get set up to ride out the end of the world in a Jungle cabin in case one side refuses to surrender.
The narcissist's who are running this nightmare; unhinged, patriarchy and they don't care about anyone else!!! Only, being: Powerful, Rich, Freedom for their lawless character and Corruption 😮 I already buried my own Mother, 3 years ago, coming up.. Nothing else, matters 😢💯💔🙏
Don't need to read a book for details on Nuclear conflict. Some Nuclear country feels threatened, presses button and the party is on. Duck and Cover ain't going to help in this situation. Duck and Cover may be the least effective for any situation.
