Better social connection, lower cost of living, more fun, friendlier girls, better dating life, better social life, better mental health, etc. Most expats who leave America never want to come back. I am an immigrant from South East Asia, i first moved to the U.K and loved it, but deep inside i knew that the U.S.A is where i wanted to be, the freedom, the nostalgia, the American dream. Once i came here, i felt that this is where i belonged, i love the U.S and what it stands for, i felt that the U.S was a proud nation when i came here. But something has changed since then, i sensed something was wrong, i noticed that more and more young people are starting to hate their own country, the division seemed more and more noticeable, race and color became more of a weapon, the pride of being an American is dwindling litle by little. Communism/socialism, vilification of law enforcement, wokeness, gender misindentification was forced on the throat of people, right became left and vice versa. This is not the America that i used to watch on T.V and read on books, sure there were setbacks but not like this, this is a different U.S.A, we are destroying ourselves, identity politics are helping destroy this great nation! But i still believe that all of us Americans will rise and build this country once again, i will do my part as a citizen, and teach my children the values, hardwork, pride and patriotism that the United States of America deserves.

With all due respect you are speaking from an immigrant perspective. You are on the outside looking in. So your opinion ain’t worth much on this topic. 6 generation of my family has lived through some horrible times in the country so tell when race and color wasn’t a weapon?

@@tecumseh4095 This is the real problem, the culture that people were raised in, victimhood, helplessness, we have to fight by working hard, strive for growth, you cannot control what other people think and do, but you can control yourself,act like how you want to be treated, sometimes i feel that i am more American than some Americans that have been here for generations, because some people does not know or realize what we have here! I do appreciate what the founding Americans did, is it all right, NO, but it paved the way for all of us, we need to learn from the past to have a better future, as an immigrant i can see the whole picture, and i don’t like where the U.S is at right now, but i will do my part to make it better and i hope you do your part too!

@SeatBill
@SeatBill 3 года назад
From my perspective, the #1 issue I'd have with Portugal is the fact that it's a part of the EU - which I consider one of the most corrupt, anti-individual, anti-personal freedom organizations on the planet! Thank God the Brits finally figured that out, and got the hell OUT of it when they did! Other than that, I'd say Portugal would be a great viable option..... but that EU thing is too much for me!
@KJ-bc3de
@KJ-bc3de 3 года назад
@@SeatBill This is true. The entire west is on a decline though. Instead of looking at countries as First world, or third world, its best to look at them as "descending" vs "ascending". Balaji Srinivasan talks about this, its brilliant. The US , and other western places are in decline, and have already peaked or topped out. Others are on the rise, like Singapore, India. etc
@SeatBill
@SeatBill 3 года назад
@@KJ-bc3de I would instead say that Western CULTURES - in SOME areas - are in decline; not so much countries themselves. President Trump was able to completely turn the American economy around, DURING A WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC, and put people back to work; it was the actions of the other party that stymied those efforts. Culturally, Western civilization isn't healthy because it's not being taught to Western students and young people anymore; not because it's bad in and of itself. Fix THAT problem, and you fix a lot of OTHER problems affecting the West right now! Great Britain regained its' sovereignty (and much of its' national identity) by leaving the EU; not because its' culture is hopelessly flawed (although they still continue to have problems with immigration, etc.). Singapore, India, and other countries are advancing because they are adopting more and more free markets into their societies; it's not so much a cultural thing, as it is an economic/individual rights thing. The same things that make America so powerful, can do the same for other countries; WITHOUT them having to give up their cultural identities! I for one have GREAT respect for India, and what it's been able to accomplish; which, to me, seems to be based a whole lot on bringing people out of poverty, and allowing them to flourish economically. I don't believe in "nation-building," and I dislike that phrase (and the thinking behind it); I think instead that if countries want to advance, they have to promote the ideas - whether they're from Western civ, or not - of individual rights, and free markets. Look at Hong Kong (and look at what's happened to them, once China started REMOVING those things from them)! Look at South Korea! As an American, I don't want everyone else to become LIKE America; I want everyone else to be as SUCCESSFUL as America, if they can.... and that's based on our Founding principles; not on "which civilization is better than another."
@KJ-bc3de
@KJ-bc3de 3 года назад
@@SeatBill well said. That's exactly what I mean, it's about individual freedoms and liberties. The US is to invasive and cannot reverse they're stance now as they are too far gone. They became so controlling and fixated on being the best at all costs that they forgot what made them great in the first place. It has left smaller or less developped nations to begin stepping in, see what america did wrong and avoid those mistakes but copy the good parts
@SeatBill
@SeatBill 3 года назад
@@KJ-bc3de I think you're wrong about what drives America's problems right now; people around the world make a very simple mistake - they think ALL Americans think about, is being #1 in everything! That's the biggest crock other countries try to convince themselves of! Let me tell you something: the average American could give a flying flip whether or not we're No. 1! Americans care about letting me live my life as I see fit; as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else! We care about keeping as much of the money we make in our pockets. We care about our families, good jobs, good schools, and the chance for our kids to make something of themselves! And we've discovered (at least half our population, that is) that the way to get there, is to have strong individual rights, small government, and free markets. *The OTHER half in our country - the morons and idiots in charge right now - think that groups are more important than individuals, that freedom is overrated, that government needs to be big so that it can take care of everyone (whether they want it, or not), and that free markets are unfair somehow - JUST for being free markets!* I think, mostly because of all of that.... it's possible that America will likely fracture at some point in the next 50 years or so; "blue" states will continue this slide into ineffectiveness they're on as the USA; while "red" states will decide enough is enough; and break off into a new entity; a separate Republic. Whether that will happen peacefully, or not... I honestly don't know. Clearly, if it DOES happen - it will hopefully happen peacefully. But we've already been through something like this before, about 150 years ago - and over 600,000 people died in the process. So, I don't know. But I sense that, with each passing year, America is slowly turning into two nations; and is veering away from being one. What that will mean for the rest of the world is anyone's guess; but, trust me - Americans are FAR more concerned about those trends here in the States, than we are about who's nipping at our toes on the world stage! Remember: Donald Trump was elected in part because he didn't WANT to get into foreign wars and conflicts, and wanted to focus on fixing America.....and, for that, over 65 million people voted for him! Some people think he got 75 million votes in 2020; so, his beliefs and policies weren't out of the mainstream here at ALL! When you consider that fact, in a country of 330 million people; doesn't that indicate what things and trends Americans REALLY care about?

As a forward visioned individual that understands America, for a long time now, has been a country neither by the people nor FOR the people (with extra emphasis on the latter), with its erosion of morals, and values, not only happening now; but has been systematically brewing for YEARS. Combined with over taxation w/ improper congressional tax APPLICATION, a work til you die system, infinite agenda's being peddled, dishonest media, etc... Why would it not only be PLAUSIBLE that many would like to leave, but quite the OBVIOUS exodus. If only Americans knew... that from a COMFORT level, there are a myriad of countries with the exact same comforts we enjoy in America. That are SAFER, CHEAPER, and in many cases dare I say BETTER! @@User-n5w3e Sadly know one appears to want to visit or live in the USA except the DROSS of every nation that are pouring over your borders and that constant factor and fear doesn't make or have any appeal to the mass of tourists. The mass European Migration of the late 1800/ early 1900s where descent hardworking and wealthy tradesmen and business men who where running from ethnic persecution. Unlike it is today for the USA & Europe, these modern migrants appear to be purely economic, drug run or Islam maniacs. The mind set is totally different and sadly mixed cultures don't alway blend well together know matter how much we would like them too. In this modern age Islam and Christianity don't appear to be mixing well, which is why some European countries like Hungary, Poland, Holland are point blank refusing them entry, full stop ! and due to the unrest every where more European countries appear to be following suit. It sad for all the other true followers of Islam that just want to live in peace, but then don't we all want the same.

My husband and I moved to Mexico upon retirement a year and a half ago. It’s nice here but the constant rise in the expat population from Canada and the US (particularly west coast states) is raising prices sharply. We moved here because of economic reasons. We are not wealthy Americans. The wealthy are moving here with a lot of money to spend and are messing with the economy. Native Mexican’s are being forced out by the higher cost of living…believe me, they resent it.

My grandma (94) can’t talked about it without crying like a little baby to this day. I dream one day to go to where my grandma lived. There's so many factors being left out of the conversation. Experts working in the field have said that we will have an EMP, it's not "if" but it's "when". You have to consider that you may even be stranded on your drive to whatever state you want to move to. I believe the most important thing is to have a local community that you can count on in a crisis and make sure you have a good Sheriff. The Sheriff will have more power than any Governor when everything hit's the fan.I've traveled in about 20 countries and yes, there are countries where I find it more pleasant than America, however, this conversation is mainly for elites. If you believe one word of the Bible believe this, we are in the end times. A majority of the population of the world will be killed. It's not just pleasantries like good weather etc. to consider. There's going to be natural disasters, political upheavels, food shortages, plagues, wars and a multitude of factors that have to be considered. The most important fact is to understand is where does God want you. Our journey is actually a spiritual one. You could step off a curb anywhere in the world and get hit by a car today and your journey's over. I was targeted at a US University brutally for being a Christian because I would not reiterate their transgender unscientific political agendas. I also lived with Moslims for 14 years overseas and in the US.I never was treated as badly as I was here in my own country at a university for my Christian beliefs. I went to South Africa twice and put in paperwork to start the process to move my family there. When Mandela died the whole government changed and my repatriation changed as well because of new government regulations. I had to come back to America. I was doing mission trips to other countries and planned to stay in Haiti but because of circumstances I had come back to the US. There's still a living God and it's best to check in with Him to see where He wants you. It may not be where you want to be however it's for the work that He wants you to do. The only eternal thing is souls. He wants you to bring souls with you to heaven.That really is the only important thing.

You all have valid points. We’ve been in a bizarre decline in many aspects for quite some time. The “ woke” have infiltrated academia which is another very polite way of saying “communists”. We are backpedaling in time back to the segregation days aswell. The fabricated racial tension is designs by the “commies” to keep division at our forefront so that all the “control policies are warranted by the people. A very well thought out plan by governmentto have the people request their rights be taken away because they need more protection from x y or z Namely “gun control” or should I say “people control”. It’s no secret once all civilian armament is taken away and their mindset they’ve been pushing for decades comes to flourish “CONTROL” is the only game in town. It has happened all throughout history in ever single communist country. That is also why academia is trying to rewrite history and books. BUT..... what do we do? Lay down? Let all that our families, all that our ancestors fought for, die? OR Do we ORGANIZE like they have for years. Organize and rise to the occasion that has been presented to this country many times in the past. And every time we have succeeded. Revolution. Civil war. War of 1812. WW1. WW2. Let’s unite as fellow Americans with one common goal! FREEDOM! Many steps need to be taken to secure our place in history as the people who almost fell but because of AMERICAN SPIRIT WERE ABLE TO SUCCEED IN RETAINING FREEDOM. I for one will never allow my children to be slaves of any government. I’m open to all suggestions that will move the idea of freedom forward. It won’t be easy. But ask the colonialists if it was easy to leave the only land they ever knew with their families and embark on voyages half way around the world, to a land that hey had only faintly heard of. In 1700’s ship technology that would take weeks to arrive if they did. Then get here and start literally from scratch. The answer is No it was not easy. But FREEDOM is not easy and it is well damn worth fighting for.

There will be no other place to go, a crippled and elderly veteran who cannot compete in the sort of labor environment in a world where the US is gone, the dollar gone, banks shuttered, poor nations will be struggling to survive with subsistence agricultural based economies you will not be able to get jobs in. Even if you could it would not pay you anything more than a meal or two a day. Mercantilist economies will reel and fall because they will have nobody they can sell to because everyone will be broke. Life will go back to being very primitive of 95% of all people everywhere. It will be a lot like russia in the wake of the failure of the USSR, people still went to work though they went months and years without any pay, they prostituted and bartered and stole. There are always going to be that 5% at the top that were ready for it, have secure compounds with solar power and high tech security. Mostly they will not want to flaunt wealth though as it will get you killed. The most free states in the world are Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland. America is a flawed democracy with satisfactory press freedom, and mostly free economic liberties. It is better than most of the world, but far from being the shining example. Australia, Norway, Netherlands, Germany are all more free, just to name a few. America is a victim of its own success. It is because of all the reasons that Pat loves America why it is NOT the best country in the world. It is so enterprising to the point that it becomes toxic. The dollar has become more important than the constitution. America's economic magnitude is much greater than its quality of life and freedom. This is because Americans judge the success of their country based on economic strength on the one hand and democratic PRINCIPLEs on the other hand. Americans NEVER quantify or qualify standard of living. They NEVER quantify or qualify freedom. They simply use mantras as you do to justify America's place in the world. The things that Americans do quantify and qualify are not the things that affect the lives of everyday Americans. Things like having the reserve currency of the world, having the largest military, being the largest economy etc. Countries without these things have better standards of living. It is dangerous to confuse outcomes with principles. In principle America is the greatest country. In principle Google is a shining example for human rights and freedoms. Didn't they say "Don't be evil" In principle? America is the only country that judges it standard of living with its constitution. My advise to Americans is not to lose the arrogance first and foremost. It is to priorities OUTCOMES ABOVE PRINCIPLES.

@AnonymousTraveler-ze2vm the world has continued to underestimated us. That is alot of money, but it's only controlled by people. People who've never worked a hard day in the sun, survived in struggle and chaos while choosing which bills to pay or not to pay this week. Dealing with failure and adversity and overcoming it all isn't something the people trying to take over are familiar with. That's just the tip of the iceberg. All the angry parents who are tired of children being kidnapped, trafficked and tortured would love to find the filthy elites responsible. Their are 2 different worlds people live in, and unfortunately for the rich, once their money can no longer save them, they're stuck in our world.

Easy, Africa. Africa is always being underestimated and I’ve already invested in homes in the North. I truly believe America is in a Roman styled decline. It didn’t need to happen, it was 100% preventable. Greed drove the hollowing out of the Midwest for example, and I do not see that ever reversing. It is a sin what businesses and the government combined have done.

The one thing that needs to change in South Africa wherei live is the corruption in government. An American lawyer once came to SA to do a lecture for us and he said he imagined SA very differently because of what he saw on american television he thought that everyone lived in huts and that there were only black people who lived here so he was shocked to see how beautiful the county is and the diversity of race, religion and culture.

In just a few months in Florida, I realized how many freedoms NY had taken away from it's people. Guns, income taxes and a bunch more. After I had a real taste of freedom, I wanted more and voted Libertarian in 08. It took me YEARS to finally leave, but in 2017, I moved to Guatemala. There are much better places than the US, which saddens me to say. You see, Empires never get better. And I've been to Kenya many times, the weather is perfect for me. In London at least, it seems like a lot of us complain about the weather. It literally rains every week, even in summer it rains like every other week. Y'all native Scandinavians are like the kings of cold. I think if we do a survey in uk, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany. A lot of us would say we prefer warm weather. Eastern Europeans & Scandinavians seem to crave the cold.

Some of us may not have a choice and will have to leave America because the cost of living is getting ridiculous. Health insurance is a great example. Our deductible and premiums are super high, our medications are pricey and we constantly have to pay more out of pocket for things insurance doesn't cover. Don't even get me started on the cost of college, taxes, and real estate.

chile and uruguay are some of the best countries to live in the world for upper class people from canada and the united states, because are they provide really favourable tax schemes for newcomers and i quite sure that people form vancouver engage more with people from santiago then with people from charleston, wv .if you wanna move to Ireland or new zealand and get a favourable tax scheme you need to invest in the upwards of millions of dollars.

Pat talks too much. He thinks he knows everything and when asked he can’t answer it simply. They didn’t a chance the right person to answer. He needs a reminder. This is why Joe doesn’t rate him and didn’t invite him despite trying hard to impress him and even making multiple videos related to Joe Rogan.

For the vast majority of people I think it would be pretty hard to just pick up and leave. Obtain citizenship (somehow) learn local laws, language, get a job there etc.. There are millions or billions of people around the around who want to immigrant to better countries yet very few get the chance. I think its smart to have options though, but you gotta be realist.

This is the "war on covid". It follows a similar pattern to the war on drugs and war on terror. The ulterior motives for these wars are a crackdown on civil liberties and further enrichment and empowerment for the ruling class. Florida stopped mask mandates and business restrictions months ago and they have been fine. Sweden never did any lockdowns or masks. North Dakota passed a bill banning mask mandates stating, "our state is not a prison camp". But yet the federal government, CDC and media keep promoting the "war on covid". Pop star Pitbull admits covid is a h-0-a-x to bring in communism on RU-vid. His family fled communism in Cuba. Elon Musk made similar comments and explains how hospitals are labeling other deaths as covid deaths to receive government stimulus. And the government is working with big tech to censor anyone online against the covid agenda. And label anything against the agenda "disinformation". And they are crafting new anti-protest laws. Only 15 days to flatten the curve remember?

We all don’t. Rooted identity is nationalism. Nationalism is an identified evil outcome equal to racism in the apparent best seller, “How to Argue With a Racist” as indicated in the ‘liner notes’ of the book. The war on America is a war against rooted identity and any form of affluence above comfortable poverty. Comfortable poverty and collective identity (the opposite of rooted identity) are ideas evaluated and developed by Marx and his 1st gen followers.

The title of this video for one is a red flag for anarchy & fuel for other radical activist. This Man knows exactly what he’s doing to attract viewers but in a way that brings fear like the media. Liberal Radicals Are suffering from mental illness at a level of insanity. It’s videos like this that program the youth to believe everything they hear & see because of lack of education. This video is a guide to where to move” if” America Fails. Why would we allow our nation to “fail”. We know how to solve the solution but others are not wise enough to figure it out. The problem is not abandoning America but fixing it from the inside out using the nation as a united front. The creator of this video should be ashamed of himself. He is not giving hope for America but giving solutions to flee. He is a coward & anyone with this mindset of abadoning their nation because of lack of change is a just as worse as Benedict Arnold. We obviously see your not educated on foreign policies or communism. This is the only nation where we still have the power to create anything we please in democracy & he is saying abandon that. He is a damn coward.

When I went to live in Riyadh, 11:19 Saudi Arabia in 1999, I was 48 years old and just retired after 20 years in the Air Force Reserve. Suddenly we had a really good income, I didn’t have to work, but I wasn’t free. Couldn’t drive, couldn’t roller skate nor ride a bike in the city. I had everything I wanted except my freedom, suddenly I was miserable because I was not free. I wish every American who complained about the US could have experienced what I did for 2 years. After 911 I got back into the USAF reserve, our flag is the most beautiful in the whole world to me.

I agree with Patrick except for the part about Dubai. You gotta understand so many Americans who travel outside of America aren't looking for tacky American copycats. We need legit places where there's a great culture, ease of doing business, and great weather. That's why Dubai attracts low-wage workers from southeast Asia who are building their middle classes back in their home countries. So I'd steer away from countries where they're so desperate for American expats but on paper, it's a hassle because their economies are built on 3rd world cockiness. Don't think for a sec that Americans are the only cocky people in the world Pat. I say that as an immigrant too.
