Who else has a 64 but watched anyway?

My top 5 N64 games 1. Loz Majoras Mask 2. Loz Ocarina of Time 3. Paper Mario 64 4. Super Mario 64 5. Diddy Kong Racing

I remember I bought a N64 Game, but had no N64 at that moment. On my way home I saw a Garagesale and there was a Boy selling his N64 (pikachu special Edition) with a bunch of (good) games for a nice price.

The real reason to get an N64 is to play the WCW and WWF wrestling games. :D

At last someone who likes the N64 controller. It’s far from perfect, but a very interesting and quite confortable controller IMO. Today it depends a lot on the analog stick’s condition, unfortunately. There are ways of repairing it but it’s not easy.

NFL Blitz 2000 is the sports game for both fans and non fans. Also definitely pick up Sin and Punishment. It's Japan only but absolutely worth it.

Is the N64 region locked?

My advice is if you recently got an N64, first thing to do is buy RARE Games. Second thing to do is buy RARE Games Third thing to do is buy RAREWARE Games. Considering these games will NEVER be available in any N64 Classic, unless if you already have an XBox One system and have RARE Replay, getting these games in their original form though more expensive, it is worth the effort in the end. Then there are the Mario games, Zelda Ocarina and Majora's Mask as well as the Pokemon Stadium games that are must haves. Then any game you are personally into, I would also highly recommend Snowboard Kids 1 and 2 from Atlus games as well as Konami's International Superstar Soccer series to see where Pro Evolution came from and back when Konami used to be awesome, it would be worth wild getting some Mystical Ninja Goemon and even the Castlevania games on the N64 even if they were so bad they were on AVGN in a classic episode from the Angry Video Game Nerd.

To be honest, not too many of the games have aged well and some of them were given better remakes. Heck, just play the Zelda games and Star Fox on the 3DS; they run at a more consistent frame-rate above the 20s. The only N64 games I can think of that newbie can comfortably get into these days: 1- Mario Party 2&3 (MP1 has those dreaded rotation minigames. Besides, the MP2 clone minigames manage to be better anyways.) 2- Paper Mario 3- Super Smash Bros. 4- Diddy Kong Racing Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark are great; but there control scheme is a tad bit on the archaic side (lack of true dual stick).

Get Mystical Ninja staring Goemon.

but honestly, the mario kart for n64 is pretty crap (yes that is an opinion) and getting a 3ds + mario 64, zelda OOT and mario kart 7/DS would probably be the better choice for most people

If you’re a Star Wars fan get Shadows of the Empire. I’d love to play Pokémon Stadium but emulating the transfer pak is complex. Pokémon Snap I enjoyed.

Don't. Emulate It. More than any other system Emulate it. If you didn't grow up with that God awful controller you will hate it with a passion

Start at the NES then go to SNES skip on over to Gamecube and proceed.

Sony did not 'win out in the end'. Far from it. Add up all the Nintendo sales of NES, SNES, Game boy and N64 from that decade and Sony are nowhere close. Also the N64 is not almost 20 years old, its well over that. Nearly 30 years old!

I love the 64 Awesome Video! I changed all normal sticks with the gamecube stick We can even play Mario Party 1 with rotating games It works so good!

I think they should start making them again, it's not going to happen because it is 24 yrs old but it should still.

While not all of the games are perfect, I believe that my main takeaway from the N64 was the fantastic soundtracks all the games had. Mario 64, Jet Force Gemini, Crusin' World, Perfect Dark, Pokémon Stadium, TWINE, the list goes on. I remember the N64 for it's music, first and foremost. The games, dispite most being of equal quality, typically come second.

The N64 controller is my favorite of all controllers. Most other controllers look like they were designed by humans.

My cousin just gave me a n64 with 4 brand new controllers :) I’m excited to get games

Steel 64?! Finally! Worth a watch just to find out about that.

As for me the N64 is good for pokemon stadium 1 and 2 games that also trade with the first 2 generations of pokemon, they offer a battle frontier like benefit to those games. The other titles many of them got either remake on newer systems such as 3ds and also virtual console on wiiu is good to play those games on that tablet controller. For the controller, if you don't like it, get the hori version which is great. Last comes the portable mods of the system and I would like to build one myself and make it appear like a very large gameboy color with a gameboy color slot for those pokemon stadium games.

The controller is pretty comfortable, too bad the stick goes bad. I don't understand the current hate on it, since as a 5yr old I know how to use it.

Trust me this console can be a pain in the ass. But if you got enough money to spend i would highly recommand it.

Man I was a cool kid for having the PlayStation but it's kind of shame I never owned Ocarina of time till much later, at first when I played N64 games at my friend's house, I found them boring(except super smash Bros) but later I realised how fun they are. Nice video.

No Perfect Dark?

I need to whip out my 64 again.

I love me some Golden Eye 007 (the only FPS I can enjoy), Kirby 64 and Smash Bros aside from some of the games you mentioned. I figured there really are just a handful of games I really liked on the N64. Kinda disappointed honestly considering how much hyped I was when getting to play one as a child. Well, I did play the hell out of the games I enjoyed and even now, when I play 3ds before my Pokemon Ultra Moon save file got currupted, I played the hell out of Pokemon and the other games rarely which is why I own very few 3ds games.

This system defined my early childhood, there are so many great games for it.

I personally prefer star wars episode 1 racer on Dreamcast as opposed to n64 (partially due to controller ergonomics).
