You could also also hack your snes classic to add more games even from other systems! It's also as easy now to do it as hacking a psp by just connecting it to a PC via USB and adding a few files on it and of course, games

very very easy to mod and play whatever games you'd like on it. Chrono Trigger doesn't come with the bundle and it is an absolute must. Added bonus of being able to add non-SNES games too. I play a lot of gameboy advance on mine.

I use my original Snes with HD Retrovision's Component Cables. It converts the RGB signal into a Y Pb Pr that our American TVs can take. I have played it on both my CRT and my HD TV and the Snes through Component is outstanding. No modding, no expensive ass ossc or framemeister. Just plug and go. That is the best bang for your buck solution. It does output at 240p still so your HD TV may not except it but my 2 do and it looks outstanding as opposed to the Composite Mess. The Monster S Video cable makea it look pretty good as well but not as nice as the Component.

my friend gave me his SNES with a bunch of games which include all DK games, Mario Kart, Link to the Past OVP, Super Game Boy and Mario all star and much more. The only game I bought so far was Super Mario World, Black Hawk and Dr. Mario + Tetris. Still looking what is worth purchasing next. I played most I wanted on friends houses like completing Kirby Fun Park aka Super Star. I am not a Metroid fan so Super Metroid doesn't seem appealing. I own a Pal console so I may get certain games much cheaper.

Just get a Super NT if y'all want an SNES, it's the best offer. -It plays every known game as of far with no game breaking glitches (when they mean 100% compatibility they are serious) -No PAL and NTSC region locking -No 50/60hz speed issues -Free Flashcard (with jailbreak) -Free ROM and Game Save dumper (with Jailbreak) -Game Genie support -Improved audio -Free bundled exclusive game -Tons of video customization - Extremely sharp pixels -Zero Lag Doing all of these features on real hardware would cost you much more than a Framemeister and is all in one package. Just do it y'all OwO

Good vid. More of an "arcade" game player personally so my most favorite games are stuff like Super Punch Out, Contra 3, Ninja Warriors, UN Squadron, Hagane, R-Type 3, Wild Guns, MMX, Cybernator etc but I also love the (imo a bit overstated on the net) "classics" like Lttp, Chrono T etc. The 16-bit era is undoubtedly the most unique era in gaming history. Every system had completely different graphics (Gen/MD: Eastern anime art style, Snes: Western art style imo anyway), music&sound, controllers, game design philosophy (Sega vs Nintendo arcade gaming versus non-arcade oriented game design) and both offer a different experience overall (3 if you include the PC Engine), my favorite generation alongside the 6th for me. Going back into the past w/o nostalgia was one of the best choices related to gaming I've ever made.

The SNES was one of Nintendo's best; but unfortunately, some of its game were later ported or even remade for other systems (including the GBA). So yeah, here is my list of what games would be good to start on the SNES (not including the pre-loaded classic edition): Super Mario World Super Metroid Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past Chrono Trigger Kirby Super Star

man please dont compare the retron and the anologue nt again like that, the retron is literally just an emulator with a cartridge rom dumper hooked on. while the analogue nt is a near perfect hardware fpga clone. they're like the opposite from one another. one is the closest you can get without having an original snes, the other is literally a generic PC with an emulator and a cartidge reader

5Flux Exactly. Original hardware is great but it's aging fast and ridiculously expensive to buy all the games. It's really a scam at this point with the absurd prices of games now. Plus buying a CRT TV or modding your original console just adds more expenses. Emulation has come a long way and will only continue to improve. It's also great to see everything in nice crisp HD and save space.

One of my favorite consoles ever actually, even to this day, not only because of nostalgia but actually because of the huge amount of games that it has, since it was out for a pretty long time. It's a pretty interesting thing but, since the N64 was focused on 3D, a lot of sprite based games kept coming to the SNES. As it's notable that the N64 doesn't have a lot of 2D games, most of them were actually coming on the SNES, like fighting games and RPGs (which the N64 has barely none). I prefer 2D visuals than 3D honestly (at least in early and mid 90s games, after around the late 90s and early 2000s better looking 3D games were more common and some actually still look pretty nice nowadays), and the SNES has an interesting variety, while some of the earlier titles feel like "remaster" NES graphics (as in, they don't look too different, except for having more colors and details), later titles especially the ones released after the N64 was already released, look almost like they could be in a Sega Saturn or arcade game (while obviously not as detailed, a lot of them still look great for a SNES game). It helps that a lot of the games have aged better than a lot of N64 games, visually and gameplay-wise sometimes. And because fully sprite based 2D are still not too common nowadays, it makes these games stand out quite a lot and makes them more desirable for me, since they have such a distinct feel to them. (I didn't expect this comment to be this long, it was just supposed to be a few lines, but I just kept going and in honesty, probably could keep going as I can hardly shut up about things I'm so passionate about, which is probably annoying for anyone that isn't me). lol

5:26 Speaking of emulation, I've gotten a PSP recently, and the whole emulation thing was one of the main reasons why, and well, given how much good stuff I've heard about emulation on the system, I was honestly surprised at how poorly it handles SNES... When I turn off V-sync I can get it to play many games just fine, and they often keep at almost 60fps, with some rather severe frame-rate dips during screen-transitions which I can live with, I mean, it's not like I'm playing when the game is transitioning from one screen to another right? But if I ever need to pause the emulation, whenever I start it back up it goes down to less than 30fps, and the only way to get it back up to nearly 60 is to reload the game, which means I'll lose any unsaved progress, which is less than ideal for on-the-go gameplay... Add screen-tearing at all times and noticeable input lag on top of that (not to mention some games I like being incompatible) and I found SNES emulation on the PSP to be pretty crap... I guess it's worth mentioning that I have a PSP GO, not a regular old PSP model... It's especially surprising to me though how the PSP has no meaningful problems emulating systems which I'd have thought would be harder to emulate due to their more powerful CPUs, such as the Neo Geo, the Mega Drive and the Game Boy Advance, the latter in particular is baffling just how well it runs on the PSP, it's not perfect, but it's measurably better than using tempGBA on a DStwo flash cart, where the games run at 30fps at best, where I can often get 60 on the PSP... Oh well, I'm glad I got a PSP, it has a ton of rhythm games that I like a whole lot, and some real neat fighting games too, and it runs PS1 games better than any emulator I've ever tried, but I still want a decent SNES experience on-the-go, so I'll be getting a New 2DS XL whenever I manage to save up some cash again... Besides, I already wanted a New 2DS XL anyway so that I could upgrade from my old small 3DS and get the perks of both the New and the XL models~

And with its mode 7 scaling and rotation for 3d graphics, 4 layers of parrallax scrolling true transparacies! And 8 channel digital stereo sound! It was juat a great console! The Snes classic is great but it is only 720p and emulation, although it is official Snes emulation from Nintendo, it is still emulation, the Super Nt is FPGA and essentially isn't emulation, just like an original Snes and displays at 1080p with firmware that can play all the roms off SD perfectly for the most part, I have both I just prefer the Nt.

@jamieryan6991
@jamieryan6991 6 лет назад
Not through the SDcard no it can’t play any special chip games as of yet so you’d need the real cartridge or the SD2SNES flash cartridge to support it on the super NT
@wraithofwor1785
@wraithofwor1785 6 лет назад
Just like Jamie Ryan said, you can't as of yet through the SD slot but if you have the best of two worlds like i do with the SD2SNES for the handful of games that support that chip or if you have the actual cartridge the pros far outweigh the cons, especially in the visual department on modern displays and being able to tweek scanline intensity and zero lag.
