It may take an initiative by leagues like NHL to increase camera infrastructure in the arenas (which I believe exists already for replays) and from there, the teams would have to supply commentators as well as the stream to view games. We can't be too far off from it, like I said, the NHL has replay cameras in place, who operates the joystick and at what cost for the stream is probably getting hammered out. The toughest part is one night there's 17 games and next night 4, the next 8.

I seriously wish it was as easy as just subscribing to the team to get a simple stream with the radio broadcast audio overlayed on the video to do an AHLtv style system. You get every game, Every team, no blackouts, no missing games due to BS "Nationally televized games"

That is the direction we are heading, but I think (most) organizations aren't logistically ready or capable of offering their own in-house streaming services. We'll get there though, eventually.

@@jeremeymcdude The issue is the NHL isn't in the broadcasting or streaming business (yet) they are in the hockey business, which is why it is outsourced. I can see each team individually moving to their own streaming platform but not the entire league under 1 umbrella-type streaming platform.

I miss the good old days when all pro sports were broadcast on network tv for free. The NFL is, what’s wrong with these greedy other sports?!

Greed literally has nothing to do with it. Do you honestly have an antenna on your roof that allows you to watch network television (PBS, NBC, ABC, etc) at no cost?.....If no, you're paying for NFL games.....Comcast determined the majority of their customers have no interest in MN sports, so it makes no sense to charge their customers additional $20 a month for something they don't watch. It is going to be easier to acquire new customers @ $60 with NO Ballys than it will @ $80 a month with Ballys....It is that simple. Let's say you get to watch 80 games on Ballys, and Ballys costs $20 a month. That's $0.25 a game. Greedy?

Huge mess...founded by greed. Homie don't play any of that, I've got 2 different streaming websites (that I can't/won't share here) where I can watch any game I want. If you can deal with the pop-ups, it works great 🤓🤓🤓
