I would like to say thank you to you 4 gentlemen on the content you put out. I really enjoy every episode. Even tho I’m not a big collector anymore it’s great to see “real” love of the game people talk the hobby… and not try to promote an agenda.
I just got back into collecting, after 30 years. My LCS helped educate me on the "industry", and finish my Pete Rose Topps collection (except 65 PSA 6+, hint hint).
work at a card shop, usually find my cards there. or i go to a diff shop near my place that has no website/online presence. can find some nice cards there.
Love the content. There are a couple Korean forums/apps I am on for modern and 90s basketball. There are some sneaky good baseball cards I’ve been able to purchase from these forums. The shipping/taxes are tricky though. I’ve also heard of a couple Japanese forums/apps… but unfortunately I can’t read/write Japanese :D I’ve heard there’s a good variety of baseball (MLB vintage) cards in these Japanese forums
Jeff here: Just on my first submission to COMC. The best success I've had so far is the $4-$8 range of numbered cards or parallels -- cards that there aren't already 5-10 of on the site. Scott?
Chris here - I check every antique/thrift/pawn shop I come across and I’ve never found anything but way overpriced junk era stuff. ‘89 Fleer Griffeys for $100. Congrats on your finds!!
Is there a place you can go to list the cards on my want list? So many Braves SP's and variations that I never see come up for sale even with using the ebay search every day. These cards have to be somewhere.
Chris here - as a fellow sp/ssp Hunter I can tell you that there is no card tougher to track down than an image variation of a lesser name player. I don’t know where they are, but I’m guessing most got ignored or tossed aside. Good luck with your search!
Made some big deals lately. Cooked rgl on a shohei black refractor /10. Cooked him lol. Rgl is good people hooked me up 50% comps. Love all my timmy competors. Been mopping em up in auctions for years
@@SpitballinCards Nope didn't win that one Chris..But I did just make a play for a topps 52 Timmy rc auto red ink /52 ..also sold my royce Lewis flawless rpa for 300 to help fund it. Paid 50 for that royce Lewis. Still gotva royce Lewis flawless diamond 💎 rc for pc.. I like flawless baseball ⚾️ pajama product and all. The white simple background I like 👍
Scott you ever do a video on how to sell cards.on Comc....sounds interesting....I like sportlots for some cheap finds and pc cards...also card barrel for some cheap set fillers and low end pc cards.... thanks
So let me ask the 4 of you this, I don’t have never signed up to instagram or twitter. Is it worth it for buying or selling both vintage & modern or just groups like this on RU-vid? Thoughts from 4?
This is a question for Phil. I have a Commodore 64… circa 1992, but it’s “pack fresh,” as the kids like to say. What’s the best way to get it hooked up to the Facebook or the Instagram that you guys speak of? Do I need to get it connected to the “internet”??? Not sure if this is helpful, but I have a cassette of Frogger that takes about 6 1/2 minutes to load the game of the same name. Once that’s loaded, am I “online”? Do I need to reach a certain level before I’m online. (I can get about 10 boards in before I get into trouble…. The levels with the snakes really do me in.) Any help you can provide on the computing front would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I’ve gone so far as to respell names in the Search just to see what’s on eBay (for example, Eliot, Eliott & Elliot for Ezekiel) and since 99.9% of the time the item’s not for me, I’ll send a quick message, letting the seller know ‘hi, the name is Elliott not _____, hope this helps you get more eyes on the card’ and if that helps a seller sell, I see that as a nice thing to do :)
i missed a few sweet petes because the seller spelled his last name as Alonzo and not Alonso. once i relized the situation i made out like a fat cat on some sweet petes
Chris here - $140 seems like a lot when thee best card isn’t worth $5. I’d rather wait and buy the single cards I want But I do understand the thrill and excitement of ripping. There’s entertainment value that can’t be ignored. Thanks for watching!
Anyone starting to actually feeling really bad for Chris with pitchers, Acuna, now Betts? Chris please dont buy Soto or Elly those are my guys. Card shows, they can be hit or miss though.
Chris here - I appreciate that. Sorry to tell you that Soto was one of the last cards I bought. I think I’ll stop for awhile before I destroy the whole league.
@@SpitballinCards you guys are quick to put Soto in tank and there’s nothing wrong with him this seems much worse you say two months but. Some guys with same injury struggle with it their whole career. It just show the type of biased talk from people in the hobby looking out for there own interest. specifically Scott. Besides mookie is a choker in big spots who you going to send up bottom of the 9th in the World Series Soto or Betts not even close.
@@rickrudman Jeff here: who's putting Soto in the tank! Certainly not me and Chris. I love the guy and think he's the safest place to be in modern cards. Would love to see him get some more big postseason ABs this year! Thanks for watching!
@@rickrudman Chris here - most of collect all these players. If you check Scott’s IG, he’s got some big Soto cards. We’re all playing the game and freaking out on a daily basis it seems. I will say Betts has accomplished more than Soto has so far, but by the time Soto is Betts’ age, I’m guessing Soto will have passed him.
