Where Were You... When The Beatles First Visited the U.S. in 1964? 

I watched their debut on Ed Sullivan in February of 1964 BUT I saw their concert at Shea Stadium in August of 1965. "Saw" is the operative word because all the young girls screaming drowned out almost every song. It wasn't until last year that I saw and finally heard the entire concert via a post on YT. It was all very much worth it. Oh, the ticket price? It was $5.50 ! And for pretty good seats.

I was six years old at the time. I remember how excited my older brother and myself were to see the Beatles live on Ed Sullivan show. It changed my life in the way of music. It started my journey into many styles of music throughout the sixty's and seventies and still to this day. It was a absolute joy to be alive at that time.

I unfortunately don't remember that time because I was only 3 years old. But I do remember "discovering" them in the early 70's. Right when the Red and Blue albums came out. That's when my love for them began. Huge fan here.

I watched ed Sullivan show in 64 and also started a Beatles fan club in my city. I saw both Calif concerts at The Bowl and Dodgers Stadium. Also won a contest on KRLA and they called me at my home to a packed kitchen!

I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan TV show when I was 5 years old and it is what inspired me to start playing guitar.

Watched on Ed Sullivan. Friends attended the concert in Chicago. Had every record they made.

Feb.7, 1964 was the day before my tenth birthday. I remember watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show on our Admiral 27" black and white TV. Next day at school it was all the kids in school would talk about.

I was in the fifth grade when I saw their arrival on TV. My mother exclaimed, “Oh, they look like girls!” I had to sneak every album into the house and keep my record player on low volume.

Imagine being there and that witnessing magic moment in time...I wonder where some of those young girls in the photos are today and what they could tell us.

Grandma Jean called me in from the back yard to come in and watch this on TV. Your mom and I watched the Ed Sullivan show together!

That was a great time.

I was 11 years old when the Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. Life was never the same after that for many teenage and preteen girls, including me. Their timing was perfect. They took everyone's minds off of President Kennedy's assassination.

I would enjoy your videos if you would drop the pan and zoom. As an older person it makes me slightly dizzy and I can't ever see the entire picture before you move on so I have had to stop watching them. Just letting you know it is not always a good thing. I know i'm just one person but I always have to avoid pan and zoom youtube videos.
