Swahili is the mother of all languages in Southern African countries. Even my language (Venda) from south africa has many words similar to swahili, Even my surname is found in Kenya. Holla to Nigeria and all West Africa.
I would learn Swahili (because its the most spoken african language ) and one of the Nigerian languages ( because i like afrobeats it would be cool to vibe to songs that i understand ).
@@muragegitari6052Thank you.🙂 That's great if you want to learn Igbo language. Yes I am Igbo. Maybe I can suggest a RU-vid channel to you, where you can find some nice and comprehensive Igbo language lessons.
Swahili is bantu....swahili speakers kind of understand all zulu, all xosa, all east central and southern african languangues...we are so mutual inteligable
@@KS3_Samela You really are brain-dead aren't you? Zulu is a very young language. There was no language called Zulu till the advent of Shaka. Shaka consolidated most of the Royal houses of the time under the Zulu umbrella only recently in the late 1700's. Kiswahili was spoken loooooong before isiZulu was even conceptualised. Aw kahle mfethu this is so basic.
Swahili. Swahili is spoken in east and central and southern africa, now being taught in South African schools. Swahili is also spen in Yemen and Oman. If you've watched Lion King's movie, then you understand a bit of swahili. Eg. Rafiki (friend); hakuna matata (no worries); Pumba (foolish/stupid); Simba (lion); ...
1. Yuroba cos that language is both razz and sekzy at the same time, and also the fact that I love the yuroba culture, the partying 😂 2. Swahili cos I'd wanna relate and cohabitate with our east African brothers
I dont agree , there are some similar words but not many. if there were a lot of Swahili words in Zulu then i would be able to understand Swahili as a Zulu speaker.
@@nhlanhlathobela2175They are very similar, you might understand some because of pronunciation, and you might not also understand others because of again pronunciation, Swahili is 80% Bantu and 20% arab
I think Swahili should be made an African language. All nursery and primary schools in Africa should teach Swahili. Some countries have began it, which is good initiative
IMAGINE THE WHOLE OF AFRICA SPEAKING ONE LANGUAGE , APART FROM ENGLISH BUT OUR COLONIZERS HAVE SEPERATED US USING DIFFERENT LANGUAGES TO CREATE BARRIERS AMONGST OURSELVES ..IF YOU WANT TO SURVIVE IN AFRICA AND THE REST OF THE WORLD YOU NEED TO LEARN ARABIC, FRENCH ,ENGLISH, SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE
We can change that! Im Ethiopian living in Uganda and in 2024 the government has made schools to teach Swahili , which I think is a very good thing. In Ethiopia it's started in the universities hopefully they will start from Nursery
Amharic is only African country with it's own writting system (Ge'ez alphabets), so by choosing to learn Amharic you are signifiying and recognizing African history and you're own intelect.
@@emariusrush7704 tell him also there's professor of Swahili...and in different universities in the world there's Swahili course..very important thing about Swahili language is being ahead of many African languages due to its integration and learning facilities like Swahili books from nursery to university!
Let’s all Africans use Swahili as means of communication,,,stop saying I know English more than you,,English is not our language,,colonizers makes us Africans to learn their language so that they can take good things from us after we makes them understand about particular things through their language 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
