1:27 - My understanding is that the type of airbrush you show is siphon-fed. Gravity-fed would have the cup on top and gravity feeds the paint. I very well could be wrong. 1:43 - "It doesn't have a needle in it", then proceeds to show the needle. Its placement may be different, but it's still a needle.

I purchased two European Body Art Zero G systems. They are very different from the Ibotta guns. They have an easy adjustment for flow and no needle. I have done some shows and fairs and I really like them. Once this pandemic is over in the US, I'm going to traveling with a carnival and setting up a booth. So now I want to learn as much as I can about technique. Thank you for your videos!

Great video, everyday is a school day! I never thought of sliding the "needle" backwards on my Paasche H - I'll try that👍✌️😊 The H is a good workhorse and easy to live with (but it's a syphon feed not a gravity feed - a slip of the tongue😊✌️👍). It's also an external mix airbrush, although technically speaking even an internal mix airbrush, isn't quite, but that's splitting hairs. Most Double Action airbrushes are internal mix and can deliver better atomisation than external mix single action airbrushes (which iirc, use the venture effect). Double Action airbrushes are good for detail work in terms of certain types of art or model making and some brands are easier to clean than others. Some, such as the top end Iwatas with a tiny 0.18 needle/nozzle are very expensive and very fiddly, fragile - but they deliver great results, I think Creos do a version too. A better bet, although the trigger action may not be quite as good are the Harder and Steenbeck Evolution or Infinity airbrushes (about a third of the price of an equivalent Iwata), but for acrylics etc I'd avoid the 0.15 nozzle/needle sets and go for, at the very least, a 0.2 or 0.4 set up - I'd also go for their CR Plus finish too. H&S are easy to clean - if more fragile than a Paasche H - their colour cups unscrew for better cleaning and variation of sizes, all come apart, mostly, without tools (soft jawed pliers are always useful for all airbrushes as is a dab of glycerine on threads etc). There is a reasonably priced alternative to Iwata and H&S, any of the Paasche Double Action airbrushes, Eg the Millennium or the similar VL. Not as easy to clean as a Paasche H but, not too difficult, robust needles and nozzles down to about 0.5 too. Sometimes quality control of finish can be and issue but Paasche are as tough and long lived as old boots, workhorses as opposed to out and out thoroughbreds imho. Sparmax made products for Iwata and are very good (I've three of them for specific jobs), they also made brands like Premi-Air iirc, Iwata now own Sparmax. Iwata have also made their nozzles easier to clean and handle but they're still very fine and side cup models can be awkward to clean. Plus they do need basic tools to take them apart. But for day to day use a Paasche H and/or a Millennium (one spanner required to undo the nozzle/airhead) are used as a, cost effective product, easy to live with, relatively cheap parts etc, by T-Shirt artists and modellers alike. In the US they're very cheap in the UK less so, but there's always offers and represent good value for money - also the one off blister pack versions, if a set is not required, are, as you say, very well priced Eg a Paasche H at £50. I'm very careful with my Sparmax and H&S airbrushes but even I get caught out as the needles are very fine for detail work - don't ask how many times I've stabbed myself with one🤕🙄😄 My Paasches are my first port of call though, they speed up the job and can be handled and cleaned quickly avoiding the use of rattle cans etc. They're pretty robust for an absent minded clumsy guy like me🙄😳🤕😄 Horses for courses👍😊😊✌️

I have the central pneumatic quick change air brush. It's not working well. I'm not sure why. Ill try again with it later. I also got a cheap single action brush (came with a cheapie compressor from eBay.com) that worked well for a week before it broke. The compressor works well still. I have got a bigger lunchbox style compressor now and connected my central pneumatic quick change to it, but it seems like I need to think my paint bcuz it's not sucking the paint up, the better compressor I bought came with a side feed gun and it's not working either. Idk what to do.

What ink are you using? Sometimes the ink might be too thick & needs a bit of surgical spirit/ rubbing alcohol adding to it. Just squirt it in & stir. Then test.

@@Toytatu I also recommend the Paasche H theyre so easy to live with, with the three nozzle set all bases are covered - little to no tip dry or clogging. I don't know about inks, but most paints require thinning ✌️😊 👍

@@LearnAirbrushTattoos I'm from Lithuania. This business model is becoming more and more popular here. New painters appear every year. Anyway, it's still profitable. It would be interesting to test this business in other countries. I’m thinking about Germany next year. What do you think about it? Btw, are there a lot of temporary tattoo painters in UK festivals? I like your videos 🤟
