After thinking it over, I’m starting to think that Monger had always wanted to set the monster team free, It shows just how close he was with the detainees (specifically B.O.B.) by attending his birthday party and raising him from infancy according to the Netflix shorts. So now that there was an actual crisis outside the governments control, he actually leaped into the board room with a full presentation of his monsters. Then even after he fulfilled his end of the deal with their freedom, he told them of how much it affected him as their warden with a salute before accessing them boarding to the ship, even when it risked his life in the process. For a War Monger this dude was a Hero

General W. R. Monger is a character and a half. He can't cry because he lost his tear ducts in the war, he oversees area- I shouldn't say its name, and LITERALLY ALWAYS wears a Parachute. I wouldn't doubt that at any time you see him, he has enough firepower on his person to overthrow a small nation singlehandedly.

Ah, both TF2 and SCP converging once more. Wherever I go, when I find one the other is there as well. Sometimes clashing, sometimes bonding, these two seem to be inseparable. Drawn together by unseen forces... Two fates, intertwined, their legacies at hand. Fuck, I gotta stop rewatching Phantom Blood.

This is the first movie i had ever seen in a theater when i was about 6 years old. W.R. Monger was my favorite character, and ive loved the "military-man" persona in films ever since.
