The time and detail that goes into planning and filming your videos is greatly appreciated. Those who do no produce content (like me!) are unaware of the countless hours of preparation and editing that goes into each video. As soon as I started this (and some other videos of yours), I immediately subbed. Like you, I really plan a great deal, to the point of analysis paralysis. Definite not a "wing it' type of person! We have been on many cruises, and pick longer ones that see many ports, which is our reason for travel.

When researching cruises, prices fluctuate. Cruise Watch www.cruisewatch.com/ is a site that helps you track prices before and after you book. Cruise lines will often price match if prices go down after booking. Prices for the cruises listed in this video are a snapshot in time AND are per person for the entire sailing (not per day as I typed…oops😊).

Tracy Arm Fjord IS a glacier viewing day! You view the Sawyer glacier. (Carnival Cruise). Also, cabin prices are per person for the ENTIRE CRUISE..... text on some lines read "Per Day"! We love Holland America for Alaska because their main pool area is covered during cold weather, so it's always warm there! They have long stays at all ports on many itineraries. You can choose to leave out of Seattle or Vancouver on HAL. Also, they have the largest selections of land tours for their one-way cruises of all the cruise lines. There is even a 28 day cruise above the arctic circle for the summer solstice! That one is on my bucket list.

Hi! I love your video. I will go to alaska cruise in august in celebrity edge. I hope i enjoy..because celebrity not go to glaciar bay. We are a couple. Next time we will do princess. Celebrity is very expensive too. I hope service will be on top! Thank you for de vídeo. Very helful.

My wife and I will be cruising Alaska in June 2025 on Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas. Stops include Ketchikan, Juneau, Sitka, Endicott Arms and Dawes Glacier and Victoria BC. We are Diamond members and primarily sail with Royal. Thank you for your comparison.

June is a great time to go to Alaska. I haven’t tried Royal Caribbean yet, but I know it is a fan favorite. With your Diamond membership, I KNOW you love it. Thanks for the video - great information. The prices you have shown, are just basic fare. The actual total price is higher. You did not mention taxes, fees & port expenses per cabin. As well daily gratuities (also called service charges) will also apply - can be prepaid, but will be charged onboard to each passenger. So, for newbies in cruising, this would be helpful to know. As I am loyal to Norwegian, this is my choice, but not July (peak season). I have already booked 9 day Alaska in October - much cheaper and less crowded.

I was going for the best apples to apples comparison, but I definitely could have mentioned the fact that the prices did not include taxes, fees, port expenses, and gratuities. If you choose Princess to Alaska, pay attention to which ship you are on. For example, the majestic princess has the *enclosed* Hollywood conservatory at the bow. If your cruise visits glacier bay during the early shoulder season, being inside for the view may be desirable (not as cold, windy, rainy). On the other hand, if you're a spa person going in the middle of summer you might prefer one of the other ships that has a nicer spa area on the bow. Not discussed in this video, for families, consider Disney. I am by no means a Disney fan, but they do know how to entertain guests of all ages and they haul an iceberg up on deck for the kids to touch.

Thanks, David for the additional things to consider. I sailed on Majestic Princess earlier this year, and I agree the Hollywood Conservatory would be a lovely place to see Alaska. Last year we went mid July 😂 on HAL Koningsdam. This year we are going the same time on Sapphire Princess northbound one way with three days to visit Denali. We had a great time on HAL. You’ll love it 😍

June will be our first cruise to Alaska and first time on Princess. 14 days. Mini Suite with Premier Package. Royal Princess. We chose Princess to try the Medallion class service and the itinerary. Primarily the dates had to include our 25th anniversary date.

My wife and I have a 10-day round trip out of Vancouver aboard Sapphire Princess coming up in early Sept. We enjoy Princess as a cruise line for many of the reasons you have outlined. Our last was on the Majestic here in Australia. We have also sailed the Grand and the Ruby out of San Francisco & LA. Do you know the Sapphire Princess ship, is it relatively new and well laid out and the other question I have - as I enjoy visiting the casino during the evenings after dinner/ shows, are the casinos open on Alaskan cruises as I read somewhere that in US waters they are unable to operate? Is this correct? Thanks for the time and effort you put into videos. I have found them very informative.

Hi Stephen. I am also scheduled to go on the Sapphire Princess this summer in July. The ship was built in 2004 and refurbished in 2019. From what I have read the ship is in good condition and is a good value with Princess's yummy food, great entertainment, and activities. I look forward to sailing on her. My soon to be co-inlaws are cruising on her leaving on the 25th of May and my brother the following week. I'll give an updated reply after they all are back on June 17. Regarding the casino. It should be open when it is in open water. I am certain that Princess will take advantage of every opportunity to open up for gambling and shopping. Thank you for the kudos on the time and effort; just like great cruising, they don't just happen. Happy sailing!

NCL also does not dock in Ketchikan, rather Ward Cove, so add in the time to get on the shuttle and time on the shuttle...

Grand Princess is an older ship (inaugural cruise 1998) that was refurbished in 2019. I love that you are doing a round trip out of San Pedro especially if that means you do not have to fly. Because it is an older ship, it will undoubtedly show signs of age, but that won’t stop the fun. Princess always has great food and service. You’ll have a great time.

I am in my 60's and really enjoy Carnival in the off months (while kids are in school). It's vacation and I enjoy the fun atmosphere. I have found NCL, RCL, and Princess to be a little stuffy at times.
