I bought the 500 and other than being a little slow on the start, I like it a lot so far. It's been very useful has enough power for my needs, it is not a speed demon but does well.
Info: The 500 and 700 are direct clones of the the Yamaha Rhino 660. The 700 Axis, hisun, etc. engine is a near direct copy of the Yamaha 660 engine, but with the bore and stroke of the 686 (700) Yamaha engine. These machines have improvements over the original Yamaha design, including wheel disk brakes.
My friend is planning to buy the Axis 700 so I'm just checking out videos, thanks for posting this video. I'm surprised the HP on the Axis is so low at 29.7 seeing as it's a Yamaha clone. I have a Yamaha Viking 700 and it's HP is 46.9 and I've needed ALL of the 46.9 hp when trail riding. Your top speed is comparable to the Viking, but I wonder if Axis is lower geared (in low) to compensate for the lower HP. Overall, the Axis appears to be a good option if you're on a limited budget. I will say, though, the Yamaha Viking is a damn good UTV. I bought mine new in 2015 for 10,900 and have put it to the test and it just gets it done. Extremely reliable and durable.
I've got a new bighorn 550 with the nitrogen shocks and it is definitely a better ride.. very smooth ride.. the 750 has a wider stance also.. I believe. I know my bighorn 550 is 64" wide .. and 35 HP.. I looked hard at the axis 700.. but found the 550 bighorn was more powerful.. these 550's just came out this year.. I like the 700 axis.. My bighorn was 11999.. very much worth it.. lots of extras like the 700. The 700 was my second choice..
I bought the 700 in red and so far it's been great! Also bought a plow@ full enclosure so I should have some fun with it this winter! Overall very pleased with it!
