Hi man, I am looking for a ball machine that shoot balls with random frequency. Can you help me? It seems like there is no ball machine that delivers balls with random intervals

Tretorn micro X, green and white, pressureless. Never worry about mixing balls, especially on mixed/public courts. Thank you for sharing your research and insights.

@@natestenniscomeback1486 No, my point was that by using the two coloured pressureless, you're not mixing with other balls on the courts.I bought the Slinger for my wife, did a little research on pressureless balls after watching your video.

I use Wilson triniti in my slinger bag, which I got recently cant give you a comparison though as I have always used them, in a match /practice/training session with another person I have played with Wilson US Open tour. I am a beginner/intermediate 43 year old player and havent in my limited experience felt any difference between the two on how they play. Since Slinger recommends getting the Triniti balls I went with their recommendation as the price difference between a case of Triniti vs. regular balls was under $10. I liked your suggestion of not mixing balls will try and avoid that. Thanks for the videos.

I use mostly Tretorn Micro X; but I intentionally mixed in used regular pressure balls, which I think mimics real playing experience, as the balls will come out with different spins and angles, make my foot work more.

Nice vid, also did you mean to say pressureless balls feel hard instead of flat? (0:30) I use babolat gold academy balls which are pressureless balls in my SlingerBag but I think that's whats caused my shoulder injury due to them being so hard
@natestenniscomeback1486
@natestenniscomeback1486 Год назад
Hard for me to say if that’s what caused it. Normally i juries like that or things like tennis elbow and really because of technique. But the wrong equipment (balls in this case) could for sure contribute to it

I use slinger bag about 15-20 times per month for about 60 minutes at a time. Around 200-400 shots depending on what is being trained. I cant do pressureless due to arm having to absorb the energy at contact, it costs more to use pressurized balls but thats okay. I use Penn Extra Duty, around 2.09 per can. Lasts around 2-3 months before I have to swap out the balls. I only use around 40 balls at a time in my bag, so when swapping balls, I open around 13-14 cans.

Sorry for the late question, but if you’re only feeding the machine about 40 balls each round, won’t that only give you between 3 and 10 minutes of practice before having to reload? What is the ball rate at which you set your machine?

Friends,, use flat balls (old) could damage the machine? or is only a matter of how accurate will be the machine if every ball?
@natestenniscomeback1486

Old/flat balls are much more likely to get stuck in the machine. It will also create an inconsistent feed

I use a terrible mismatch of good and (mostly) really crappy balls in my Slinger Bag at the moment and getting lots of practice adjusting to wide variety of bad bounces. Good exercise. Not so good practice. The ball picker upper tube thing that came with my Slinger Bag Picks up heavier felted balls best. I applied some hot glue in four spots around the inside of bottom pick-up end of tube to pick up the skin-heads.

So wait…. Does a pressurized ball that loses it pressure not just become like a “pressureless” in behavior?
@natestenniscomeback1486
@natestenniscomeback1486 Год назад
Great question! No! Pressurized balls are not meant to be played when they go flat. Their performance will dramatically decline as it looses pressure. Pressure less balls ARE meant to maintain the performance and shouldn’t loose pressure as fast as pressurized balls. This is a big reason why i suggest ppl NOT use “old balls” in their ball machine

@@natestenniscomeback1486shouldn't say "pressureless balls lose pressure" Say lose bounce or liveliness, and of course the fuzz wear.

@@natestenniscomeback1486 penn. tennis tudor even recommended against using new balls. just wondering if there was an easy way to break them in. i usually put a set or two them, then toss them into my basket, but it would be nice if there were a quicker process.
@natestenniscomeback1486
@natestenniscomeback1486 Год назад
@@driger888 hmm that’s really interesting. I think if you increase the top spin and increase the frequency of balls being shot out (so more balls are shot out faster) that would help break them in. Just let the balls run through once or twice. Idk a faster way then that. It’s interesting that tennis tutor doesn’t want you to use new balls.

Pressureless tennis balls lost hair as well. Just because it did not lose air pressure. Balls are big expense. My ball expense is high than the machine over machine life time.

@@natestenniscomeback1486 a little off topic but a question for you. So I've started competing at a low level but I'm competing. Any lessons about serve you recommend or drills? First serve I'm hitting about 30-40% and second serve I'm just doing a little low speed flat footed pop which I'm hitting like 90% of the time. I hate double faulting. I've given up trying to be a Pete Samprass and really just want to put the ball in play safely so my oppenent can't smash it so we can just get into the rallying. Any advice I'm all ears.
@natestenniscomeback1486
@natestenniscomeback1486 3 года назад
@@sonicmilk great to hear that you are competing, this is how you really find out how good you are! When it comes to serve drills make sure you do these 2 things: 1. Hit at ZONES not a target. set up TWO cones or draw a box with chalk and the goal is to get the ball in the zone. It will increase your confidence and help your serve % go up. once you are warmed up, take ten balls and tell your self, the goal is to get as many as possible into the zone you created. 2. Focus on your technique. The serve is complicated but the most important shot you have. make sure you are taking steps to improve the technique you have. You dont need to be sampras, but if you have bad technique it will be hard to improve. (i am not a coach so when it comes to technique I can only give general feedback mainly) 3. Record your self. This will make the things you are doing well and doing wrong very obvious to yourself. Good luck out there!

Any Gamma tennis in my opinion are the worst for ball machines, they are too hard and the ball nap is very slippery which can cause the wheels surface to become slippery and smooth.
