Hey David, thanks for the comment. I'm pleased that you liked the video🙂. Stay tuned as there's a video about different types of bottom brackets that you might be interested in coming out this Friday
i’m trying to get the bottom bracket off my bike right now and i’m struggling on which tool to use, i’m pretty sure i need the lock ring spanner, do i need to look for a certain measurement or can i just buy any lock ring spanner?
Have you ever had trouble using a standard 20 spline removal tool? I have a 20 spline BB but the tool appears to be too wide. Tool is 32mm but looks like it needs to be 30mm.. Any suggestions?
Hello, and thank you for your question. It's quite intriguing. Have you attempted using a different 20-spline tool with it? If it still doesn't seem to fit, it's possible that the bottom bracket has an uncommon spline size. In such a scenario, I'd recommend getting in touch with your local bike shop (LBS). Once they've had a chance to inspect it, they should be able to identify the appropriate tool for the job. I hope this helps. Let us know what was the probem.
I have the exact same problem - Shimano UN52 tool appears to match up but is slightly too large to fit i the grooves. Will probably see if a Park BBT-32 or -22 will be slightly smaller and work.
Hi and thanks for your comment. I like your advice:). People absorb information at their own pace, so if fast-forwarding through the introduction and speeding up the video helps, that's perfectly fine with me, as long as the video's content is helpful!🙂
