I reckon you should've used more cars with wings. normally the wing was only slightly taller than the roof, if at all, and they'd help push down on the car and lower it the faster you went.
But the Hopper is still too high off the ground even with the stock suspension parts and the body torn off the frame, so you'd still get stuck somewhere along the way
Note that the d-series does the same thing however as the d-series is a truck, the suspension with simply too high for it to go under the last limbo bar

Get up close to the last beam and examine it carefully there are knobs that stick out in various places, plus it might not be straight. Try to find the biggest gap. Another cheat is to use a vehicle with big tires. Smash the body down to tire height then CLIMB OVER the remaining beams.
