The AFL must really want to pay for all players shoulder reconstructions. Good point on how many kids shoulders will be now permanently damaged by this.
Oh come on Kingy. Sidebottom was not wing tackled. They paid it exactly to the rule, where a player has had no prior and doesn't make an attempt to dispose.
Port are done, play Carlton and Sydney, cant drop a game. Will finish 11th. Good work Ken, stellar job mate 👏 The frustrating thing is that Ive know for 5 years why, no big forwards and too predictable gameplan. Weve had the list. Minus Dixon and Marshall who have let us down Badly forever.
Thanks Kingy for acknowledging the Dees and Simon, thought you might mention Langdon’s game. Scott disrespected his running power, and Essendon couldn’t sustain fwd 50 pressure, their game broken on the rock of Langdon’s running.
I was at the Eagles game on the weekend and noticed Yeo got tackled in a similar tackle to the chicken wing and it looked to me at the time that he injured his pectoral muscle. I remember saying at the time that I'm no doctor but it looks like he has done his pec. As it turns out he played out the game and looked like he got away without being injured. I like the current ruling on holding the ball and agree with Buckley. I hated the previous interpretation and it angered me a lot. I am enjoying the footy again since the change. I do agree with King that we have to monitor the chicken wing but also agree with Whateley that perhaps there are 2 different movements and the NRL version is the one that we outlaw.
Kingy just needs to call for the tackle to be banned completely. Its what he wants. 😢 Hes a really good footy analyst, I wish hed stick more with the footy and leave the tackle stuff unless he has an actual answer. Come to me with solutions, not problems my old boss used to say.
Hysteria Kingy, a chicken wing tackle involves ripping the arm held and deliberately and with force pulled upward to cause serious discomfort as in rugby league which is banned and severely punished holding the arm extended is not a chicken wing fhs, calm down typical AFL create a change that then results in more change and creates over hyped issue
Tackling needs to be sorted, but "chicken wing" tackling, yeah, is an over reaction comment. RL "chicken wing" tackle is much more ferocious than what's happening in the AFL.
Pressure needs to be on Brad Scott. Went too tall in the wet vs Cats only just a few weeks and got found out. And did the exact same thing again, madness.
@@protoindoeuropean crowd numbers would suggest that? You probably think the players from the 80’s and 90’s are better than today “soft” players! You also probably think the way the game was back in the 80/90’s was the best version, where players would king hit each other behind play, real tough mate!
David King is really switched on about the chicken wing tackle. The AFL interpretation is ridiculous. It supposed to be on prior opportunity not how a tackle looks. The rest of the media???
Finals was my hope for the cats this year. That experience for our kids is going to be good. Can’t see us winning the flag but prelim is certainly on the cards. Go cats
Dogs had to win to stay in contention and play well at Marvel. If you look at the stats and not at the score, Carlton looked 3 or 4 goal winners, Bulldogs just used the ball better and were cleaner on the night. Hopefully its a wakeup call for Carlton.
Can't be world class when the game is only professionally played in Australia. We're not going to do what the Yanks do and call the national champion the world champion.
There's something like 30 leagues in other countries now, so technically it's a correct statement. Why do people care if AFL is as big or popular as other sports? I don't.
@@Power_Prawnstar Those leagues wouldn't even go close to being of a reserve grade standard in a country league. They are therefore totally irrelevant. AFL is the biggest football code in Australia, which is the only country where it is played for all intents and purposes.
Hahahaha, yeah define Port Adelaide's loss on JHF. Don't put the failings on the coach, after he came out and labelled this the best list he's had since. Blame the playing list. It's always been the playing list. The issue we need to fix is Ken Hinkley you muppets.
Ports issues have been an ongoing issue since Hinkley took over. Why haven’t they evolved to a degree to be a genuine contender? Their playing list has changed significantly but the same issues persist. It is infuriating and they also appear to be going backwards despite new recruits.
@@Jamie_one_of_many_prophets Don't know mate, good questions. According to the media Port fans are crazy to ask these questions, and only after 12 years of the same bullshit when fans have finally had enough and boo we are labelled an angry mob by Ken's friends in the media like Gerrard Whately. Absolute bonkers. Not the SANFL anymore, Ken single handedly saved your club blah blah blah.
Ah so who is the new Pretender Rival to the Swans this week? Given Vic Media's dreams and desires, I'm gonna say: 1) Lions (kinda legit); 2) Cats (illegitimate); 3) Demons (illegitimate); 4) Dogs (illegitimate); 5) Giants (illegitimate); 6) still the Blues???; 7) the Hawks??? Hahaha Either way we'll look back at this year and the idiocy of trying to hoist these mediocre teams up against the Swans and laugh, laugh, laugh...
I'm a Swans supporter and know that in a knockout final we all start with the scoreboard on 0, and mentally and physically we'll need to be on our game. Its not Vicbias, it's just a fact that flags are hard to win, and they aren't won in July
Gerard you talk a lot of shit let’s deal with the real thing just get the ball and forget about politics like our politicians ruining footy and our country
@@hardto994for the big games! Fair few empty seats In Melbourne spotted! Melbourne shite weather again?Anyway flag going interstate anyway, GF preview is Lions , Swans chaps! 👍😂🥳
